Good Girl Bad Girl Slot Machine

Betsoft released Good Girl Bad Girl in January 2014. This is an online slot game that features double Progressive Jackpots. The game is a fully animated 3-D production with two characters thatinteract with each other and occasionally participate in game play, depending on what you choose to do or what bonus round you win.

Betsoft programmed the game with two sets of ambient sounds and two soundtracks. The game also uses a unique mode option where you choose how the pay lines work, although it costs you more to usepay lines that work in both directions.

The girls are dressed in skimpy outfits. The Good Girl’s outfit is slightly more modest than the Bad Girl’s outfit. The Good Girl is an angel from Heaven and the Bad Girl is a demon from Hell. Both characters float in the air, bobbing up and down. When you spin the reels one or both of the girls will turn and watch the action unfold.

Rules for the Good Girl Bad Girl Slots Game

The Good Girl Bad Girl game is a 5 reel, 3 row 3-D video slot game using 15 pay lines. This is a multi-mode game that allows you to choose how the pay lines work. If you select the Good side thenall prizes are paid from left to right. If you select the Bad side then all prizes are paid from right to left. You can also select Dual Mode, which costs twice as much to play as either of theother two modes, but all prizes pay either left to right or right to left.

Good Mode offers more frequent payouts but the prize amounts tend to be smaller. Bad Mode offers less frequent payouts but the prize amounts tend to be larger. You win only one prize per payline, whichever is higher, if you spin up two prizes on the same pay line.

There are two Wild symbols, one for each mode (Good and Bad).

The Bad Wild is a Pitch Fork raised up against a dark, Hellish sky. The Bad Wild only occurs on reels 3, 4, and 5 and it may show up with a multiplier ranging from X1 to X4. The Bad Wild pays1000 times Bet Per Line for five of a kind, 150 times Bet Per Line for four of a kind, and 30 times Bet Per Line for three of a kind. The Wild symbols count as five Pitch Forks if there are threeBad Wilds and two Good Wilds.

The Good Wild is a Halo floating above the grass in a beautiful Heavenly field on a bright day. The Good Wild only appears on reels 1, 2, and 3 and it may show up with a multiplier of X1 or X2.The Good Wild pays 500 times Bet Per Line for five of a kind, 150 times Bet Per Line for four of a kind, and 30 times Bet Per Line for three of a kind. The Wild symbols count as five Halos ifthere are three Good Wilds and two Bad Wilds.

Multipliers are combined when two or more Wild symbols contribute to a winning combination, so two X1 multipliers result in your prize being multiplied by 2.

When the Halo and Pitch Fork appear side by side they trigger a special bonus game. See below for details.

The Money Wheel Bonus symbol is the game’s Scatter. These symbols only appear on reels 1, 3, and 5 and when three of them spin up regardless of the mode you are in they trigger a bonus game. Seebelow for details.

How to Play Good Girl Bad Girl

There are game controls both above and below the playing reels area. The top controls do not affect game play.

The blue “Options” button in the upper left hand corner of the screen activates a dialog screen where you can adjust sounds, playing speed, graphic quality, and use of the in-game tip tool.

The red “View Pays” button in the upper right hand corner of the screen activates the pay tables help screen system. There are three screens and you navigate through them using the arrow buttonsat the bottom. Click on the “Return to Game” button when you finish looking at the pay tables.

There are 15 numbered knobs on each side of the playing reels area. Each set of knobs are anchor points for the pay lines that highlight the prizes you won. These knobs have no other function.

An information marquee directly below the playing reels area displays your Balance in cash and your balance in Credits on the left side. After each spin the right side of the marquee cyclesthrough all the pay line prizes you won. If you won no prizes on the previous spin the right side of the marquee displays random tips and messages.

The remaining game controls are positioned in a row across the bottom of the screen. They use the blue and red color scheme associated with the Good and Bad sides but they affect all game playregardless of what mode you are using.

  • The Choose Coin Widget displays the current coin value in denominations of 0.02, 0.05, 0.10, 0.25, and 0.50. Use the Minus and Plus buttons to adjust this value up or down.
  • The Select Lines Widget displays the current number of active pay lines. Use the Minus and Plus buttons to adjust the number of active pay lines. Choices are: 1, 3, 5. 7, 9,11, 13, and 15.
  • The Bet Per Line Widget displays the current number of coins you bet per active pay line on each spin. Use the Minus and Plus buttons to adjust this value. Choices are: 1, 2,3, 4, and 5.
  • The Total Bet Widget displays how much each spin costs you in terms of credits. This is calculated as Active Pay Lines times Bet Per Line times Active Modes (1 or 2).
  • The Mode Widget has three buttons: the Blue Heart activates Good Mode, the Red Spade and Blue Heart activate Dual Mode, and the Red Spade activates Bad Mode. The active modelights up and the two inactive modes go dark.

The remaining controls are on the Bad side of the screen and so use the red motif but as noted above they affect game play regardless of which mode is active.

