Betsafe Casino, Sportsbook & Poker Review

Let’s chat about Betsafe Casino.

We were excited to check these guys out because they’re a multi-product gambling brand. They have a casino, sportsbook and poker room.

One thing you’ll notice when you hit their site is that Conor McGregor, an MMA fighter, is in the background. He became a brand ambassador in August 2017. This was around the same time that one of the most talked about, profitable and viewed Pay-Per-View boxing matches took place – McGregor vs Mayweather.

(You know, the fight where Mayweather masterfully served McGregor his loss on a silver platter. That fight.)

It’s interesting to see Conor in the background. If you’ve ever seen his interviews, weigh ins or fights, you know he’s loud, brash and confident. He doesn’t just sit in the background with his mouth shut.

How the heck is there not a video of Conor hyping Betsafe up? A short clip that tells you about their 1,000+ casino games, 30,000+ betting markets or their valuable poker tourneys?

Who knows. Oh well, not everyone can get it right all the time. Not even a top-notch casino like Betsafe.

But there are loads of things they do do well. We’re going to cover what those things are, as well as what they can improve – because we want to give you a 100% unbiased and honest look – in our review below.

Let’s dive in.

Betsafe Basic Information

Betsafe is operated by BML Group Ltd. They’ve been in business since 2006. Since then, they’ve served more than 450,000 customers from more than 100 countries.

They’re currently licensed through the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC.) Which means safe and fair games for you.

Betsafe is owned by parent company Betsson. Betsson acquired the Betsafe Group in 2011 for SEK 292 M. The goal was to acquire more market share. They accomplished just that. The purchase pushed their customer numbers beyond 419,000, surpassing Unibit in the process.

The Casino

You’re going to have a good time at Betsafe Casino. Want to know how we know?

Because the first thing you see are all the games in the sidebar. More specifically, you see the number of games available in each section.

  • Video Slots – 935
  • Roulette – 12
  • Jackpot – 107
  • Table Games – 53
  • Classic Slots – 28
  • Blackjack – 18
  • Video Poker – 14
  • Live Casino – 113

If you can’t find something to play here, out of 1,000+ games, close your browser and pick up a different hobby. Find something to watch on Netflix.

All these quality games wouldn’t be possible if Betsafe didn’t work with the best software developers. Fortunately for you, they do.

You can play games from:

  • Microgaming
  • Ongame
  • NetEnt
  • Evolution Gaming
  • Play’n GO
  • Thunderkick
  • Pragmatic Play
  • Red Tiger Gaming
  • Foxium

And more!

We’re going to look at examples of games you can play from these companies in the following sections. We’ll not only show you some of the games you can play, but we’ll tell you what we liked most and least about them.

Let’s get into it.

Table Games

We found more than 50 games in Betsafe’s table game section. While they have separate sections for each game, you’ll find their blackjack and roulette games in this section, too.

Here are some of the games you’ll find here:

  • European Roulette
  • Blackjack Multi Hand
  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • European Blackjack Multi Hand
  • Casino Hold’em Poker
  • Casino Patience
  • Texas Holdem Bonus Poker
  • Texas Hold’em Switch
  • Blackjack Single Deck
  • Blackjack Double Exposure
  • Roulette La Partage
  • Blackjack (3 Hand)
  • Roulette
  • Blackjack
  • Super Wheel
  • Casino Stud Poker
  • Texas Hold’em
  • Caribbean Poker
  • Casino Hold’em
  • Key Bet Roulette
  • Monopoly Roulette
  • Tycoon
  • European Roulette
  • Baccarat
  • BJ Double Exposure
  • Blackjack Double Jack
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • English Roulette
  • Punto Banco
  • Swap the Flop
  • French Roulette
  • Buster Blackjack
  • Lucky Ladies Blackjack
  • 21+3 Blackjack
  • 6 In 1 Blackjack
  • Red Dog
  • Beat Me
  • Oasis Poker
  • 3 Card Hold’em
  • Pontoon

And more!

One thing we noticed right off are some of the games you don’t often see elsewhere. For example, Pai Gow Poker, Beat Me, Buster Blackjack or Swap the Flop.

