Georgia may not be among the luckiest states in America, but try telling that to a recent Las Vegas jackpot winner from Atlanta.

Atlanta Visitor Hits Eight-Figure Slot Prize

The Atlanta visitor on June 16 won $10,292,912.32 at Westgate Las Vegas after placing a $5 wager on an IGT Megabucks slot machine. The casino said the player, who chose to remain anonymous, hit the grand prize on one of the wolf slot Wolf Run Eclipse, after only three minutes of play.

The guest, believed to be a man in his mid-20s, celebrated on the casino floor with other visitors and employees after the jackpot hit. No details were released about what the winner plans to do with the prize money.

Largest Jackpots in Vegas History

Despite $10 million being a significant life-changing prize, it’s far from the largest jackpot slots prize a Nevada casino has awarded. In March 2003, a 25-year-old software engineer won a record $39.7 million at the Excalibur Hotel & Casino. Another lucky player, three years prior, won $34.9 million at the Desert Inn.