  • The Total Win Widget displays the sum of all prizes from the last spin or bonus game.
  • The Bet Max Button sets the number of Pay Lines to 15 and the Bet Per Line to 5 and then spins the reels. This button has no effect on which mode is active.
  • The Spin Button initiates one paid spin of the reels. It becomes a Stop button in case you want to interrupt the animation of the spinning reels. Using the Stop button has noeffect on the outcome of a game.
  • The Double Up Button becomes active after any paid spin awards a prize. Click on this button to initiate the extra game. See below for details.
  • The Autoplay Button activates a dialog where you set the number of active pay lines, the coin value, the bet per line, and the game mode and then you choose how many spins thegame will play for you from the following values: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, and 100. You can click on the red “Cancel” button to abort this feature or the green “OK” button to start it.

The auto spins continue until you exit the game, or you interrupt the auto spin feature, or you win a bonus game, or the number of pre-selected spins complete, or your available balance dropsbelow the Total Bet amount you set for the auto spins. You cannot use the Double Up feature while auto spins are in play.

How the Double Up Game Works

After any spin where you win a prize the Double Up button becomes active. When you click on this game the Good Girl and Bad Girl fly forward as the screen changes to a cloudy background. Theclouds on the left are bright and cheerful and the clouds on the right are dark and gloomy.

A gold coin is positioned between the girls and they focus their attention on it intently.

A small dialog box at the bottom of the screen prompts you to choose the Good side or the Bad side, explaining how many credits you will win if you guess right.

Click on either Good or Bad to make your choice and initiate the coin toss. You can also just click on “Collect” to exit the feature.

When you click a girl’s button she flips the coin for you. The girls both react the same way regardless of which choice you made. If the coin turns up “Good” the Good Girl smiles and spins aroundbut the Bad girl angrily cries out “NO!”  If the coin turns up “Bad” the Good Girl hangs her head in dejection and the Bad Girl cries out “YES!”

You can play the feature up to five times but it ends either when you lose your credits or the fifth toss is completed.

How the Click Me Bonus Game Works

This bonus round is triggered whenever a Halo and Pitch Fork appear side by side. If you are playing in Dual Mode you are prompted to choose one of the girls. The Good Girl game uses white giftboxes. The Bad Girl game uses red gift boxes.

In both games you play up to four rounds where in each round you are presented with four gift boxes. One gift box is highlighted (it is the “glowing” gift box). The object of both games is tocollect as many prizes as you can before you open a box with a “Collect”. The game ends when you “Collect” your prizes.

Both games place Small, Medium, and Big wins inside three of the gift boxes. One or more boxes  contain a “Collect” which may or may not be paired with a prize.

  • In the Good Girl game the glowing gift box always contains a Small or Medium win. The Big win and Collect are in one of the non-glowing gift boxes.
  • In the Bad Girl game the glowing gift box always contains a Big Win or Collect. The non-glowing boxes always contain a Medium or Small win.

How the Money Wheel Bonus Game Works

When three Money Wheel Bonus symbols appear on reels 1, 3, and 5 you are taken to a screen where you choose which version of the game to play if you are in Dual Mode. Otherwise, you are justtaken to the version of the game that matches your mode.

The Good Girl or Bad Girl is your hostess. She presents the Money Wheel to you. You spin the wheel for a chance to win prizes such as free spins, instant credits, or a Progressive Jackpot. Youcan only win the Progressive Jackpot if you are playing Max Bet.

The Free Spins pay according to the mode you choose. Good mode pays from left to right and Bad mode pays from right to left. There is no Dual mode for free spins. You cannot use the Double Upfeature during free spin games.

There is a “0” value on the wheels. You could win no prize at all.

Conclusion

This is a fun game to play if only because you never know what the two avatars will do. The girls are competitive and they celebrate the wins that come from their sides with gusto whileoccasionally playing tricks on each other. They both give you encouragement in their own ways but the Bad Girl is as likely to laugh at your misfortunes as celebrate your wins.

The ambient sounds are a little spooky. If you listen closely you can hear Heavenly choirs singing in the background but the screams of the lost souls in Hell drown out the choir.

Each side has its own soundtrack but the songs are composed so they sound like a single composition in Dual mode (or else the Dual mode soundtrack uses riffs from both songs).

The in-tile animations are pretty cool. The “K” flips on the stones. The Good Kitty meows and stands up in a praying position. The “A” spins around in the air, and so on.

And Good Girl Bad Girl is popular with players because of the range of options. You can play “safe” on the Good Girl side, winning more prizes even if they are low value, or you can take on morerisk with the Bad Girl side, where the prizes pay better.

Of course, the riskiest way to play the game is in Dual Mode, at Max Bet, and trying the Double Up feature after every win. You could win a lot of money but most likely you’ll lost most of it.

The animations are among the best in the industry. The game is well worth spending some time (and money!) on if only for the experience of seeing what a truly imaginative slot game is like.
