BetOnline Review

BetOnline has been a major presence in the online gambling sphere since the early 21st century. As an all-in-one site, you can play casino games, wager on sports, and play live poker here. As I discovered while conducting my BetOnline review, the brand has a lot to offer.

I am always encouraged to find safe online casinos that offer valuable bonuses. In my review of BetOnline, I was met with the choice of a 100% match deposit of up to $1000 as well as a great crypto casino offer. This prospect meant some additional bonus cash to play with on top slots from the likes of Betsoft, Rival, and Nucleus Gaming.

With 23 blackjack games at the casino and an excellent live dealer suite, I was spoiled for choice. This was further enhanced when I found top video poker and eSports titles to try out. With so many options, you could say there is a little something for everyone under the BetOnline banner. Sign up now to claim your welcome bonus and play some games!

Review of the BetOnline Bonuses and Promotions

I decided to start my review of BetOnline with a look over the site’s bonuses. When I arrived at the landing page, they were right in my face. This company wants you to see the many offers and promotions up for grabs – and for a reason!

With so many different offers available to players, I had options to consider. If I want to play casino games only, there is a promotion for that. But as an all-in-one site, BetOnline tailors some offers to sports bettors and poker enthusiasts, too. There are a couple of strong sports welcome bonuses, including a 50% offer up to $1,000. Here is some information about the options for BetOnline welcome bonuses.

BetOnline’s Casino Welcome Bonus

BetOnline’s welcome offer is generous, but I’m not crazy about the 45x the deposit and bonus rollover. This is a touch on the high side. Admittedly, offers of this magnitude usually have high turnovers, but not all of them. For example, another all-in-one site, Bovada, has a similar casino welcome offer. Except it comes with a turnover of 25x the deposit and bonus.

BetOnline Welcome Bonus

Not all games contribute to the turnover of the bonus, so keep this in mind before you accept it. Of the games that do contribute, the percentage may vary. For instance, slots are often 100% across the board, while craps and other table games can be 0%. There is a bonus wagering chart available to view in the Help Center, but this information is also available in the relevant t’s and c’s. You can track the turnover of all bonuses when logged in to your account.

Sports Bonus at BetOnline

If the casino offer isn’t floating your boat, I would recommend sitting down and exploring some of the other promotions at BetOnline. I accessed these from the “Promos” button located at the top right of the screen.

I was happy to come across a 50% welcome bonus that you can claim up to $1,000 on your first-ever deposit. The rollover for this bonus is only 10x the deposit and bonus amount. This is a solid offer that is perfect for new players.

BetOnline’s 50% up to $1,000 offer is not available to those using Neteller or Skrill. I recommend checking your banking option is covered before you claim it. This can be done by reaching out to customer support.

BetOnline Sports Welcome Bonus

If you plan to use crypto, consider the 100% matched crypto offer of up to $1,000 on your first deposit. Terms and conditions differ from the other offers, with a 14x rollover. It is also important to know that you cannot use the crypto bonus funds on live betting, casino games, poker, or the racebook. So, these funds are only for traditional sports betting. This offer can only be claimed with Bitcoin and Ethereum. However, if you are using one of the smaller coins accepted by the site, it is a good idea to check if you are still eligible.

Poker Bonus and Other BetOnline Promotions

I was very happy to see even more promos offered to players. If you’re planning to play online poker at BetOnline, there is a special offer up for grabs for players making their first deposit on the site. You can claim a match bonus between $50 and $1,000 with promo code POKER1000.

Before putting together my BetOnline poker review, I noticed there was a crucial term to consider before you take this offer. The bonus is released in units of $5 and added to your playing account after every $50 staked. Your buy-ins for tournaments and the amount you wager in cash games both contribute to the stake amount, but at different rates. But that didn’t put me off considering it because this is similar to poker promotions on other poker sites.

I found more promotions and even some free-to-play contests to claim in my BetOnline casino review. These include the following.

