Week 17 starts with a tripleheader on Christmas, featuring three divisional games. Dallas (-7.0) and Washington square off for bragging rights, while the Lions (-6.5) look to keep their slim playoff chances alive in Minnesota. Then, in prime time, the Broncos are laying two touchdowns against the Chiefs in Arrowhead.
Saturday’s doubleheader kicks off with a potential playoff preview between the Texans and the Chargers. Los Angeles is a 2.5-point favorite at home against the team that ended their season last year.
Sunday’s slate is full of huge matchups, too, but none are bigger than Eagles vs. Bills. Buffalo is a 2.0-point favorite at home in what could be a preview of Super Bowl 60.

Week 17 TNF Best Bet: Dallas Cowboys -9.5 (+119)
The 2025 NFL Christmas Day games open with an NFC East battle between the Cowboys and the Commanders. Washington has lost nine of its last 10 games and could be starting a third-string QB on a short week.
Dallas is a 7.0-point favorite, but they should be able to win this game by double-digits. The Cowboys beat the Commanders 44-22 in Week 7.
Dak Prescott and company are not nearly as productive on the road. However, the Commanders are not as good as they were nine weeks ago, either. They have allowed over 29 PPG over their last eight games and are just 1-7 in that stretch.
Dallas’s defense has had its issues keeping teams out of the endzone, too. The good news for Cowboys fans is that Washington’s offense will not be firing on all cylinders.
If backup Marcus Mariota cannot suit up, then the Commanders will struggle to keep the score within single digits with Josh Johnson under center.

Week 17 NFL Picks
The top NFL betting sites have great odds for the best games this weekend, too.
Best Week 17 NFL ML Picks (Straight Up)
The Saints look for their fourth straight win as they take on the Titans in Tennessee. New Orleans is favored at -155 odds against the 3-12 Titans, who just won their first home game of the season. Tennessee’s offense will struggle against a Saints’ defense that has held four of its last six opponents to 20 or fewer points.
Jacksonville is a -300 road favorite against the Colts this week. Indianapolis has lost six of its last seven games and is riding a five-game losing streak. The Jags beat Indy 36-19 in Week 14, and will secure the season sweep this week, officially eliminating the Colts from the postseason.
In the final MNF of the regular season, the Rams take on the Falcons in Atlanta. LA is a -410 favorite over a 6-9 Falcons team that has won back-to-back games. Three of the Rams’ four losses this year have been on the road, but their high-scoring offense will deliver a much-needed win over the Falcons this week.
Week 17 NFL Picks ATS
Cleveland covered in Week 16 as a massive home dog against Buffalo. The Browns are dogs again this week, getting 3.5 points against the visiting Steelers. Pittsburgh will be without DK Metcalf, who is suspended, and its offense will struggle to cover the 3.5 points against a stout Cleveland defense.
Carolina took the lead in the NFC South with its upset win over the Buccaneers last week. The Panthers are home underdogs this week, too, getting 7.0 points against the Seahawks. Carolina is 5-2 at home this year, and their strong rushing attack will help them cover the spread at home on Sunday.
Chicago’s unforgettable comeback over Green Bay helped the Bears take over first place in the NFC North. The Bears face another tough test this week in San Francisco. Chicago is a 3.5-point underdog but should keep this game within a field goal against a 49ers team that has struggled to produce sacks and turnovers this year.
Best Week 17 NFL Upset Picks
Houston’s defense dismantled the Chargers’ offense in their playoff matchup last season. The Texans’ defense is arguably even better this season, and LA is dealing with multiple injuries along its offensive line. As they have done all year, the Texans (+114) will lean on their defense to secure an upset win this week.
Miami is a 2-1 home underdog against Tampa Bay this weekend. Quinn Ewers played as well as could be expected in his first start last week. A weak Buccaneers’ defense should provide more chances for Ewer to shine and secure his first career win in the NFL.
Philadelphia is a +107 road underdog in this weekend’s marquee matchup against the Bills in Buffalo. The Eagles’ running game will be the key to their chances of upsetting Buffalo this week. If Saquon Barkley can find room against a Bills defense that allows 144.3 rushing YPG, the third-most, then the Eagles can get the road upset.
NFL Week 17 Predictions
The Bengals are out of the playoffs, but they have two winnable games to end their season. Cincinnati is a -345 favorite over the visiting Cardinals this week. Both offenses can rack up yards, and neither defense can stop anyone, so this should be a shootout that the Bengals ultimately win.
New England is a massive favorite this weekend against the Jets. The Pats are -950 favorites and laying 13.5 points. New England will win and cover against the Brady Cook-led Jets, clinching the AFC East title.
The Giants are +107 underdogs against the Raiders this weekend. Both teams are riding nine-game losing streaks, and the loser of this game likely secures the top pick in the 2026 Draft. Both teams have shown signs of life lately, but I think the G-Men will come out on top this week, securing their first road win of the year.