It’s also nice to see a mix of both quantity and diverseness. There are some duplicate titles here, but it doesn’t detract from your experience. There are plenty of unique games to play.

We found stakes as low as $0.10 to $1, depending on the game you choose. Max bets were in the $100-$200 range, though we found a few outliers. For example, one baccarat game we found had a $1,000 table limit. We also found several blackjack and roulette variants with $500 and $1,000 limits. One Gold variant we found even had a $9,000 limit.

It looks like most budgets will be accommodated here.

We opened up a blackjack game to check it out. We tried to switch from real to practice play, but it didn’t work. On the bright side, the graphics looked good.

Their games don’t appear to be mobile responsive, though. That’s okay, because we later found out that they have a native app for Android and iOS devices. We’ll talk more about their apps and what you can expect to find in our mobile section.

Video Poker

You’ll find nearly 15 video poker titles at Betsafe. Here are the titles you can play:

  • Jacks or Better Double Up
  • Deuces Wild Double Up
  • Joker Wild Double Up
  • All American Double Up
  • Jacks or Better
  • Joker Poker 2
  • Joker Poker MH
  • Deuces Wild
  • Jacks or Better MH
  • Jackpot Poker MH
  • All American
  • Jacks or Better
  • Deuces Wild
  • Joker Wild

This is an okay selection. There are 14 games listed, but the number of unique game you can play is half that. At least they cover the bases, though. They have a couple variants (double up and multi hand), too.

Stakes will vary from $0.10 per coin up to $100 per round.

The graphics will vary from basic to realistic, depending on the machine you play. The basic graphics will remind you of MS Dos. The realistic graphics will make you feel like you’re sitting at an actual machine in the middle of a casino.

Overall, their video poker section is average. It’s certainly not the strongest section on their site. But we think everyone, but the most hardcore enthusiasts will be happy playing here.

Slots

This is by far Betsafe’s largest section. You’ll find more than 930 machines in their video slots section alone.

Here are some of the slots you’ll find here:

  • Starburst
  • Cosmic Eclipse (Exclusive)
  • Gonzo’s Quest
  • Dragon Kingdom
  • Lucky Little Gods
  • Valley of the Gods
  • Mild Rockers
  • Temple Quest Spinfinity
  • Tetris Super Jackpots
  • Chili Heat
  • The Phantom’s Curse
  • Romeo and Juliet
  • Leprechaun Goes to Hell
  • Eye of the Amulet
  • Snow Wild & the Seven Features
  • Pong
  • Flowers Christmas Edition
  • Dragon Wins
  • Valkyries of Odin
  • Monopoly on the Money
  • Holly Jolly Penguins
  • Hansel and Gretel
  • Pick a Fortune
  • Finn and the Swirly Spin
  • Gold Factory
  • Jack in the Box
  • Planet of the Apes
  • Vampire the Masquerade
  • The Phantom of the Opera
  • The Legend of Shangri La Cluster Pays
  • Moby Dick
  • Blood Suckers 2
  • Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters
  • Ted
  • Jungle Books
  • Super Monopoly Money
  • Trick or Treat
  • Baywatch
  • Rambo

And more!

We’re barely scraping the surface here. In fact, this list makes up less than 5% of the slot machines available for you to play.

There are so many types of slot machines, it’s hard to do it justice. You’ll find slots with features, bonus rounds, progressive jackpots and more. There are lots of themes, too. For example, you’ll find slots based on themes like:

  • Comic Books
  • Adventure
  • Music
  • Celebrities
  • Movies
  • TV Shows
  • Outer Space
  • Zombies
  • Sports
  • Fairytales
  • Animals
  • Board Games
  • Money / Diamonds / Gold
  • Fruit
  • Horror
  • Trends
  • Roman Times
  • Video Games
  • Food

And more!

Our favorite slots are those that revolve around licensed properties. For example, slots around movies, TV shows, comic books, celebrities and so on.

For example, we’d probably tackle the Universal Monster machines first. We’re into old stories, horror films and the monster makeup exhibit at Universal Studios was cool to see.

We’d play the comic book slots, next. For example, the machines revolving around Wonder Woman and Batman. Because… Batman. Some of our most favorite and highest paying slots were those that focused on the Dark Knight. True story.

