New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart in football game

NFL prop bets are unique and exciting ways to bet on every game of the season. Football fans can use props to wager on their favorite players. You can also bet on game props for the most exciting matchups every week.

This guide highlights the best player and game props for Week 5. I analyze my top prop bets for the week and give betting tips to help you make winning wagers this weekend.

Top NFL Player Props for Week 5

Lucky Rebel offers exciting player props for every game, including unique weekly specials. Here are my top player prop specials for Week 5.

Jaxson Dart, Brock Bowers, and Ashton Jeanty Combine for 2+ TDs (+120)

Jaxson Dart’s shocking debut last week helped the Giants win their first game of the season. Now, Dart and the G-Men will take on the Saints in New Orleans.

Dart is still developing into an NFL-level passer, but his rushing ability more than makes up for it. He is a threat to score this weekend against a Saints’ defense that has allowed the third-most points this season (30.3 PPG).

The Raiders finally hit on a first-round pick last year with tight end Brock Bowers. Las Vegas may have hit on their first round pick again in 2025 with Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty.

Jeanty had 135 scrimmage yards and three total TDs last week. Dart, Jeanty, and Bowers only need to combine for two scores for this prop to hit at +120 odds. Bowers has been hurt, but Jeanty and Dart are reliable anytime TD scorers this week.

Brock Bowers, Ashton Jeanty, and Cam Skattebo Combine for 4+ TDs (+650)

If you want to up the ante, you can bet on Bowers, Jeanty, and Cam Skattebo to combine for four scores this week. Skattebo, a fellow rookie, was a big part of Darts’ win in his debut. He should continue to get start reps with Tyrone Tracey out with a shoulder injury.

This bet requires at least one player in this trio to score twice. As mentioned above, Jeanty scored three times last week. Skattebo did not score last week, but he should have plenty of chances to find the endzone this week against the Saints.

Bowers has also struggled to produce points this season and is still searching for his first TD of the season. On the bright side, Bowers and the Raiders take on the Colts, who have allowed eight passing TDs this season, tied for fifth-most.

Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Emeka Egbuka, and Marvin Harrison Jr. Combine for 2+ TDs (+115)

Another player prop special available at Lucky Rebel for Week 5 combines three former Ohio State Buckeyes into an anytime TD scorer wager. Jaxson Smith-Njigba, Emeka Egbuka, and Marvin Harrison Jr. are listed at +115 to combine for at least two touchdowns this week.

This trio of Buckeyes has combined for at least two scores in two of the four previous games. Egbuka, the rookie, leads the group with four TDs so far this season.

With Mike Evans out another week, Egbuka is in line for increased targets again this week. Running back Bucky Irving could also miss this week, creating even more work for Egbuka.

Harrison Jr. will also benefit from injuries to Arizona’s other offensive skill players. James Conner (foot) and Trey Benson (knee) are both out this week, so Harrison Jr. will need to pick up the slack.

Best Week 5 NFL Game Prop Bets

Lucky Rebel offers exciting game props for this week’s most anticipated matchups.

Houston Texans Win Both Halves (+350)

Houston earned its first win of the season with a 26-0 win over Tennessee. Now the Texans (1-3) take on the Ravens (1-3) in Baltimore.

Before the season, this game was a potential playoff preview. However, poor starts by both teams and numerous injuries to the Ravens have lowered expectations for this game. Multiple Baltimore starters, including quarterback Lamar Jackson, are expected to miss this game.

With Jackson and several defensive starters out, the Ravens have little to no chance of winning this game. Houston should lead wire to wire, and I think the Texans will win both halves (+350) on Sunday.

New York Jets -1.5 (+121)

The Jets (0-4) are one of the last remaining winless teams in the NFL. New York hosts the Cowboys (1-2-1) this week.

Dallas has scored 40 points in both of its home games but managed just 34 combined points in its two road games. The Cowboys’ poor offense on the road will cost them against Justin Fields and the Jets this week.

New York is a 2.5-point underdog, but it will upset Dallas this week. Lucky Rebel has an alternate line for the Jets -1.5 that offers +121 odds. Dallas has lost its two road games by an average of 10.5 points, so the Jets can win and cover a spread of 1.5.

Vikings Win and Both Teams Score 10+ Points (+105)

Minnesota is .500 after losing to Pittsburgh last week. On the bright side, the Vikings have a great chance to end their international road trip with a win this week. They face the Browns, who will be starting rookie Dillon Gabriel.

The Vikings’ defense has 11 sacks this season, so Gabriel could be in for a long day in his first career start. However, the rookie could also provide a spark to a Browns team that has scored at least 10 points in every game this season.

Minnesota will win, but both teams will finish with at least 10 points.

Buffalo Bills -2.5 (-340)

Buffalo (4-0) is the only remaining undefeated team in the AFC. The Bills host the Patriots in an AFC East matchup this week on Sunday Night Football. Buffalo is a 7.5-point favorite for this divisional game.

The Bills were double-digit favorites the last two weeks. Buffalo won both games, but they did not cover the spread. Divisional matchups can be tough to predict, and covering a touchdown spread against a division rival is easier said than done.

With that in mind, I recommend taking this alternate Buffalo spread instead. It will be much easier for Buffalo to cover -2.5 (-340) than -7.5. Also, unlike in my Week 4 props picks, Buffalo does not need to score more than a field goal to cover this bet.

Detroit Lions Score First (-170)

The Lions are the biggest favorite of Week 5, laying 10.5 points against the Bengals in Cincinnati. Detroit leads the league with 34.3 PPG, and the Bengals have combined for 13 points in their last two games.

Cincy scored a field goal on its opening drive in Week 4 and was shut out the rest of the game. If their struggles continue, the Bengals might not score at all this weekend.

Detroit’s offense is one of the most efficient units in the league, and the Lions are a much safer bet to score first (-170) in this matchup.

Four games into the season, and new trends have emerged. Here are some tips to keep in mind when considering what props to bet on this week at the top football betting sites

Offenses Should Be in Rhythm Now

Reduced practice time in the summer, combined with fewer starters playing the preseason, leads to many offenses starting slow. However, now that we are a month into the season, offenses should be rounding into mid-season form.

This is great news for bettors as teams should put on more consistent performances, making games easier to predict as a result.

Watch for Line Movement as a Result of Injury

The downside of being a month into the season is that injuries have started to rack up across the NFL. Dozens of starters, including multiple quarterbacks, have already missed games this season. Injuries to key starters can significantly change betting lines.

Baltimore, for instance, was a heavy favorite against the Texans. However, after news broke that Lamar Jackson would likely miss the game, he line flipped, and the Ravens became underdogs at home.

Monitoring injuries is essential, as is watching line movement. Staying informed about the latest injury news can help you time your wagers for the best value.
