The best football betting sites have #2 Georgia as the biggest favorite of Week 5, laying 25.0 points against the visiting Vanderbilt Commodores. At -3500 odds, the Bulldogs have an implied win probability of 97.22%.
#6 Indiana is also a heavy favorite, laying 24.0 points against Rutgers. The Hoosiers (-2500) have an implied win probability of 96.15% this weekend.
South Carolina (-160) is the only unranked team favored over a ranked opponent this weekend. The Gamecocks are laying 3.0 points against the visiting #24 Kentucky Wildcats.

Straight Up/ML Picks
Connor Weigman and the #20 Houston Cougars are -480 favorites over the visiting UCF Knights. Houston has one of the most productive offenses in the country, averaging 505.8 total yards (11th most) and 44.5 points per game (9th most). The Cougars average nearly 250 rushing YPG and will run all over the Knights this weekend.
Speaking of running teams, the #8 Florida Gators are -225 road favorites over the #25 Missouri Tigers. Florida is averaging 260 rushing yards and 53.5 points per game. Missouri, on the other hand, is coming off a loss to Mississippi State and is now 0-10 against ranked teams under head coach Eliah Drinkwitz.
#17 Tennessee is a -285 favorite at home against the unranked Auburn Tigers. The Vols lost last week to #1 Texas, 20-17, but they kept it close even after giving up 10 sacks. Tennessee should be better up front this week and have more success establishing the run against a Tigers team that has allowed 127.0 rushing YPG to opponents this season.
Best ATS Picks
#16 Mississippi State, fresh off a win over a ranked Mizzou team, is getting 5.5 points against the visiting #7 Alabama Crimson Tide. Bulldogs QB Kamario Taylor has played himself into the Heisman conversation with the team’s 4-0 start. Also, Alabama is not traveling to Starkville until the morning of the game, and a tired Crimson Tide team will struggle to cover the 5.5 points.
#5 Ohio State is laying 14.5 points against #14 Iowa on Saturday, and I think the Buckeyes will cover as road favorites. The Hawkeyes have a great defense and took down a ranked Michigan team last week. However, Iowa’s base defense, which plays one-on-one on the outside, is highly susceptible to deep passes and will struggle to contain WR Jeremiah Smith this weekend.
#4 Miami is laying 17.0 points as a road favorite against the Clemson Tigers on Saturday. The Hurricanes are first in total offense (588.8 YPG) and third in scoring (51.8 PPG) so far this season. Miami will win, cover the spread, and could effectively end Dabo Swinney’s tenure with the Tigers.
Top CFB Upset Picks
Boston College is a +800 underdog against #21 SMU this weekend. For the Eagles to pull off the upset, QB Mason McKenzie, who is also the team’s leading rusher, must limit his turnovers. Also, BC’s defense needs to slow down Mustangs QB Kevin Jennings, who is second in passing yards this year with 1,453.
#24 Kentucky is also an underdog this week, with oddsmakers listing the Wildcats at +135 for this weekend’s matchup against the Gamecocks. Kentucky’s best chance to win is to shut down the Gamecocks’ rushing attack and force a struggling LaNorris Sellers to throw the ball.
Washington has a chance to get back into the Top 25 with an upset win this weekend over #18 USC. The Trojans lost last week to Oregon, despite the Ducks playing a backup QB in the second half. Washington’s offense, averaging nearly 400 YPG, should move the ball up and down the field against USC this weekend.
Top Week 5 College Football Prop Bets
My top player prop at the best college football betting sites is for Georgia QB Gunner Stockton to score at -114 odds. The #2-ranked Bulldogs are hosting Vanderbilt, which has allowed 116.5 rushing YPG this year. Stockton’s scrambling has been a key part of Georgia’s success, and he is averaging 7.7 YPC.
#3 Notre Dame is favored by 21.0 points against North Carolina this week in Chapel Hill. However, if you push that line to -23.5, you can get +115 odds. UNC is vulnerable to the run, and the Fighting Irish are averaging over 140 rushing YPG.
#6 Indiana takes on Rutgers (1-3) this weekend and is laying 24.0 points as road favorites. The Hoosiers are averaging 43.5 PPG this year and are available at -130 odds to score over 38.5 points this week. Rutgers has allowed 37+ points in two of its four games, and I expect Indiana to score at least 40 this weekend.