The Wizard of Oz is another licensed slot machine we’ve enjoyed playing in Las Vegas. You’ll find at least one of those here at Betsafe. The bonus rounds are lots of fun because they usually focus on the witches of the East and West. They can pay out good money, too. We once won $130 by hitting a piece of Dorothy and 4 wild reels.

Then you have their progressive jackpot machines. You’ll find more than 100 different games in their jackpot section. We found several jackpots worth a meager 5-figures. Then there were several more that were worth $750,000 or more.

The bottom line, is that if there’s a specific theme or brand or type of slot you’re looking for, you’ll find it here.

One of the only improvements we’d like to see made is a better filter system. Right now, you can filter by title or release date. This isn’t good enough when you figure you’ll still need to weed through 900+ slot machines. You can favorite the ones you like to play so you can find them faster later. But you still need to FIND them first.

All in all, Betsafe has done a great job here.

Live Dealer Games

Betsafe’s live casino is one of the largest we’ve seen. They have more than 110 games and tables to choose from. Here are some of the titles you’ll find here:

  • American Roulette
  • Live Roulette
  • Speed Roulette
  • Grand Casino Dual Roulette
  • Golden Ball
  • Double Ball Roulette Table
  • Dragonara Roulette
  • Live VIP Roulette
  • Club Roulette
  • Dolphin Pearl Roulette
  • Exclusive Blackjack
  • Live Blackjack
  • Blackjack Party
  • Blackjack Silver
  • Blackjack Platinum VIP
  • Fortune VIP Blackjack
  • Live Common Draw Blackjack
  • Live Extreme Blackjack
  • Lounge Blackjack
  • Blackjack Diamond VIP
  • Live Casino Holdem
  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • Ultimate Texas Holdem
  • Three Card Poker
  • Dream Catcher

And more!

This is about as diverse as their game selection gets. So, the 110+ games IS a little misleading. Many of their other games are just additional tables to handle large fluxes in traffic.

That said, they do have variants. For example, you can choose between men or women dealers. They also have tables where the dealers speak different languages. We found that you can switch between English, French, Italian and Dutch, for instance.

The stakes will vary wildly. It depends on the game you want to play and the software developer behind it. But we found games that started out at $0.10 (roulette) and $1 (table games.) Limits peaked at $5-$10,000 for table games and $75,000 for roulette.

They’ve done a good job. But what else would you expect when they get their games from Evolution Gaming?

Poker

Next up, let’s talk about Betsafe’s poker room.

Their poker room is on the Microgaming Poker Network (MPN.) According to PokerScout.com, they’re 17th in overall traffic. This isn’t very good. However, they also say the data isn’t current.

Betsafe says they have more than 11,400 players (when we reviewed them.) The number updates every few minutes. When we looked later, they had 11,310. We think you can safely assume their number is accurate.

Regardless, one of the biggest downsides to playing here will be their traffic levels. Their traffic pales in comparison to the tens of thousands you’ll find at PokerStars… or PokerStars Europe… PokerStars.It.

Okay, EVERYONE pales in comparison to PokerStars. But Betsafe also falls behind 888 and Party Poker, too – at least, according to PokerScout.com.

This is important to consider because, without players, games won’t consistently run. If you’re someone who likes to multi-table 12 tables, chances are you’re going to be unhappy here.

That said, if you play less than a couple of tables at a time, or if you only want to play a few tournaments over the weekend, then you might find some value here.

We’ll tell you exactly what we found in the following sections. You can use that information to decide if Betsafe is the right place for your poker needs.

Important!
They have an option to download their software or use their instant play software. For this review, we used the instant play option. Keep in mind that some of the games or stakes may be different from what we’ve talked about below if you go the download route.

Cash Games

You’ll have two options for cash games, holdem and omaha.

For holdem, you’ll find tables as low as $0.01/$0.02 to as high as $200/$400. The busier tables were those at $1/$2 and lower. You can play omaha for $0.01/$0.02 to as high as $50/$100. We found players at almost every level, though the majority were at $0.25/$0.50 and lower.

The cash game variants they offer include anonymous, regular, deep stack and turbo.

