Best TNF Prop Bet: Josh Allen Over 32+ Rushing Yards (-121)
BetUS has dozens of player and game props for every Week 2 game, including this market for Josh Allen’s rushing yards on TNF against the Lions. Allen is available at -121 odds to have 32+ rushing yards on Thursday.
Playing on short rest is challenging, but Allen’s rushing is one of Buffalo’s best weapons.
Allen only had 23 rushing yards on six attempts against a stout Houston defense. He should have more opportunities to run against the Lions. Detroit’s run defense was solid last week, allowing only 91 yards on 25 attempts, but it came at the cost of their pass defense.
New Orleans racked up 410 yards through the air and quickly abandoned their running game in what became a shootout in the second half. Buffalo does not have the same quality of receivers as the Saints, but the Bills’ running game is significantly better.
Running the ball will also help the Bills control the clock and protect their still unproven defense.
Top NFL Player Props for Week 2
Here are three more player props to target at the top NFL betting sites for Week 2.
Tee Higgins 5+ Receptions (+119)
The Bengals beat the Buccaneers 33-27 last week, but their top pass catchers struggled. Ja’Marr Chase had two catches for a dozen yards, while Tee Higgins racked up 59 yards on three catches.
The passing game was effective overall, with Joe Burrow hitting nine receivers for 25 completions and 254 yards.
Chase could be in for another long day against a tough Houston defense that was embarrassed last week. Higgins, on the other hand, will not be the focus of the Texans’ defense, opening the door for a better showing than he had last week.
Oddsmakers have Higgins at +119 odds to have 5+ receptions. He averaged 3.9 catches per game last year, but that was with Burrow missing most of the season. With a healthy Burrow in 2024, Higgins had 6.1 receptions per game.
Cam Ward 22+ Rushing Yards (+197)
Year two of the Cam Ward experiment did not start as planned. The Titans lost at home to the Jets, 23-10, and Ward averaged a measly 4.4 yards per pass attempt.
One of the few silver linings from their loss was Ward’s rushing. He gained 21 yards on four attempts, both of which ranked second on the Titans last week. Ward’s longest rush went for seven yards.
He is available at +197 odds to have 22+ rushing yards this week against Philadelphia.
A tough matchup against the Eagles promises another bad passing outing from Ward. However, he should be able to make headway on the ground. Philly allowed 132 rushing yards last week, including 31 yards on Jayden Daniels’ five attempts.
The Eagles pass rush is also a factor. If Tennessee’s line cannot hold up, then Ward will need to scramble more, increasing his chances of hitting 22+ rushing yards.
Derrick Henry 89+ Rushing Yards (-115)
My final player prop pick for Week 2 is for Derrick Henry to have 89+ rushing yards at -115 odds. Henry was dominant in his season debut against the Colts on Sunday, gaining 144 yards on just 24 attempts. He also ran for three TDs and added another 19 yards on his lone reception.
As good as Henry is, he cannot sustain 6.0 YPC. The good news is that he does not need to hit that mark to cover the total on this prop bet.
The Ravens are taking on the Saints in Baltimore’s home opener this weekend. New Orleans allowed 165 rushing yards last week in its loss to the Lions. Jahmyr Gibbs accounted for 156 of those yards, and he averaged 5.4 YPC.
Henry has averaged 104.6 rushing yards per game since joining the Ravens in 2024. He should easily reach that mark again against a weak Saints defense, which will be more than enough to cover his yardage prop bet.
Best Week 2 NFL Game Prop Bets
Football oddsmakers are also offering great game props for this week’s best matchups. Here are my four favorite props to target in Week 2.
Browns vs. Buccaneers – Defensive or Special Teams TD Scored (+270)
Cleveland and Tampa Bay were both sloppy in their respective losses last week. Deshaun Watson fumbled and threw an interception, while Baker Mayfield put the ball on the ground three times. Combined, the Browns and Buccaneers had six turnovers last week.
It was not all bad news for the Bucs, though, thanks to Josiah Trotter’s pick-six off of Joe Burrow.
BetUS has the odds of a defensive or special teams TD occurring in this matchup at +270. With how poorly these offenses played last week, the Browns and Bucs’ defense should have plenty of chances to force turnovers and run one in for the score.
Jaguars vs. Broncos – Both Teams Score Over 19.5 Points (+120)
Speaking of poor performances, the Broncos missed 28 tackles in their 31-10 loss to the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. Denver’s defense must be better this week if it wants to defend its home turf against the Jaguars.
Last year, Jacksonville beat Denver 34-20 in Mile High, ending the Broncos’ 11-game winning streak.
Oddsmakers have the odds at +120 that both teams score over 19.5 points this time around.
Denver’s offense should be better at home. The Broncos averaged 25.6 PPG at home last year. Jacksonville’s offense was rolling last week, putting up 34 points in the first three quarters against Cleveland before the Jaguars took their foot off the gas.
If Denver keeps up its end of the bargain, both teams will top 20 points in this matchup of AFC playoff contenders.
San Francisco Over 29.5 Points Scored (-121)
The 49ers are heavily favored against the Dolphins this week, laying 13.0 points in their home opener. BetUS has San Francisco listed at -121 odds to score over 29.5 points on Sunday.
Brock Purdy and company scored 27 points last week in their win over the Rams in Melbourne. Injury-depleted and jet-lagged as they were, the Rams’ defense was much tougher than what Purdy and the 49ers will face this weekend.
Likewise, San Fran’s offense is better than Las Vegas’s, which scored 27 against the Dolphins in Week 1.
Kirk Cousins completed 21 of 30 attempts and threw three TDs against Miami last week. The Raiders also racked up 130 yards on the ground against Miami. Vegas would have had more rushing yards if Cousins and Malik Benson had not combined for -14 yards on their six total attempts.
San Fran will not make the same mistakes as Las Vegas, allowing the 49ers to top 30 points in their home opener.
Chiefs Score on Their 1st Drive (+159)
Kansas City’s offense looked radically different in the Chiefs’ MNF win over Denver. Kenneth Walker III racked up 191 total yards, including a career-best 173 yards on the ground. It was the most rushing yards by a Chiefs RB since Jamaal Charles in 2012.
The Chiefs are back in prime time in Week 2 as they host the Colts. Indianapolis lost 41-23 at home last week and allowed the Ravens to rush for over 200 yards.
Indy’s defense struggled from the first whistle, and Baltimore scored on four of its first five drives.
Kansas City also scored on its first drive in Week 1 and should see success early and often on the ground. Assuming Andy Reid stays committed to the run, the Chiefs have a great shot at scoring on their first drive (+159) this weekend.

Week 1 saw historically high scoring, but that is unlikely to continue this week. Defenses will adjust, and offenses have less time to prepare for this week’s matchups than they did for their season openers.

The Bills and Lions are the first teams to play on short rest as the TNF opener, and the Giants have to travel across the country to play the Rams.