  • Multiple $10,000 Free Sports Contests
  • $25 Free Play on First Live Bet
  • Risk-Free $25 on First Props Bets
  • 10% Weekly Casino Loss Rebate
  • Game of the Week Bonus
  • 20% Monthly Reload Bonus
  • Chance to Win Part of $1 Million in Monthly Prizes

Many of BetOnline’s promotions are geared at existing customers, too. Some can be claimed in conjunction with or after a main casino, sports, or poker promo has been taken. If unsure of what you are entitled to, you can find this information out by reviewing the appropriate terms and conditions of the offer. Some promotions also require you to contact customer support to claim them.

Banking

What are the Banking Options at BetOnline?

I found credit cards, debit cards, cryptocurrencies, and much more at BetOnline. Alongside Bitcoin and Ethereum, I could also both deposit and withdraw with the likes of Dogecoin and Litecoin.

One of the most enjoyable aspects of my review of BetOnline was looking over the choices available. If you’re not quite sold on cryptos, there are a few alternative deposit options to use. But some are more cost-efficient than others.

I was a tad bummed to find that, while all deposits are instant, not all are free. If I had used a credit, debit, or gift card to fund my online betting at BetOnline, I would have had to pay 9.25% for the privilege. Thankfully, I had planned to use crypto.

Cards are not available as a withdrawal method. Depending on what you choose, there could also be longer waiting times and fees for cashing out, too.

In the BetOnline help center, it states that some banking methods are available depending on location. For example, Interac can be used by Canadian players but not those based in the United States. For this reason, you should contact customer support if unsure of any potential restrictions.

I was conscious of choosing a fee-free deposit method that could also be used for withdrawals. And I wasn’t interested in the ones not eligible for bonuses. This narrowed things down a little, so I decided to choose an option that had no fees and fast withdrawal processing times. In the end, I settled for Ethereum.

Luckily for me, I had some ETH in my crypto wallet so moving it across was easy. All I needed to do was copy the QR code and send the payment. The process took around fifteen minutes and was in my account by the time I returned to my desk with a cup of coffee. Using ETH for deposits and withdrawals also meant I didn’t have to send my card details to verify my identity.

Some options come with fees and may even prevent you from claiming bonuses, like Skrill or Neteller. So it’s a good idea to take where you are playing from into account and how that could affect waiting times. Also, if you are opting to withdraw by check, make sure your bank accepts international checks.

BetOnline is regarded as one of the best crypto gambling sites out there for its range of coins and tokens. What’s more, using BTC, ETH, or other altcoins should entitle you to fee-free and speedy banking, better limits, and more attractive bonuses.

Casino

How Good is the Online Casino at BetOnline?

I counted under 500 games to play while conducting my review of BetOnline casino. These include everything from slots to video bingo games, as well as live roulette, blackjack, and specialty titles. You can access the full library of games by clicking on the “Casino” tab at the top of the page.

Once you are in the casino lobby, you will find nine different tabs to arrange titles according to favorites, table games, slots, video poker, specialty games, and more. There is also a search option that you can use to find specific titles. I made good use of both of these options when putting together my BetOnline review, and I appreciated how easy it was to navigate. However, I would have liked to see a few additional categories, including one for jackpot slots.

Slot Machines and Progressives

There are almost 400 slot machines on BetOnline, including plenty of progressive jackpots to try. That is much more than you’ll find at some competitor sites, like Ignition Casino. And it’s not just a numbers game: there are all kinds of variants to suit players of all backgrounds. For example, you can find leading video slots alongside classic 3-reel titles. One thing I loved is that they all fit together well.

My BetOnline online casino review became exciting when I got my hands on some of the site’s top slots. With major software developers like Betsoft and Rival Gaming providing many of them, I knew there was a good chance of logging off with a lasting impression.

One slot I was instantly sold on was Warhogs with 200,704 ways to win. There are wilds, free spins, re-triggers, and multipliers of up to 25x! I managed to land 10 free spins with a 3x multiplier fairly soon, bagging a tasty win of $119 in the process. This game was up here with the best I played in my review of BetOnline casino, for sure.

BetOnline Slots

I also tried my luck on some other top slots titles. I managed to win a little on Hills Sanatorium and Eagle Gold, both from Rival Gaming. There was more than a little time sampling the best of Betsoft’s games on the site, with Stampede and Golden Dragon Inferno getting some of my attention. Although I wasn’t as fortunate with these.

