#4 Ohio State is a -180 road favorite over #5 Indiana in their top-5 Big Ten showdown this weekend. The defending national champion Hoosiers are getting 3.5 points as home underdogs against their conference rivals.
The biggest favorites of the weekend are #3 Miami (-21.5) and #1 Georgia (-21.0). Both schools are laying three scores against unranked conference opponents this week.
At -1800, the Hurricanes have the highest implied win probability of Week 7 at 94.74%.
Three AP Top 25 teams are not in action this week:
- #17 Iowa
- #19 USC

Best Week 7 College Football Picks
Here are my top college football Week 7 predictions to target at the best football betting sites.
Straight Up/ML Picks
Alabama lost in Week 6, but the Crimson Tide remained the #6 team in the nation and is a -320 favorite to beat #13 Tennessee on Saturday. The key to victory for Alabama this week will be stopping the Vols’ rushing attack, which averages 228.3 yards per game. Alabama has given up fewer than 100 rushing YPG, so the Tide are well-positioned to derail Tennessee’s running game and pick up a road win.
#9 Ole Miss is another favorite I am backing this week as the Rebels (-225) host #13 Mizzou. The Tigers have one of the best running defenses in the country, giving up 78.3 YPG, but the Rebels are a passing team. Ole Miss also had a bye week to prepare for this ranked SEC matchup.
#8 BYU finally gets its shot at #2 Notre Dame (-440), but the Cougars are underdogs at home. The Fighting Irish have a top-three run defense, which could take away one of BYU’s best weapons: QB Bear Bachmeier’s rushing ability. Bachmeier will struggle to keep BYU’s offense on schedule if he cannot move the chains with his legs.
Best ATS Picks
Florida is getting 11.0 points as a home underdog against Texas, which dropped from #1 to #7 after its loss to an unranked Oklahoma team last week. The Gators average over 200 rushing yards and 41.7 points per game. Texas is only averaging 31.7 PPG and is unlikely to cover the large spread if it cannot stop the Gators’ rushing attack.
#16 Mississippi State is a +14.5-point underdog against #22 LSU in Baton Rouge on Saturday. The Tigers have lost two of their last four games, both on the road. LSU will be better at home, but the Bulldogs’ offense, averaging 487 yards and 39.0 points per game, will keep the game within two scores.
#3 Miami is the top-scoring team in the country, averaging 49.6 PPG, and allows the fewest points, just 9.8 PPG. The Hurricanes are favored by 21.5 points against the visiting Florida State Seminoles. Florida State allows more than 400 total YPG to opposing teams and has given up 44+ points twice this season.
Top CFB Upset Picks
#5 Indiana pulled off a major comeback over Nebraska last week, but the Hoosiers are +155 home underdogs this week against #4 Ohio State. WR Jeremiah Smith racked up 144 receiving yards against Indiana last year, but Ohio State only scored 10 points. A bend-but-don’t-break approach could be the key for Indiana to pull off the upset and beat Ohio State again.
Virginia is a +270 underdog against #24 SMU on Saturday. The Cavaliers’ running game, which averages 162.8 YPG, will be their best tool against the Mustangs. SMU allows over 140 rushing YPG, which should allow Virginia to control the clock by running the ball early and often.
#15 Kentucky is coming off a massive win over LSU but is a +195 road underdog this week against Oklahoma. The Sooners won Red River last week but remain unranked due to offensive issues this season. I trust the Wildcats’ rushing game (181.8 YPG) more than anything Oklahoma has to offer, so I am picking Kentucky to pull off the upset this week.
Top Week 7 College Football Prop Bets
The best college football betting sites have Gunner Stockton listed at -145 odds to have over 1.5 passing TDs in Week 7. Stockton and the top-ranked Bulldogs host an unranked Auburn team that has lost two of its last three. The Georgia QB has 14 passing TDs this season, averaging over two a game, and will get at least two more on Saturday.
I also like Reed Harris’s odds at +125 to score a TD this week. Harris and the Arizona State Sun Devils take on #10 Texas Tech. TTU gives up 262.2 passing YPG, the 12th-most in the country, and Reed has seven receiving TDs in five games so far this season.
#18 Oklahoma State takes on #20 Houston this weekend. The Cowboys need a big game from RB Caleb Hawkins if they want to pull off the upset. However, Houston’s defense is allowing just 74 rushing YPG, the fourth-fewest in the country, and will hold Hawkins under 92.5 yards (-115) this weekend.
Betting on College Football in Week 7
#3 Miami (-21.5) and #1 Georgia (-21.0) led the pack as the biggest favorites in this week’s college football picks. My top bet of the week is for #2 Notre Dame (-440) to beat #8 BYU in Provo.
