Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Cam Skattebo, and the Cleveland Browns all made my list of the best NFL prop bets in Week 6. With four teams on byes, your options for player props have narrowed slightly to 14 games, instead of the traditional 16.

Keep reading to see my eight best NFL player and game props for Week 6. I break down my favorite props of the week, analyzing the odds and likely outcomes for each bet.

Best TNF Prop Bet: Jaxon Smith-Njigba 90+ Receiving Yards (-135)

Lucky Rebel has Jaxon Smith-Njigba projected for a big day in a short week against an injury-riddled Broncos secondary. Denver’s pass defense ranks ninth in the NFL, allowing 202.2 passing yards per game.

However, the Broncos could be missing three key starters in their secondary:

Icon of football
  • Patrick Surtain II (ankle)
  • Riley Moss (ribs)
  • Talanoa Hufanga (ankle)

Moss returned to practice this week, but PS2 and Hufanga are long shots to play on a short week.

JSN is challenging to contain with a healthy secondary. Smith-Njigba leads the NFL with 583 receiving yards and seven receiving touchdowns.

Oddsmakers have JSN listed at -135 odds to have 90+ receiving yards on Thursday. He is averaging 116.6 YPG. JSN should easily hit 90 receiving yards against a talented but depleted Broncos defense.

Top NFL Player Props for Week 6

Here are three more player props to target at the top NFL betting sites for Week 6.

Bryce Young Over 1.5 Passing TDs (+145)

Bryce Young and the Panthers had a bye in Week 5, giving them extra time to prepare for their Week 6 showdown with the Eagles. Philadelphia, on the other hand, had to play in London last weekend.

The extra time off gave players like WR Jalen Coker (quad) time to recover, so Young should have a full complement of weapons against Philly. He is listed at +145 odds to have over 1.5 passing TDs on Sunday.

Philadelphia has allowed 238.8 passing YPG, the seventh-most in the NFL. Young currently leads the NFL with 317 passing YPG and had nine passing TDs in the first four games of the season. A healthy Coker will help Young continue his hot start and cover the over on this passing TDs prop.

Cam Skattebo Over 74.5 Scrimmage Yards (-117)

Cam Skattebo is available at over/under 74.5 combined rushing and receiving yards, and I think he will cover the over. Skattebo and the Giants host the Saints on Sunday.

In Week 1, Skattebo had 81 rushing yards against the Cowboys. However, in the four games since, the most he has had on the ground was 60. On the bright side, Skattebo has seen more work as a receiver, catching 10 of his 12 targets over the last four games.

Skattebo is averaging 74.6 scrimmage YPG this season, so an average game should be enough to put this player prop in play. New Orleans has been bad against the run, allowing 148.8 rushing YPG (3rd most). The Saints’ bad run defense increases the chances of Skattebo having a productive day on the ground.

Kenneth Walker III Over 86.5 Rushing Yards (-113)

Kenneth Walker III is listed at -113 odds to have over 86.5 rushing yards this week against the Chargers. Walker and the Chiefs had a bye last week, so KW3 should have fresh legs for this divisional matchup.

The Chargers have allowed 118.6 rushing YPG but running backs have only averaged 3.89 yards per carry. It is a tough matchup, but KW3 is still a great bet to top 86.5 rushing yards.

Walker had one of the best starts of any RB this season. He had 70+ rushing yards in every game, including 117+ in three of his first four starts. Injuries to KC’s wide receivers, including Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Tyquan Thornton (ankle), will force the Chiefs to rely heavily on Walker again this week.

Best Week 6 NFL Game Prop Bets

Game props are another great way to spice up your NFL betting slip. Here are my top four game props in Week 6.

Texans vs. Jaguars: Both Teams Score 17+ (-110)

Houston and Jacksonville play their first of two divisional matchups, and it will take place in London. Lucky Rebel has the odds of both teams scoring 17+ points listed at -110.

Jacksonville and Houston have both scored 17+ in five of their last six matchups.

The Texans’ defense is a far cry from what it was last year. They have allowed 22.4 PPG this season, compared to just 17.4 PPG last year. Jacksonville, conversely, has allowed only 14.0 PPG, down from 19.8 PPG a year ago.

On the bright side, both offenses are averaging 22.0+ PPG this season. They are also two of the most penalized teams in the NFL, which should help keep drives alive and increase scoring opportunities.

Cleveland Browns +7.5 (-170)

Cleveland is a 5.5-point home underdog against Baltimore in the latest NFL Week 6 odds. You can gain two points and cover a full touchdown by betting on the Browns +7.5 (-170).

The Ravens could get QB Lamar Jackson back from an ankle injury this weekend. Even if Jackson does return, though, this game should be close. Since 2020, seven of the last 12 matchups between the Ravens and the Browns have been decided by one score.

Cleveland has won four of the last 10 matchups, including three of the last five matchups at Huntington Bank Field. If Lamar is out or limited due to his ankle injury, the Browns should keep this game within one score on Sunday.

Chicago Bears Over 13.5 Points in the 1st Half (-113)

Chicago lost in blowout fashion in Week 5, but they went 2-1 without starting QB Caleb Williams. Williams is expected to return this week and face the Falcons. Atlanta could be without its starting QB after Michael Penix Jr. hurt his ribs in the team’s Week 5 loss.

The Bears are 3.0-point favorites and are listed at over/under 26.5 points for the game. I expect the Bears to look to start quickly after last week’s embarrassing loss, and I like Chicago to score over 13.5 points (-113) in the first half.

Atlanta has allowed 24.4 PPG this season and has held just one team under 20 points.

Their offense is likely to struggle without a fully healthy Penix, giving the Bears more possessions and chances to score. Pittsburgh and Carolina outscored Atlanta 54-16 in the first two weeks when Penix was out. With that in mind, I think the Bears can score at least 14 points in the first half on Sunday.

Dallas Cowboys +3.5 (-180)

Dallas is a 1.5-point underdog against the Packers in Lambeau this Sunday. A spread that small is hard to cover without winning the game. However, you can get the Cowboys at +3.5 in exchange for -180 odds.

The Cowboys’ defense has been terrible again this season, allowing 395.4 YPG (2nd most) and 27.2 PPG (8th most). As bad as their defense is, the Cowboys’ offense usually keeps them in games.

Both teams have productive passing offenses, ranking in the top five in passing yards per game. It is hard to trust Dallas’s defense, but this alternative spread wager gives you more protection than the standard line.

Here are two trends and tips to consider for Week 6.

Look for Rest Disparities

Identifying rest disparities is a great way to find upsets in the NFL. Carolina, for instance, had extra rest because of their bye. They play Philadelphia, who had less rest than normal after playing in London in Week 5.

Watch for Desperate Coaches

No coach has been fired this season. However, underperforming coaches are likely in the hot seat and can make changes to their coaching, play calling, and game plans as a result. Texans coach DeMeco Ryans, for example, took over defensive play calling after the team’s 0-4 start and helped Houston win its first game of the year last week.
