Latest Indy 500 Odds

Indy 500 odds tell us that the race on May 25 is going to be a real thriller – the top three favorites are priced at +700 at BetUS!
One of those is NASCAR’s Kyle Larson, who’ll try to do “Double Duty” this Memorial Day weekend. Another one is Josef Newgarden, who won the previous two editions of the iconic race. Pato O’Ward is also in the mix, a Mexican driver who could end up in Formula 1 next season.
In addition, the 2025 Indy 500 roster will also feature some real legends of motorsports, including Scott Dixon, Alexander Rossi, and others.
Current Odds to Win the Indy 500 in 2025
The Indianapolis 500 is a part of the Triple Crown of motorsports, along with 24 Hours of Le Mans and F1 Monaco GP. Therefore, it’s no surprise that practically all sports betting sites have already released the 2025 Indy 500 odds.
It’s BetUS whose odds I like the most. To see why, just take a look at the table below.
Driver | Odds |
---|---|
Josef Newgarden | +700 |
Pato O’Ward | +700 |
Kyle Larson | +700 |
Alex Palou | +800 |
Scott Dixon | +1000 |
Scott McLaughlin | +1000 |
Will Power | +1200 |
Alexander Rossi | +1400 |
Colton Herta | +1400 |
Santino Ferrucci | +1600 |
The BetUS odds differ a lot from those offered by other Indy 500 sportsbooks. For example, most other Indy 500 betting sites put Alex Palou in the favorite role, priced at +350. If you think they’re right, the best thing you can do is back him at BetUS as this site is offering much better value (+800).
The same goes for betting on Josef Newgarden and Pato O’Ward – BetUS is giving the best odds for these guys. The only notable exception is Kyle Larson, whose Indy 500 odds are +700 at this sportsbook, while sites like BetOnline and SportsBetting.ag are giving +1000.
Best Sportsbook for the Indy 500 BetUS Sportsbook
BetUS is the best online sportsbook for Indy 500 betting because it offers the best odds for top favorites in the 2025 race. The same goes for other motorsports – Formula 1, NASCAR, MotoGP, and so on.
The great odds are just one on a long list of reasons why we think BetUS is awesome. This online sportsbook is also great for lucrative bonuses, fast payouts, around-the-clock support, and many other things.
BetUS also has its own online casino, which makes it an all-in-one gambling platform, where you can fulfill all of your gambling dreams and wishes. To see what we mean, just go to BetUS and see for yourself.

Josef Newgarden Is the True Indy 500 Favorite
As per BetUS, Josef Newgarden shares the top spot on the list of 2025 Indy 500 favorites with Pato O’Ward and Kyle Larson. Each of them is priced at +700 at this betting site, but most other sportsbooks are giving shorter odds on the defending champ.
Being the winner of the last two Indy 500 races, Newgarden is the true favorite in our eyes. He just loves racing at the “Brickyard”, and is backed by Team Penske, the most dominant team in Indy 500 history – this team’s drivers have won this event 20 times.
One thing that’s not going in Newgarden’s favor is that he hasn’t been very impressive in the 2025 season. In fact, since the season-opener – when he finished third – his best achievement was the No. 10 place at Alabama Indy GP on the first Sunday of May.
Top 2025 Indy 500 Contenders
There are only four drivers with Indy 500 odds shorter than +1000. In addition to Newgarden, O’Ward and Larson are priced at +700 as well, while Palou’s odds are +800 at the moment of writing.
Pato O’Ward (+700)
Same as last year, Josef Newgarden’s main rival at the Indy 500 seems to be Pato O’Ward. He finished second last year, but this time around, he’s determined to do better.
He wants to do this not only because of the prestige that’s attached to this iconic race; O’Ward motivation also comes from the fact that winning the May 24 event could put him on the Formula 1 radar.
As per his own admission, O’Ward’s plan is to become an F1 driver once the 2025 IndyCar Series season wraps up.
Kyle Larson (+700)
Kyle Larson is also chasing glory – the NASCAR driver wants not only to do Double Duty but also to win at least one of the two races on May 24.
So far, only Tony Stewart’s done the Memorial Day Double. He completed 200 laps at Indy 500, sat on a plane, and went to Charlotte to complete 400 laps at the Coca-Cola 600 – but he didn’t win either of those.
Larson wants to do that this year and his Indy500 odds suggest he might pull it off.
Alex Palou (+800)
While Newgarden has been underperforming in the 2025 IndyCar Series, Alex Palou has been just the opposite. The Spanish driver won four races this season and finished second once.
He’s never won the Indianapolis 500 race, though. He did come close in 2021 when he finished second. Plus, in the last two years, he finished in the Top 5. Maybe it’s time for the Spaniard to finally win the Borg-Warner Trophy?
Best 2025 Indy 500 Sleeper – Helio Castroneves (+2500)
Helio Castroneves is already a motorsports legend, but a win at the Brickyard on the final Sunday of May would make him the Indy500 GOAT.
The thing is that he’s in the shared first spot for the most wins in this race, along with A. J. Foyt, Al Unser, and Rick Mears, who competed in the last century.
If he wins, Castroneves will also break the record for the oldest winner in the history of the Indy 500. The Brazilian driver turned 50 earlier this month and is without a single win in the IndyCar Series for over two years.
This explains why his odds are +2500. However, keep in mind that he was a major underdog four years ago as well when he ended up winning the Indy 500.
2025 Indianapolis 500 Betting Tips & Strategy
The Indianapolis 500 is the crown jewel of the IndyCar calendar, and every driver on the grid brings maximum intensity to the Brickyard on the Memorial Day Weekend.
Such big races bring out the best in certain competitors, which is why it pays to look at which drivers have delivered on this stage before. Those who did well in the past are likely to do the same again.
- 2024 Winner: Josef Newgarden
- Most Wins (Active): Helio Castroneves – 4
Josef Newgarden is the man who took the trophy in the last two races, while Helio Castroneves is the most decorated active driver in the field. Experience at this track matters, but history tells us something important – repeat champions are rare.
There have been several instances of drivers winning back-to-back Indys, but Dario Franchitti remains the only one who’s done three times in a row. Can Newgarden join him?
2025 Indy 500 Prediction
I predict we’ll witness history-making at the 2025 Indy 500, but which driver will be behind it? Will it be Kyle Larson on his way to do Double Duty or maybe Helio Castroneves who wants to become the all-time most successful Indy 500 driver?
I think it’s going to be Newgarden again. He’ll become the Indy 500 king for a third year straight. Newgarden is a Brickyard specialist, who rarely impresses at other tracks. But in Indianapolis, he’s incredible.
The best thing is that Newgarden’s odds are incredible, at least that’s the case with those offered by BetUS. At this sportsbook, he’s priced at +700, which is something I don’t think motorsports betting fans should miss out on.
