Making friends as an adult isn’t always easy, but splitting a $1.15 million Las Vegas casino jackpot is a pretty good way to make one for life.

Two Baccarat Players Win $577K Each on the Same Hand

Two casino players in Las Vegas walked away with $577,462 each after winning a progressive baccarat jackpot during the same round. The unusual result happened early in the morning on October 30 at Palms Casino Resort, located off the Las Vegas Strip. That’s about $438,000 apiece in after-tax winnings, depending on individual circumstances and assuming the prizes qualified for the IRS’s 24% federal gambling withholding rate.

The two players shared a total prize of $1,154,924 after qualifying for the jackpot on the same hand. The winning combination featured six cards, all belonging to the suit of clubs.

The Banker hand contained three cards totaling seven points, while the Player hand finished with zero. That combination triggered the progressive jackpot, giving both players an equal share of the seven-figure payout.

Palms Casino Has Awarded Several Major Jackpots in 2026

The split jackpot nearly qualifies as one of the biggest baccarat wins ever and adds to a series of large wins at Palms Casino Resort this year. In May, a woman won $1,117,842 after placing a $5 progressive side bet while playing baccarat.

Earlier in February, another casino guest collected $609,346 through the Platinum Bonus Jackpot on IGT’s Whitney Houston slot machine. The jackpot was triggered on a $20 spin.

The property has also recorded an even larger slot jackpot in recent years. In July 2024, an out-of-state visitor won $2.1 million playing Wheel of Fortune after placing a $3 bet. The payout is the largest publicly reported jackpot at Palms Casino Resort.
