This was one of the first casinos that I played at. Overall the games are pretty good but I tend to spend a lot of time on Roulette. Pretty decent wins on most of the slots but I think the withdrawal process is not as great in comparison to other casinos. Specifically, they charge you $25 unless you use crypto. It takes 2-3 business days for withdrawals to be processed. I really don’t like that while in the withdrawal process you can cancel your deposit up until the two days are complete. I think a better concept would be to process the withdrawal immediately. The customer service chat is very resourceful and they offer bonuses such as monthly and daily bonuses based on your deposits.

The classics still hold a lot of appeal, too. My favourite in that category has to be Sevens & Stripes. It feels just like an old-school machine, with coins and mechanical buttons you physically press. Interestingly, I only found it in the downloadable Lucky Red software and not through the web browser.

The way they’ve handled categorization could do with a fair bit of improvement. I’m honestly quite surprised there aren’t more expert reviews highlighting the missed opportunity to filter by theme or slot mechanics. Again, looking at the downloadable software, there’s an info tab that gives you the lowdown on volatility, paylines, and game features. However, you still can’t actually sort through the options.

After some time, I found it got a bit easier once I started marking the games I liked best as favourites. That gave me my own little category to dip into whenever I wanted. These two were the ones I found myself coming back to most often:

My Favorite Slots At Lucky Red Casino

Cubee

Cubee is nothing like a regular slot, considering there are no reels and paylines involved. Instead, you get paid when Cubee defeats enemies or lands energy balls in a spin, but only if the enemies are weaker than him. From what I saw, any mix of energy balls and weaker enemies pays out when you land 3 to 8 in a spin, with rewards ranging from 0.5x to 40x your bet. I played on a $1 bet, pushed through all the stages, and once I made it to Cubeeland, I got nine free spins with a 4x multiplier. At the end of it, my starting balance had grown by $38!

Mermaid Queen

I tried Mermaid Queen shortly after it launched at Lucky Red Casino, and that session ended up running a lot longer than I had planned. The dusky ocean setting and the rather classic visuals set a tone that’s oddly hypnotic. That said, I could feel the high volatility early on with quite a few stretches of dry spins. But once I triggered the free spins, the pace shifted. I got 15 spins with 3 scatters, and while a few payouts hovered around $5, one spin suddenly dropped me $23.20.

Table Games

I do like that Lucky Red Casino’s got a dedicated table games section, since you don’t always see that. But I think they could’ve taken it a step further with info like minimum and maximum bets and RTPs. It feels like a missed opportunity to make the layout more user-friendly.

Video Poker

Lucky Red Casino has 15 different video poker games. While playing on the website, I could only access single-hand formats. On the desktop app, though, most of the titles also offered 3-hand, 10-hand, 52-hand, and even 100-hand variations. I wouldn’t recommend jumping into the latter on a small bankroll. However, using the right strategy gives you a much better shot at landing those bigger payouts.

Live Dealer Games

The live dealer section at Lucky Red Casino works a bit differently than what you’d find at most online casinos. For one, it’s only available on mobile, not desktop, and you need to be logged into your account to even get a look at the games.

Is Lucky Red Casino Legit?

Yes, Lucky Red Casino is a legitimate online casino and allows players to gamble from anywhere in the US. Recently, there’s been word that the Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) issued a cease-and-desist letter to try and block its operation within the state.

My Experience at Lucky Red Casino

What really drew me to Lucky Red Casino was the chance to claim a promotion every time I made a deposit. I will say, though, the website looked a bit tired, especially when comparing it to what you see at top US casinos these days. On my desktop, I often switched to the downloadable app instead. You get a larger game selection on there and a bit more detail about each one before you actually load it up.

My Final Verdict

Lucky Red Casino can be an ideal option for players who like having both a downloadable software option for desktop and the convenience of browser-based play. Slot fans, in particular, will feel right at home here.

The games library as a whole is on the smaller side, since they’ve gone with an exclusive setup that uses only Realtime Gaming titles. Most players and experts have good things to say about what’s on offer. The lack of live dealer tables gets brought up a lot, but I’d say that’s a bit off base — I found plenty available on mobile.
