Your NFL picks for this week are limited to just 13 games as six teams are on a bye in Week 8. On the bright side, there are several high-profile matchups on this weekend’s schedule.

This guide covers the latest betting odds and my NFL predictions for Week 8. I will analyze the current betting line and give my picks for the top games of the week.

Daniel Jones and the 6-1 Colts are the only team laying double-digits this week. Indianapolis is laying 14.0 points as home favorites against their AFC South rivals, the Tennessee Titans.

Other teams laying at least a touchdown this week include the Falcons (-7.0), Ravens (-6.5), Bills (-7.5), Bengals (-7.0), Patriots (-7.0), and Eagles (-7.0). Buffalo is the only heavy favorite of the week that is favored by over a TD on the road this week.

The six teams on a bye this weekend are:

Week 8 NFL Picks

Here are my favorite bets available at top NFL betting sites for Week 8.

Best Week 8 NFL ML Picks (Straight Up)

Icon of football
  • Atlanta Falcons (-390) – Bet now!
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-230) – Bet now!
  • Green Bay Packers (-177) – Bet now!

Atlanta’s up-and-down offense laid an egg on Sunday Night Football against San Francisco in Week 7. The good news is that the Falcon should get back in the win column this week against the 1-6 Dolphins. Miami is in shambles after its 31-6 loss to Cleveland last week, making them the perfect get-right opponent for Atlanta.

Another favorite who will get to their winning ways this week is Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers failed to cover their Week 7 odds against the Lions in Detroit on MNF, but Baker Mayfield and company will beat the Saints (1-6) in New Orleans this weekend. Tampa averages just under 25.0 PPG, while New Orleans has topped 20 points twice all season.

Speaking of SNF, the Packers are road favorites against the Steelers in prime time this week. Green Bay’s offense struggled again last week, but the Packers’ defense racked up six sacks in the team’s first road win of the season. Micah Parsons and the rest of the Packers defense will have another productive day in a win this weekend against an immobile 41-year-old Aaron Rodgers.

Week 8 NFL Picks ATS

Icon of football
  • Cincinnati Bengals -7.0 (-110) – Bet now!
  • Carolina Panthers +7.5 (-114) – Bet now!
  • New York Giants +7.0 (-111) – Bet now!

Joe Flacco’s quick passing game has led to an offensive renaissance in Cincinnati. Flacco and the Bengals are 7.0-point favorites this weekend against the winless Jets. New York has questions across the board, including at coach and QB, so the Bengals should cover the spread on Sunday.

Carolina (4-3) has won three straight games and is undefeated at home, but they are getting 7.5 points against the visiting Bills this weekend. Buffalo lost back-to-back games before its Week 7 bye. The Bills’ offense has been too unreliable in its recent outings to trust Buffalo to cover 7.5 points.

Another underdog who has a great chance to cover this week is the Giants. New York is getting 7.0 points against the Eagles this week. The G-Men upset the Eagles two weeks ago, beating Philly by 17 points, and I think they can at least cover this week in the City of Brotherly Love.

Best Week 8 NFL Upset Picks

Icon of football

The Bears have scored 25+ points in every game of their four-game winning streak. However, Chicago is a +245 underdog this week against the Ravens (1-5) in Baltimore. Lamar Jackson should return to the Ravens’ lineup, but the dual-threat QB can only do so much to help his defense, and I think Chicago gets the upset this week.

Cleveland is also an underdog this Sunday, getting 7.0 points against the Pats in New England. The Patriots have been on a tear lately, but they have not played a defense like the Browns. Cleveland’s stout defense and run-heavy offense will shorten the game and give them a chance to win.

Dallas has one of the best offenses in football, averaging 31.7 PPG. The Cowboys are +148 underdogs this week in Denver against a Broncos’ team that had to score all 33 of its points in the fourth quarter to beat the Giants last week. Dallas’s offense will not make the same mistakes as New York did, and the Cowboys will get the road upset this weekend.

NFL Week 8 Predictions

  • Minnesota Vikings (+149)
  • Atlanta Falcons (-390)
  • Chicago Bears (+245)
  • Buffalo Bills (-415)
  • Cincinnati Bengals (-345)
  • San Francisco 49ers (-103)
  • Cleveland Browns (+290)
  • Philadelphia Eagles (-385)
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-230)
  • Dallas Cowboys (+148)
  • Indianapolis Colts (-1300)
  • Green Bay Packers (-177)
  • Kansas City Chiefs (-600)

Minnesota is a +149 underdog this week on Thursday Night Football against the Chargers. LA is the home team, but it is also coming off a 38-24 loss to the Colts last week.

The Chargers trailed 23-3 at halftime last week as their injuries on offense finally seemed to catch up with the Bolts. With that in mind, I expect LA to struggle again on a short week against the Vikings. A Minnesota upset is the way to go in this game.

Speaking of the Colts, Indy is the heaviest favorite of the weekend at -1300. Jonathan Taylor has carried the offense to a league-best 33.1 PPG. Taylor leads the league with 11 total TDs this season and has three games with at least three TDs scored.

Indianapolis is 6-1 and faces one of the worst teams in the NFL this week, the Tennessee Titans (1-6). Tennessee already fired its head coach, and the team was so bad that veteran Tyler Lockett asked to be released. Things will continue to spiral for the Titans this week with a road loss to the Colts.