I did, however, manage to crack open a few free spins playing Medusa’s Millions. Not enough to take early retirement, but an ample bounty to keep me enjoying myself for a little while longer. This slot, by Arrow’s Edge, is a 5×3 video title that has three separate jackpots. Unfortunately, I didn’t win one this time.

All in all, I found the slots on BetOnline to be excellent quality. I had just about more wins than losses, which I was thankful for. The only real let-down for me was the time I lost looking for progressive games. There are plenty of jackpot games available, including Medusa’s Millions, but they are not categorized, so it isn’t easy to identify which games offer a progressive jackpot. To be honest, the site could do with categorizing slots of all kinds a little neater.

Table Games Selection at BetOnline

I enjoy playing digital rather than live dealer table games. Fortunately, I was pleased with what I found on BetOnline. There were 62 table titles comprised of blackjack, roulette, video poker, and baccarat games.

There are 23 blackjack titles, including single deck, multi-hand, and even Spanish blackjack. That’s essentially Spanish 21, but without the trademark. Betsoft, Rival, and a few other casino software providers are behind these games. I chose BetOnline blackjack first but enjoyed playing a few hands on some of the other variants, too.

When I was done sampling the blackjack offerings, I moved on to roulette. There are 16 variants under the BetOnline banner, which are decided by random number generator (RNG) software. My recommendation is to start with the European roulette title on the site, as it comes with limits ranging from $1 to $1,000.

BetOnline Table Games

I also played Platinum Chip roulette, which was fun, along with a few other roulette variants. One game I didn’t bother with was American roulette, as it doesn’t represent as good value as the European variant. This is not just with BetOnline, but in general. The house edge on American roulette (5.26%) is close to double that when playing European roulette (2.70%).

My review of BetOnline casino would not be complete without a mention of the casino poker titles on offer. I found 18 titles in total, which included some unique twists and exotic games. The kind you don’t tend to come across very often, like Andar Bahar and 3 Card Rummy. Here are some other games I thought were just great.

  • Three Card Poker
  • Tri Card Poker
  • Let It Ride
  • Texas Hold ‘em
  • 6 Up Pocket Poker
  • Bonus Texas Hold ’em
  • Caribbean Poker
  • Top Card Trumps
  • Pai Gow Poker
  • Caribbean Stud Poker
  • Multi-Hand Casino War

I loved playing these games and surprised myself by trying every one other than Let It Ride. As with the other table games, Rival, BetSoft, and DGS provide most of them. In addition to being great fun, I was keen to play games that required a level of skill.

Another thing that makes the online casino at BetOnline top-notch is the five different baccarat variants. Although I wasn’t as excited by these as the casino poker games, I appreciated the choice.

Video Poker

I was a tad nervous to see what the site had to offer in terms of video poker because so many sites neglect this category. Thankfully, there was no need to fret or dock any points from my BetOnline review. There are 37 different variants to sample, with both single-hand and multi-hand options available.

BetOnline Video Poker

Given the choices, I found it difficult to settle on one. But knowing that I can always come back and play whatever I couldn’t get to the first time around was comforting. I made sure to test a few of my favorites, such as Jacks or Better and Double Bonus.

I also had time to try Double Joker, which I played for low stakes. The graphics were good, and it felt as though I got through a lot of hands in a reasonable amount of time. This wouldn’t usually be my go-to, but it’s sometimes important to exercise your options. The good thing here is that I had ample opportunity to do just that.

Specialty Games

BetOnline specialty games

A good range of specialty titles doesn’t make a great casino, but it also doesn’t harm. BetOnline has more than enough to shake one’s stick at. Among the options I was surprised to come across were keno, scratchcards, and a new punt game!

I found the simplicity of these “scratchies” made them fun to play. I didn’t have to make any decisions, as I would have with keno. Nor did I have to endure the tension that comes with Triple Cash or Crash!

For what it’s worth, I loved playing Thundercrash at BetOnline. You can place multiple bets on the ascendancy of a rocket ship. The higher it goes, the larger the multiplier you can potentially earn. If you can time your exit before the rocket crashes, you get paid out at that multiplier. For example, a $1 bet with a 12x multiplier pays out at $12.