Betsafe also has their fast fold variant. They call theirs Blaze Poker. Here’s a birds-eye view of how fast fold poker works:

Once you choose your game and level, you’ll be added to a player pool. Then Betsafe will seat you with other players from the pool and deal you your hand. This is where things get interesting.

If you want to fold your hand, you can do so immediately. You don’t have to wait until it’s your turn to act.

Regardless of when you fold, once you do or the hand is over, Betsafe will seat you at a new table with players from the pool. You’ll then receive a new hand to play.

You’ve got to try this variant to truly appreciate how fun and fast paced it is. You’ll get to play 2-4x the number of hands per hour compared to a regular table. If you’re an action oriented player, or if you want to fold everything but pocket pairs, Blaze Poker is a great way to do that.

Tournaments and Sit and Go’s

Betsafe has a solid tournament section.

We found a variety of tournaments ranging in stakes starting at $0.22 and peaking at $1,500. However, most of the tournaments above $25 are satellites or part of The Classic series they were running when we reviewed them. Most of their evergreen tourneys will have a buy-in of less than $25, with a few exceptions sprinkled in.

For example, here are some of the tournaments you’ll find here (tournament – buy-in):

  • $1,500 Avalon – $55
  • $1,000 Avalon 2 – $55
  • $1,500 Megabyte – $33
  • $1,000 Big Ante (1R/1A) – $22
  • $8,000 Daily Mosh Pit – $22
  • $400 6-Max Freezeout – $22
  • $1,200 Cashville – $11
  • $2,000 Jungle Jim – $11
  • $1,000 Daily Express – $11
  • $1,000 Turbo Deep Stack Freezeout – $11
  • Satellite to Avalon 2 – $11
  • $2,000 Turbo Deep Stack Rebuy – $11
  • $200 Turbo Freezeout – $5.50
  • $750 1R1A – $5.50
  • $333 Nightly Threesome – $3.30

Their tournaments are clearly for recreational players or players on a budget. There’s nothing wrong with that, though. These kinds of tourneys can be a great way to build up a bankroll.

For example, we looked at the lobby of a $300 6-max with 1 rebuy and 1 addon. There were only 18 players registered, though they did offer late registration.

What makes this tournament so profitable is that the buy-in was only $2.20. With only 18 players registered, they were paying out the top 3 players like this:

  • 1st – $150 (50%)
  • 2nd – $90 (30%)
  • 3rd – $60 (20%)

We compared this to the 180-mans at PokerStars. For their $8 buy-in tourney, 1st place will receive about $400 for 2-3 hours work.

If we scaled this down to fit our buy-in level, that would mean that a $2 buy-in would net the first-place finisher $100.

This 6-max tourney will payout 50% more to the first-place winner. We have no idea how many players ultimately signed up, or how big the prize pool got since players could rebuy and addon. But we bet no one played 2-3 hours for what was likely to be an equal or better payout (to the 180-man tourneys.)

The point we’re trying to make is that you can find some value in their tournaments if you know what you’re looking for and have basic MTT strategy down. While Betsafe doesn’t have as much traffic as other sites do, a solid player can clean up here playing part time.

And don’t forget that, even if you’re on a smaller budget, you can play satellites to Betsafe’s larger buy-in tournaments.

Speaking of which, every once in a while, Betsafe runs satellites to their tournament series or live events, too. This can be another profitable opportunity to pad your bankroll.

As for the rest of their tournament variants, here’s what you’ll find:

  • Standard
  • Freezeout
  • Rebuy
  • Turbo
  • Super turbo
  • Satellite
  • Freeroll
  • Flip
  • Guaranteed
  • Private
  • Special

We also checked out their omaha tournaments while we were there. They only had a couple that were regular tourneys, such as the $1,000 Fantastic Four and $100 Anything But Holdem.

That goes for their sit and go tourneys, too. They had several omaha games ranging in stakes from $0.11 to $215, but we didn’t see one person seated.

