Islam Makhachev (c) and Mackenzie Dern (c) are both favored by UFC betting sites to retain their titles this weekend in Philadelphia. Makhachev (c) is a -345 favorite against Ian Machado Garry (+275). Meanwhile, Dern is listed at -218 to beat Gillian Robertson (+183).
Makhachev has a 77.53% implied win probability, and Dern is not far behind at 68.55%.
The rest of the main card and the prelims are packed with exciting fights, too. The night opens with Jeremiah Wells vs. Myktybek Orolbai at Welterweight. Orolbai is the biggest favorite of the night at -900, and a win could propel him into the top 15 at 170 pounds.

UFC 330 Main and Co-Main Event Preview
Mackenzie Dern won the UFC Women’s Strawweight belt at UFC 321, beating Virna Jandiroba by unanimous decision to claim the vacant title. After nearly a year off, Dern will finally have a chance to defend her belt against Gillian Robertson.
Dern is the -218 favorite, but Robertson is riding a five-fight win streak into Saturday’s co-main event.
Both Dern and Robertson are submission specialists. Robertson has nine submission wins in her career, while the champion Dern has eight. Dern has also never been submitted, while Robertson has tapped once.
On the other hand, Robertson has three KO wins on her resume, and Dern has zero.
After the Strawweight belt is decided, Islam Makhachev and Ian Machado Garry will square off for Welterweight Gold. Makhachev was the Lightweight champion but dropped the belt to move up to 170 pounds and challenge Jack Della Maddalena for the belt at UFC 322.
This will be Makhachev’s first title defense since winning the belt.
Machado Garry is also coming off a long layoff, fighting for the first time since beating Belal Muhammad at a UFC Fight Night in November 2025. His only career loss came via decision, and Machado Garry has never been finished.
Makhachev is the betting favorite, but he will be at a major size disadvantage. The 5’10 champion gives up a four-inch reach advantage to the 6’3 Machado Garry. On the other hand, Machado Garry has struggled with grapplers before, most recently in his loss to Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310.
Best Bets for UFC 330
The undefeated Donte Johnson puts his 8-0 record on the line against the struggling Eric McConico. Both fighters are relatively new to the UFC, but McConico has struggled with the jump to the Octagon, going 2-2 in the promotion.
Johnson is a -235 favorite over McConico on Saturday.
The key to Johnson’s success so far has been his striking. He has seven finishes in his short career so far, including six KOs. Johnson should have another chance to show off his striking against McConico, who has been knocked out in all four of his career losses.
Another favorite to bet on this weekend is Esteban Ribovics. Ribovics is listed as a -550 favorite over Edson Barboza (+420) on Saturday.
Barboza is a legend of the UFC, but he is well past his prime. He is on a three-fight skid and has lost five of his last seven fights. That is unlikely to change against an up-and-comer like Ribovics.
Ribovics is 4-3 in the UFC, but he is 15-3 overall in his career. He has seven KOs and five submission wins as a professional so far. If he can beat Barboza, especially if he finishes him, then Ribovics should move closer to earning a top-15 ranking in an ultra-competitive 155-pound division.
Top UFC 330 Upset Picks
Kauê Fernandes brings a three-fight winning streak into his matchup this weekend, but he is a +137 underdog against Jalin Turner (-162). Turner is the betting favorite despite having lost four of his last six fights in the UFC.
Both fighters are skilled strikers, with Fernandes sporting a 6-0 record in fights decided by KO and Turner an even more impressive 11-4.
This will be a big test for Fernandes, but Turner’s recent struggles open the door for an upset. Fernandes is smaller, standing 5’9 to Turner’s 6’3, but if he can overcome the size difference, he will improve to 4-1 in the UFC with a win over The Tarantula.
Another underdog I think can pull off the upset this weekend in Philly is Chidi Njokuani. Bang Bang is a +220 underdog against Joel Alvarez (-280) in the prelim main event. Alvarez is a late substitute for Geoff Neal, who withdrew due to injury.
Both fighters are listed at 6’3 and are coming off a loss. Njokuani has lost back-to-back fights, but his three-inch reach advantage over Alvarez could be the key to him pulling off the upset and righting the ship on Saturday.
Bang Bang is 15-5 in fights that end in a knockout. If he can keep the fight standing, he has a great shot at knocking out Alvarez. Staying off the mat will be critical, as Njokuani is 1-4 in fights decided by submission, and Alvarez has 17 submission wins in his career.
Full UFC 330 Fight Card Predictions
Vicente Luque is a +104 underdog against Tresean Gore this weekend. Luque has struggled lately, but he had success against Kelvin Gastelum after moving up to 185 pounds. That success will continue against Gore, who is just 3-4 in the UFC.
Dern proved she was the best that was left in a depleted 115-pound division last October, but I think Robertson (+183) gets the win this week. It should be a grapple fest against in the co-main event, as both fighters favor submissions. Robertson has three KO wins in her career, which could give her the edge and help her pull off the upset this weekend.
Speaking of grapplers, Makhachev (-345) is the best bet in the main event. His grappling skills helped him dominate the 155-pound division and will lead him to a successful title defense against Garry Machado at 170 pounds on Saturday.
UFC 330 Betting Tips & Strategy
Here are two betting and strategy tips to consider before wagering on UFC 330.
Winning on Short Notice is Hard to Do
Fight camps are important for developing strategy and getting in shape. Fighters competing on short notice, such as Joel Alvarez, are at an inherent disadvantage due to a shortened camp.
Don't Be Distracted By the Name
UFC 329 once again confirmed the risk of betting on a fighter just because they have a big name, as many lost money wagering on Conor McGregor. Edson Barboza presents a similar risk this weekend as the MMA legend tries to end a three-fight losing streak.