BetOnline Live Dealer Casino

Last but not least, I headed over to see if the live dealer suite was all that. I should point out that there are two separate live dealer functions, which are known as Red and Black. Red is operated by Visionary iGaming while Black is powered by Fresh Deck Studios.

Red has a greater selection of games including online blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and bingo. They even have live slots, Super 6, Teen Patti, and more. The table limits on the Red side are lower, which I found was better suited to my budget. You can play roulette with a minimum bet of just $1.

Black also comes with real dealers, excellent playability, and everything I look for when choosing new online live casinos to play at. The limits are higher, allowing you to play games like blackjack for as high as $20,000 a hand.

BetOnline Live Dealer

Before writing my review of BetOnline’s online casino options, I did some basic research. To my surprise, I found out about a 2017 scandal involving BetOnline based on an alleged change of hand in a live blackjack game. One that led to players losing a lot of money.

This immediately made me skeptical of playing at the site, until I learned how BetOnline reacted to this. In short, it wasn’t their doing, but that of a 3rd party software provider named Global Gaming Labs. When this happened, they dumped them in favor of Visionary iGaming and haven’t looked back. Both Visionary iGaming and Fresh Deck Studios have excellent reputations, especially in the US casino market. You can trust those providers and trust BetOnline to do the right thing to protect all of its customers.

Sports Betting

BetOnline Betting Site Review

I have seen BetOnline advertised several times while watching sports and always wondered how good they would be. Thanks to my BetOnline sportsbook review, I had the perfect opportunity to try it out for myself.

To say I was pleasantly surprised by the markets on offer would be an understatement. I found multiple odds available across several different sports, including favorites like football, baseball, ice hockey, and soccer. I was also impressed to find entertainment, lottery, politics, and even financials to bet on!

The sheer breadth of the odds took me by surprise. I could easily click on any of the sports to the left of the screen and access everything from money lines, totals, and even props for events like obscure tennis and soccer matches. The big bets were also there for the taking, and you could wager on the World Series and Super Bowl at BetOnline in advance.

I found futures for NBA games, as well as multiple game and player props. Depending on the time of year, you will be able to access several different prop builders to enhance your winnings. When I thought about the strength of the online casino at BetOnline, I wasn’t expecting the sportsbook to be anywhere close to this good. Here are some of the features that made this site stand out.

Betting Tips & Stats

Betting Odds on the BetOnline Sportsbook

I compared the odds at BetOnline to those found on MyBookie, Betway, and other safe online sites, and found them to be extremely competitive. Betting with a site that doesn’t have solid prices, regardless of its sports coverage, is not something I recommend doing,

Furthermore, I prefer sportsbooks that cater to more than just US games. If I want to look for value in some obscure sports that aren’t covered by most bookies, the chances are that I will come back to BetOnline to do that. Odds for rugby league matches, for example, are not always readily available across other sportsbooks, but BetOnline doesn’t disappoint.

BetOnline Sportsbook

Another aspect of this sportsbook I loved was the live betting function. You can place your wagers in real-time even when an event has started. There are more markets to get in on, as I found when wagering on Arsenal vs. West Ham in the EPL. With Arsenal two goals up in the first half, I opted to try my luck on West Ham closing the gap, and got some very favorable odds of +275 for them to draw the game. The live betting function is organized and easy to use, and if you time your wagers right, you can get some excellent odds.

What is the BetOnline Racebook?

One standout feature of the sports betting side of things is the dedicated horse racing section. I found daily odds and markets from around the world, with US, Irish, British, French, Swedish, and South African meets covered.

Finding this category was one of the true highlights of my BetOnline betting site review. If you’re keen on horse racing, I recommend checking this out for sure. In addition to the strength of the sportsbook, I can say that BetOnline is undoubtedly one of the top sports betting sites I have reviewed. Period.

Gambling on Esports at BetOnline

It’s not just physical sports events you can wager on at BetOnline. I was delighted to see a strong esports section packed with opportunities. I was met with some live-streamed action in games that included the following.

  • NBA2K
  • Counter-Strike
  • League of Legends
  • PUBG
  • DOTA 2
  • FIFA
  • Valorant
  • King of Glory
  • Rocket League

Although I wouldn’t usually think to bet on esports, my review of the BetOnline sportsbook led me to try things out. What I loved about this side of things was the chance to wager around the clock. After all, these esports games involve players from around the world. That means markets are available 24/7 depending on the head-to-heads and tournaments hosted.

