How’s their reputation? What do others think of them?

Funny thing – there’s not much about them around the web. Not as much as you’d think, at least, considering they’ve been online for 4+ years now.

Here’s what others say about them:

• Casinomeiser.com – In the Grey Zone (6.5/10). They’re in the Grey Zone since they’re solely licensed in Curacao, which according to CM means they’re basically unregulated. Other than that, CM isn’t a fan of their withdrawal limits.
• LatestCasinoBonuses.com – (2.4/5) The biggest complaints from LCB.com are the cash out limits based on player status. Cashouts are only processed from Monday to Friday, which is another complaint.
• AskGamblers.com – A Certified casino (8.07/10). There are 4 complaints here – 3 are resolved and 1 is rejected (in favor of the casino).

You could say their reputation is average-ish.

The regulation thing is a bit worrisome, but that’s the case at many casinos these guys recommend. If you want tight regulations and rules – something most people would agree is a good thing – then you should be playing at the Bet365s, 888s and Will Hills of the world. Not some random casino.

So, I’m not sure I feel the same way about that.

That said, I DO feel the same way about Play Fortuna’s cash out limits. I think they’re too restrictive, and I wouldn’t play here because of them.

But, it’s not as if Play Fortuna is hiding them. You know what you’re getting yourself into – assuming you read their terms and/or every word of this review – as you should be doing.

The bottom line – you know what you’re getting into BEFORE you sign up. I saw no danger outside of this in terms of scam/scandal accusations, so I think their reputation is fine.

I think that’s a pretty steep requirement, in terms of both the rollover and 10% commission. Both are much higher than you’d see at other casinos.

Do they offer a welcome bonus? What are the terms?

I think so.

I’m not 100% sure because their Bonuses link from their main navigation is broken – it goes to a 404 page. The only offers I was able to find was in their content slider at the top.

Here’s what I managed to find out:

I didn’t see any other offers, but I did email them to ask what else they may have. I haven’t heard back yet. I’ll update this if/when I do.

One thing that’s sort of promo-ish are their slot tournaments. It looks like these run for a week or so at a time. The winners share a 3,000,000-point prize pool.

What’s neat about these tournaments is that the games you can play change from tournament to tournament. It keeps the tournament from getting stale.

Do they have a comps and/or VIP program?

Their VIP program, or rather your player status, is largely, if not completely determined by the number of deposits you make in a 30-day period.

I think these are okay. It’d be better if they let you keep your status for a few weeks or an extra month. Because I can see how it could get a bit tiring and expensive to maintain the higher VIP levels each month.

They should at least let the higher tiers keep their statuses for 1-2 months at a time.

But there’s that. They do a points-for-cashback program, too.

However, as you move up you’ll earn cashback at a faster rate – somewhere between 5-20% depending on your status.

You can also get an improved exchange rate, depending on your status and the number of points you have.

It’s pretty cool you can basically cut the exchange rate in half with enough deposits and points. Though you have to spend a lot of money before you’ll have 1,000,000 points to turn in.

I wonder if anyone has actually managed to pull that off.

But that doesn’t mean they don’t have any licensed titles. They do – you just have to search for them. For example, here are a few licensed slot titles I found:

One type of slot I didn’t see much of – other than Hellboy – are slots revolving around comic book heroes. But that’s not as much a complaint as it is an observation.

Live Games

Most of the games here are the same, but with different dealers or table minimums.

What I liked about some of these is that they post the min/max limits. What I liked even more is that some of these games have min betting limits as low as $2, which isn’t much higher than your traditional online table game.

Table Games

There were almost 50 table games unavailable to me (using a VPN thru Canada). But even the list above and the games available that I DIDN’T include would be more than enough. So, they have a good selection of table games for sure.

Video Poker

There were a few other duplicate variants, as well as nearly 10 video poker games that were unavailable to players in Canada. Overall, they have more than 20 different video poker machines.

Lottery

The following list of games are from their lottery tab that’s within the row of other game tabs. This isn’t the main lottery link in their main navigation, which I was unable to access without an account.

Nothing to add here. This is just your standard list of scratch tickets and general games.

They have an excellent casino. Plenty of volume and variety – two things all casinos should have.

One thing to keep in mind while playing here is that there may be games unavailable to you due to where you’re playing from. This isn’t because of PlayFortuna.com, but instead the software provider and the rules they have to follow.

You’ll know when this is happening when a game has “This Game is Currently Unavailable in This Country” written over it and is unclickable.

That’s probably my biggest complaint, yet it’s no one’s fault, and there’s nothing anyone can do about it.

What do we think of PlayFortuna.com? Do we recommend them to our readers?

They seem like a solid casino. It’s funny I haven’t heard of them until now.

I wish they had more offers. But they do have a VIP program and comps-to-cashback incentive.

Other than that, my biggest complaint is how they tie their cash outs to your player level. You have to deposit so much money to be able to cash out a max of $30,000 per month.

That’s bogus. If you have $5,000 to spend per month gambling, there’s a good chance you can wager enough to hit a jackpot or big win here and there. In other words, it’s very possible with that bankroll to 6x it playing slots and table games.

My point — $30,000 is a bit restrictive. And I think it’s only worse for players on the bottom tiers.

I didn’t see anything about excluding VIPs or progressive jackpot winners from this rule, either. That’s a bummer.

Last thing – their 3x rollover on your deposit prior to cashing out or else you’ll get hit with a 10% penalty, is over the line. I’ve seen this rollover rule before, which I assume is to reduce deposits-to-immediate-cash outs, thus high processing costs.

But this is too much.

All that said, they have a solid casino and an okay reputation. Any negatives I mentioned are largely due to their crappy banking/cash out terms.

But if they don’t bother you, then I see no other reason not to check them out.