You’ll have a little more luck playing their holdem SNGs. The stakes here start at $0.01 and peak at $1,050. The variants you can choose from include:

  • Standard
  • Special
  • Satellite
  • Private
  • Other
  • Flip
  • Super turbo
  • Turbo

They don’t show you the games that are running, so it’s hard to get an idea of how many games you could play in a session/day. But we found multiple players seated at tables as high as $33 and a few lone players sitting at the nosebleed heads-up tables waiting for action.

Ultimately, we don’t expect players to make big money at Betsafe’s SNGs. But they may be an option for filling in the gaps of your schedule or to keep you busy between tournaments.

Noteworthy Features

Here are some of the features we found:

  • Anonymous Tables – Play at tables where no one can identify who you are
  • Avatars – Choose from more than 125 different avatars
  • Background – Choose from 4 different backgrounds
  • 4 Color Deck – Make it easier to see flushes
  • Auto Top Up – Never have less than the full buy in (minimum)
  • Muck Winning Hands – Never show your winning hands to the table
  • Muck Losing Hands – Never show your losing hands to the table
  • Multi Table – Play several tables simultaneously
  • Alias – Change your alias every 30 days or 1,000 raked hands

You can also open up their casino games from your table. This can be a great way to fill the time between hands. We prefer to focus on the game, but to each their own.

The Sportsbook

Last up, Betsafe’s sportsbook.

We were pleasantly surprised at all the sports and markets you can bet on here. For example, you’ll find the following sports listed in their left sidebar:

  • Football
  • Mixed Martial Arts (MMA)
  • Tennis
  • Basketball
  • Boxing
  • Cricket
  • Darts
  • Esports
  • Formula 1
  • Golf
  • Motorbikes
  • Motorsports
  • Rugby League
  • Rugby Union
  • American Football
  • Australian Rules
  • Badminton
  • Bandy
  • Baseball
  • Curling
  • Floorball
  • Futsal
  • Gaelic Sports
  • Handball
  • Ice Hockey
  • Olympics
  • Snooker
  • Speedway
  • Volleyball
  • Winter Sports
  • Politics and Business
  • Film
  • TV Events

You’ll also find horse racing, dog racing and virtual sports in different sections of the sportsbook.

Clearly, there’s a lot to bet on here. What’s more is that, when you click on a specific sport, it’ll drop down to show you additional sub categories. For example, click on American Football and you’ll find:

  • Canada
  • NFL
  • USA

Or, click on basketball and find:

  • NBA
  • Euroleague
  • European cups
  • NCAA
  • Spain
  • Germany
  • Italy
  • France
  • Finland
  • Denmark

And more!

Click on some of those sub categories and you’ll find even more categories. You can get very specific.

Not only that, but when you go through each sport in the sidebar, you’ll see how many markets they offer for each one.

For example:

  • Football – 29,034
  • MMA – 49
  • Basketball – 615
  • Boxing – 165
  • Darts – 119
  • Esports – 192
  • Rugby Union – 179
  • Floorball – 114
  • Ice Hockey – 5,056
  • Olympics – 597

These change, of course. But you can quickly get an idea of what sports you may want to skip or pursue based on the number of markets it has.

Features and Stakes

Here are the betting features and options available at Betsafe:

  • Unit – Choose between metric or imperial
  • Format – Choose between decimal or fractional
  • Live Stream Quality
  • Open steams in a new window
  • Confirm every betslip
  • Preferred stakes in EUR or USD
  • Country Order – Place the countries you want to focus on at the top

Just the basics. There’s nothing wrong with that, though. Often, simple is better.

As far as betting limits, they start at $0.10. They don’t have or list a max bet. They do list a max on how much you can win, though. This is what their limits look like:

  • Bet Win Limit – €100,000
  • Day Win Limit – €250,000
  • Week Win Limit – €500,000

This will vary based on the currency you’re using.

In-Play Betting

Betsafe offers live sports betting, too. When we were there, you could make bets on:

  • Football
  • Tennis
  • Basketball
  • Esports
  • Ice Hockey
  • Volleyball
  • Olympics

The types of (Live) bets you could make live include:

  • Handicap
  • Match Winner
  • Match
  • Asian Handicap
  • Number of Goals
  • 1st Half
  • Match Correct Score
  • Set
  • Odd or Even

And more!