You can find some exceptionally skilled players and teams participating in esports tournaments at BetOnline. That makes it even more exciting to bet on, in my opinion. You don’t even have to be a fan of video games to wager a few bets.

Poker

Online Poker at BetOnline – Tournaments and More

I remember reading a BetOnline poker review a few years back that dissuaded me from trying the site. That review suggested there were better options for online poker out there. This time, I jumped at the opportunity to get stuck in.

There are two ways to play poker at BetOnline. One, you can download desktop or mobile app software from the poker section of the site. Two, you can simply enter your username and password to access the poker rooms from your browser. Both options are available in button form.

The BetOnline poker room has a new look.

BetOnline is on the Chico Poker Network, which is approximately 13th in overall traffic and 3rd for US poker sites. When I wrote this BetOnline poker review, they had approximately 2,778 players on their site. Nearly 500 of those players were seated at cash games.

I had several options for playing online poker at BetOnline. I decided to sample a few different Texas hold ’em and Omaha games and tables, and there was ample opportunity to bet large if I wanted to.

  • Boost Poker
  • Windfall Poker
  • Six Plus Hold’em
  • No-Limit Six Plus Hold’em
  • No-Limit Hold’em
  • Pot Limit Omaha
  • Pot-Limit Omaha Hi/Lo
  • Pot-Limit Omaha 5

I really liked Boost Poker and Pot Limit Omaha poker. But all games worked as they should, with lively representation at tables. The graphics were smooth and aesthetically pleasing, with creative avatars and a ticker that tells you how many players and tables are active. You can also unlock prizes by completing BetOnline poker missions!

Most importantly, I experienced no lags or cutoffs when playing on desktop, mobile, and even on my partner’s iPad while making lunch. Although impressed enough to give a solid thumbs up in my BetOnline online poker review, it was the tournaments that impressed me most.

Review of the Poker Tournaments at BetOnline

I wanted to provide something of a mini-review of BetOnline poker tournaments that wouldn’t take too much time. In short, they are very good which means either the review I read years ago was wrong or they have really got their stuff together.

Poker is one of my passions, so I am highly critical of many sites. Although far from the greatest range I have ever witnessed, the tournaments are great. I tested my skills with players from several geographically dispersed regions and was impressed with how well the software worked.

Here are some tournaments I recommend checking out.

  • Progressive Bounties
  • Sunday Majors
  • Tourney Money Builders
  • Weekdays
  • Windfall Sit ’n Gos

There are guaranteed prizes up for grabs that surpass $100,000, with buy-ins very small at just over a dollar. You can play higher limits if you like, with multiple Texas hold ’em and Omaha variants accessible.

I recommend checking out the additional help and tutorials on the site. You can find hand rankings and features tabs under the BetOnline poker banner that will help you master some of the basics, too.

Mobile App

Review of the BetOnline Mobile App

I came across some conflicting BetOnline reviews that spoke about a native poker app but nothing for sports. This isn’t exactly true. Upon visiting Google Play and the App Store, I located apps for both that can be downloaded to phones and other mobile devices. The sports app is still in development, however, meaning I wasn’t able to test it out myself.

The poker app is very good, as mentioned earlier. It is available to download from the poker section on the BetOnline site. You can also download the software directly to Windows or iOS if you are playing from a desktop. I tried it on Samsung, iPhone, iPad, and my Windows PC.

BetOnline Mobile Gambling

In terms of functionality, I didn’t find much difference between using the mobile site vs. the app. The same can be said for playing on desktop vs. playing poker inside the app. It loads a little quicker on the mobile site, but that’s about it.

There is merit to using the app, with a few bonuses and rewards available to those that use it. There is also a poker odds calculator, but this can also be accessed when using a browser. I also found nothing to suggest that most bonuses and promotions were exclusive to app players. On the contrary, you can use both.

Although I rated the app highly, I don’t see much need in downloading software to play at BetOnline. Furthermore, apps for gambling aren’t typically as popular as they were because technology has advanced to a point where we simply don’t need them anymore. Still, it’s good to have the choice.

