Fans have plenty of betting markets to choose from in the latest The Voice odds for season 29. Season 29 of The Voice is dubbed Battle of the Champions, and for good reason. The number of coaches has been cut from four to three, and all are previous winners.

Adding to the stakes are two new competitions: the Triple Turn competition and the In-Season All-Star competition. Continue reading to see the latest odds for The Voice season 29 and my predictions for this season.

Odds to Win The Voice Season 29

Top entertainment betting sites had odds on The Voice: Battle of Champions long before the premiere. With two of the three blind audition rounds complete, the teams for coaches Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend are coming together.

Clarkson secured six of her 10 artists during the premiere and added another two singers in episode two. Levine has seven singers, while Legend only has five.

While not guaranteed, artists who get all the judges to turn tend to be favored by fans and oddsmakers. There have been six triple turns so far, including:

  • Alexia Jayy (Team Adam)
  • Abigayle Oakley (Team Kelly)
  • Jeremy Keith (Team Adam)
  • JW Griffin (Team Kelly)

There have also been six artists who only earned one chair turn. The other eight singers to qualify so far got to choose their coach. With one blind audition left, there are just 10 spots left for new singers on season 29.

The Voice In Season All-Star Competition Odds

One of the new features on The Voice: Battle of Champions is the In-Season All-Star Competition. Each coach selected two singers from their previous teams to compete.

CeeLo Green, one of the original coaches, will judge the All-Stars’ competition to decide the winner.

The singers in the All-Star competition include:

What Makes The Voice: Battle of Champions Different

To celebrate the 29th season, The Voice made multiple changes this year, including:

  • Reduced the number of coaches
  • Triple Turn competition
  • In-Season All-Star competition
  • No live shows

Cutting down the number of coaches was a major change. It is the first time the show has not featured at least four teams, and only 30 new singers are competing this season. Season 29 also marks the first time that no coaches returned from the previous season.

The Triple Turn competition rewards the coach who secures the most artists who earned chair turns from all three coaches. Whichever coach finishes the Blind Auditions with the most Triple Turn artists will win a Super Steal in the Battle Rounds.

A third major change is the In-Season All-Star competition. As mentioned above, two previous artists from each coach’s past teams will compete for bragging rights, with CeeLo Green judging the winner.

Finally, there are no live shows in Season 29. Instead, the entire season was prerecorded, and fans at home could not vote for the winner. The fans in the audience voted instead.

Analyzing the 2026 The Voice Coaches

Continue reading for a closer look at the three coaches competing on The Voice season 29.

Kelly Clarkson performs on NBC's Today show

Kelly Clarkson

Clarkson is not the most experienced coach on The Voice, competing on just her 10th season this year. However, the original American Idol winner has four wins in her nine previous appearances. Clarkson has the second-most wins of any coach, trailing only Blake Shelton, who won nine times in 23 seasons as a coach.

Adam Levine arrives at the 10th Breakthrough Prize Ceremony

Adam Levine

Adam Levine won the first season of The Voice and was a staple of the show for its first 16 seasons. After more than a decade away, Levine returned for Season 27, finishing fourth in his first season back. Levine has three wins as a coach, including the debut season with Javier Colon, and victories in seasons 5 and 9 with Tessanne Chin and Jordan Smith, respectively.

John Legend arrives at the 68th annual Grammy Awards

John Legend

John Legend won Season 16, his debut season, with Maelyn Jarmon. Since then, Legend’s artists have finished third three times, fourth three times, and fifth four times. Season 25 was the only season in which Legend advanced multiple artists to the top five.

What Type of Singer Wins The Voice?

There have been winners from several genres in the previous 28 seasons of The Voice. Regardless of the type of music they sang, the previous winners all shared a few key characteristics.

Icon of entertainment
  • Popular with the fans
  • Flexible vocal ranges
  • Big voices capable of showstopping performances
  • High levels of overall artistry

Contestants must connect with the audience if they want to secure enough votes from fans to win. Also, they need to be flexible enough to sing multiple styles of songs, while having strong enough voices to tear the house down. Lastly, to stand out in the final stages, a singer must have high levels of overall artistry, including their wardrobe and choreography.