Betsafe also offers live streaming. Though, the live stream from the sportsbook is simply a play-by-play simulation. You’ll find a live stream of the actual games they cover in the virtual sports section.

Esports

Betsafe does a pretty good job covering esports. They had more than 180 different markets you could bet on while we were there. Betting opportunities were available for the following games:

  • CS:GO
  • DOTA 2
  • Heroes of Store
  • LoL
  • Overwatch
  • Starcraft 2

Each game menu drops down to show specific leagues or tournaments you can bet on. Here are a few examples we found:

  • LoL: LMS
  • Turkish CL
  • Champs Korea
  • OWL
  • Global Champ.
  • Asia Champ.
  • Hellcase Cup

And more!

You can bet on all sorts of outcomes, too, such as:

  • Match Winner
  • Maps Handicap
  • Number of Maps
  • Winner – Map
  • Correct Score

Last, Betsafe offers live esports betting. This still isn’t very common, so kudos to them. They were covering the following tournaments and leagues live when we reviewed them:

  • CS GO: The Summit
  • CS GO: Farmskins Championship
  • DOTA2: Dream League
  • DOTA2: Asia Championship

These offered special markets for these tournaments, like Map 2 – Team to Slay Next Roshan: 1 and Map 2 Race to 5 Kill.

One thing we didn’t see is a live stream. That’s probably our biggest criticism. Other than that, their esports section is solid. Definitely better than most.

Banking Options

The following two sections covers details about the banking options you can use at Betsafe to make deposits and cash outs.

Deposits

Here are the banking methods you can use to make a deposit, as well as the limits for each one:

  • PayPal – €15 – €8000
  • Bank Transfer – $10 – $1,000,000
  • Visa – $10 – $20,000
  • Skrill – $10 – $50,000

  • Maestro – $20 – $20,000
  • Instant Banking – $ 10 – $20,000

Their deposit limits are excellent compared to other gambling sites. There are no fees on deposits, either. They’ve done a great job here.

Withdrawals

You can use the following banking methods to cash your winnings out:

  • Trustly – $30 – $20,000
  • Bank Transfer – $30 – $100,000
  • PayPal – $20 – $8,000
  • Visa – $20 – $11,000

  • Neteller – $20 – $50,000

Their cash out limits are also high relative to other international casinos. Though, it’s interesting to see that you can cash out no more than 10% of what they allow you to deposit using a bank transfer.

The most you can cash out in a 24-hour period is $50,000. You’ll also get 30 cash outs fee-free in a calendar month. Any cash out beyond that will have a 2% fee (min $5.)

Bonus Promotions

Betsafe has a few evergreen promotions running. We’ve shared the details for each of those offers below. Afterwards, we’ll share a few things we liked and disliked about them.

Casino Offers

  • Extreme Live Roulette Bonus – Opt-in for this offer and wager at least $50 on any live Extreme Roulette table. Once you do, you’ll receive a $10 bonus that you can use in either their casino or live casino. This bonus has a 35x rollover.

Poker Offers

  • Welcome Bonus – Their welcome offer comes with a few perks. Here’s what you’ll get:
  • $25-$1,000 Bonus

Pretty simple, right? You’ll receive a prize whenever you complete a challenge. The prizes range from a couple bucks cash to free spins on a slot machine.

The 10-day challenge starts as soon as you complete your poker alias. You’ll want to have your ducks in a row (money to deposit, free time to play, etc.) prior to joining so that you can take full advantage of this.

  • VIP Program – Their VIP program uses a standard tier setup. Theirs has 4 tiers – here are the tiers and the points required to get to each one:
  • Silver – 1-499
  • Gold – 500-999
  • Platinum – 1,000-2,999
  • Diamond – 3,000

You earn 10 points for every $1 you pay in rake.

As you move up in levels, you’ll receive more cash back. You’ll get anywhere from 10% to 30%. You’ll also receive cash rewards in exchange for points.

  • Bad Beat Jackpot – Opt-in at any qualifying bad beat table. Once you do, you’ll contribute $0.02 per hand towards the jackpot. Do this and you’re eligible to win.

The jackpot is triggered when a player holding any four of a kind is beaten by a better hand. When this happens, everyone playing at those stakes will win cash.