Customer Support

Contact Details for BetOnline Customer Support

I found multiple contact details for BetOnline customer support through Google. You can locate things even easier by clicking on the red “Need Help” button located at the bottom of the site. When you go that way, a pop-up extends with a live chat function as well as an email address and telephone number.

  • Live chat: Available 24/7
  • Phone: 1-888-426-3661 or 00 1 507-206-3369
  • Email: cs@BetOnline.ag

Additionally, you are given the option to resolve your own queries by visiting a dedicated help center. I have read customer reviews of BetOnline that have answered many of their own questions this way and I agree it is a very useful service indeed.

For example, I found another three email addresses in the help center. These include a separate support inbox as well as emails for players with specific poker and casino queries.

  • Customer Support Email 2: cssupport@BetOnline.ag
  • Poker Support: cspoker@BetOnline.ag
  • Casino Support: cscasino@BetOnline.ag

Although I can see the logic here, I wasn’t sold on the idea of so many ways to contact BetOnline customer support. There might be a chance of information getting lost by having so many different emails.

I tested them all, however, and was delighted when I received responses to four separate queries within 24 hours. One of the team, Marc, even recognized my name and account number from another email. He took over from Eugene and double-checked I was happy with everything.

Both telephone numbers I found before writing my review of BetOnline worked and are available in both English and Spanish. But it was live support that was my favorite way to contact the site. I found it the most convenient way to reach out with inquiries regarding promotions and banking queries.

I spoke to David on live chat. He was very helpful and answered my questions fully and promptly. David also invited me to get back in touch if anything else was unclear in the future. You may need to do this at some point. For example, if you cannot find a bonus code available for one-off or exclusive offers. It’s worth noting that the two other staff members I spoke to were also knowledgeable, quick, and responsive.

Comparison

How BetOnline Compares to Other Casinos and Sites

BetOnline is an all-in-one gambling site, which gives it an advantage over the majority of its competitors. You can play casino games, bet on sports, and participate in live poker here. The same cannot be said for most sites.

That doesn’t mean it’s better than other sites that have similar offerings. Bovada, for instance, also caters to players in the United States. It’s also regarded as having a top-class sportsbook as well as dynamic live poker tournaments. In terms of bonuses, BetOnline has more options, but Bovada has lower rollover requirements.

BetUS is another top online casino with a sportsbook, but it cannot boast a live poker suite like the other two. If there was a three-way showdown between BetOnline, Bovada, and BetUS, it would be difficult to choose a winner. All three sites have long-standing reputations as legit gambling sites for US players.

If it’s just the BetOnline casino you are interested in, Ignition Casino could give it a run for its money. It has slots from top developers like Rival Gaming and Genesis Gaming. Ignition Casino’s banking options are also quality offering over 10 different methods to choose from.

If you’re looking to sign up with sites like BetOnline, it’s always good to weigh up your options. You can do this by checking out our reviews of online casinos and gambling sites that may be just as good.

Conclusion

Is BetOnline a Good Online Gambling Site?

BetOnline is an excellent online casino with a sportsbook and poker site to match. The site has a mix of slots, casino games, sports odds, and poker titles that are among the best I have come across. Top bonuses and incredible customer support punctuate the site’s overall appeal.

In my review of BetOnline, I also reviewed the banking options available. This was probably the most disappointing bit. While the range of deposit methods is good, the 9.25% fees for card payments are not. More than this, they could look at adding more withdrawal options.

I believe safety and reputation are things that BetOnline also takes pride in. They have the latest security features, which include Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption. They are also big on ensuring players are aware of staying safe themselves, as evidenced by their commitment to 2FA user verification.

I was generally impressed with the range of slots, roulette, baccarat, and video poker titles I played when conducting my BetOnline review. The live dealer suites are also worth checking out.

Something that I think you’ll love is how easily you can bounce back and forth from live dealer to random number generator (RNG) games without losing a step. Even better, you can place a bet on a sports event and hop over to the poker tables just as easily.

As an all-in-one casino, sportsbook, and poker site, you would expect some flaws. But I must admit, I went through the site with a fine-tooth comb and couldn’t find anything that concerned me. Simply put, BetOnline is one of the best gambling sites online today.
