Darnold’s Super Bowl MVP odds shortened from +250 to +130 after Seattle knocked off Los Angeles in the NFC title game. Maye’s odds also improved, going from +275 to +230 after New England’s 10-7 win over the Broncos in the conference championship.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba (+500) and Kenneth Walker III (+700) have the next-best odds. 58 of the 59 Super Bowl MVPs have been from the winning team. With Seattle opening as the favorite, it comes as no surprise that Seahawks’ players are crowded near the top of the odds board.
The odds fall quickly after Walker, with fellow RB Rhamondre Stevenson rounding out the top five at +3000. Rashid Shaheed (+4000), Stefon Diggs (+5000), and Jason Myers (+8000) are also listed in the top eight.
After Myers, six players are tied for the next-best odds. Christian Gonzalez, Cooper Kupp, Hunter Henry, Leonard Williams, Mack Hollins, and Nick Emmanwori are all listed at +10000 to win Super Bowl 60 MVP.

Why is Sam Darnold the Super Bowl 60 MVP Favorite?
The top Super Bowl 60 betting sites list Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold as the +130 favorite to win the MVP of the Big Game.
Seattle dominated their divisional round matchup against San Fran, but Darnold only racked up 124 passing yards on 12 completions. Darnold was much more involved in the NFC Championship Game, completing 25 passes for 246 yards and three TDs.
Replicating that performance in the Super Bowl will be challenging. New England’s defense only allowed 18.8 PPG in the regular season and has held opponents to 8.7 PPG in the playoffs.
Darnold also has to overcome history to win the Super Bowl MVP. He has faced the Pats four times in his career and is 0-4 in those meetings. Darnold has just one TD and nine interceptions in his career against New England.
The Pats also infamously made Darnold see “ghosts” in a 2019 matchup in which he threw 4 interceptions.
Darnold has grown a lot since then and has earned 30 wins over the last two seasons. He also has just one turnover this postseason. If Darnold can play mistake-free football in the Big Game, he will be in the conversation for MVP.
Can Drake Maye Win Super Bowl 60 MVP?
Drake Maye’s breakout second season helped the UNC alum become a finalist for regular-season MVP. Maye has the second-best odds to win Super Bowl MVP at +230.
During the regular season, Maye averaged 258.5 passing YPG and finished with 31 passing TDs. In the playoffs, though, Maye has managed just 177.7 passing YPG and has four TDs in three games.
Maye has also been sacked 15 times during the postseason, bringing his total on the year to 62.
Part of Maye’s struggles were due to the matchups he and the Pats faced in the AFC. New England faced three of the top five defenses in the league. All of their opponents had struggling offenses, too, so Maye was not asked to do much in their wins.
Maye must return to his regular-season form for New England to have a chance to beat Seattle. It would also help his case for MVP. On the other hand, playing well against Seattle, which allowed the sixth-fewest yards (285.6 YPG) and the fewest points (17.2 PPG) this season, will be challenging.

Quarterbacks have won the Super Bowl MVP in 34 of the previous 59 Big Games. The other 25 times, just under half, the award has gone to non-quarterbacks.
This year, the non-QBs with the best odds to win Super Bowl 60 MVP are Jaxon Smith-Njigba, Kenneth Walker III, and Rhamondre Stevenson.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba (+500)
Wide receivers have won the second-most Super Bowl MVP awards, bringing home the honor eight times. In the last 10 years, two receivers, Julian Edelman (53) and Cooper Kupp (56), have won the award.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba has the best odds of any non-QB to win the award at +500. JSN led the league with 1,793 receiving yards. After a quiet game in the divisional round, JSN gained 153 yards on 10 catches in the NFC Conference Championship.
A repeat of that performance could be enough to lock up MVP honors. However, JSN is dependent on Darnold playing well under the pressure of the Super Bowl. JSN also has to go against New England’s Christian Gonzalez, one of the best DBs in the league.
Kenneth Walker III (+700)
Another Seahawk with favorable Super Bowl MVP odds is RB Kenneth Walker III. In total, seven RBs have won Super Bowl MVP, but it has been nearly three decades since one claimed the award.
Walker split carries with Zach Charbonnet during the regular season, but the latter tore his ACL early in the team’s divisional round matchup with the 49ers. With Charbonnet out, Walker has assumed the bell cow role. He leads all players with 256 scrimmage yards and has scored four total TDs.
New England has a great run defense, which has improved with the return of DT Milton Williams. Finding room to run will be challenging, but KW3 can secure MVP honors if he takes over Super Bowl 60 with multiple TD runs like he did in the Divisional round.
Rhamondre Stevenson (+3000)
Another RB in the top five of the updated Super Bowl 60 betting odds is New England’s Rhamondre Stevenson. Despite being in the top five and having the second-best odds of any Pats’ player, Stevenson is a long shot at +3000.
Stevenson has been the Pats’ best offensive player in the postseason. He leads the team with 280 scrimmage yards and is averaging 4.8 yards per touch.
Seattle has a great defense that will pressure Drake Maye early and often. Stevenson can help New England by taking pressure off Maye and slowing down the Seahawks’ pass rush. He also needs to find the endzone multiple times and avoid the fumbling issues that plagued him earlier this season.

If he can secure a kick return TD in the Big Game, Shaheed could become the second special teams player to win Super Bowl MVP.
Other long shots to consider are Christian Gonzalez and Leonard Williams, who are tied with Nick Emmanwori for the best odds of any defender to win Super Bowl MVP at +10000.
Gonzalez has the tall task of slowing down JSN and is battling history. Only one CB has won MVP of the Big Game. Likewise, Williams faces the tough task of slowing down a Patriots offense that averaged 28.8 PPG in the regular season and would be the first DT since 1978 to win the award.