Here’s how the money is distributed:

  • Losing hand – 40%
  • Winning hand – 20%
  • Other players dealt in – 10%
  • Players at the same stakes – 10%
  • Amount to reseed the next jackpot – 20%

If you want to play at the bad beat jackpot tables, you’ll need to play holdem cash games at limits of $0.10/$0.20 or higher.

  • $30k Freeroll Festival – Play in one of their daily or Sunday freerolls that have real money prize pools. The standard prize pool is $50, but it increases to $200, $1,000 and $3,000 on Mondays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Each freeroll has a minimum requirement you need to meet before you can register. You’ll need to play between 1-100 raked hands, depending on the freeroll you want to join.

That’s it for their offers.

Honestly, it’s a bit disappointing not to see a welcome offer for their casino and sportsbook. It’s also disappointing not to see more offers overall.

Sure, they have that roulette offer for casino players. But we don’t really count it as a welcome offer, as not everyone wants to play roulette or in the live casino.

We sent them an email to ask them whether they offered anything else. Here’s what they had to say:

We do offer a variety of welcome offers and in order to check the eligibility for you I just need you to confirm your country of residence as many of our welcome offers can differ based on the country you are registered from.

They didn’t recognize our email address as we used a different one to join. That said, we created a UK account. We assume that the offers above must’ve been all we were eligible for.

It’s possible that they’d offer something through email. But why make us jump through hoops like that to get them? And, if they have offers available later in the sign-up process, it’d still make sense to share them on their website. Some people want to know about them before they join.

We didn’t receive any emails after signing up, either. That’s another missed opportunity to give us a special bonus or free bet offer.

Ultimately, Betsafe is a solid casino. It’s not like they need to give bonuses away to get people to play here. That said, it is a standard practice used industry wide, so it’s something we’ve got to grade them on.

That’s one of the biggest improvements we think they can make.

Mobile Friendliness

Betsafe has a mobile app that’s compatible with Android and iOS. You’ll have access to their (live) sportsbook, (live) casino, virtual sports and poker room. You’ll also be able to watch their live streams.

Here are some of the things you can do in each section using their app:

  • Sports – Watch live streams, make pre and live bets and bet on horses
  • Casino – Play 300+ mobile games, access their virtual sportsbook and play progressive jackpot slot machines
  • Live Casino – Play 45+ live casino games in 4 languages. Play for as much as $5,000 on their blackjack tables
  • Poker – Play cash games, Fish Party SNGs, tourneys and regular SNGs

You’ll find download links for each app on their website.

Customer Support

You can contact Betsafe using the following options:

Envelope
PHONE: +44 808 238 0028
LIVE CHAT

They also have a robust FAQ section.

The fact that they have a phone number you can call is a pretty big deal. You don’t see that much nowadays.

We contacted them via email to ask them about their promotions. They responded in just shy of an hour, which is great.

Our only criticism here is that their response (regarding their promotions) was a little vague. We can shoulder some of the responsibility there, as we used a different email address. But we think they still could’ve given a few examples of additional offers they were giving players.

This is a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things, though.

Conclusion – Betsafe Casino

We’re impressed with Betsafe.

We like how they have 900+ games to choose from. It’s not all slots, either. You’ll find more than 150 video poker, live casino and table games, too.

Their sportsbook is also solid. You’ll have more than 30 sports and 30,000 markets to bet on. They have an above average esports section. You can make live bets and watch their live streams, too.

Then there’s their poker room. We don’t think it’s suitable for pro players. However, recreational or serious players can still clean up here with some basic strategy.

Like we said, we’re impressed.

All that said, there are a few things we think they can do better. The most important improvement are their promotions – they can use a few more of them. More specifically, we’d like to see a welcome offer for both their casino and sportsbook.

We’d also like them to fix their practice (free) play button. It didn’t work for us when we reviewed them. The button’s stuck, as if someone got drunk and spilled their drink on it.

Like that’d ever happen in a casino, though. Amirite?

Ultimately, the upsides easily overshadow any of the downsides we found at Betsafe. Which is why we have no problem recommending their casino, sportsbook and poker room to our readers.
