For the first time in a long time, every team in the AP Top 25 rankings is in action this week. There are multiple ranked vs. ranked matchups, too, including:
The home team is the favorite in four of the five ranked vs. ranked games this week. The only exception is #15 BYU. Despite being the higher-ranked team and playing at home, the Cougars are getting 3.5 points against the visiting Utes.
Only one ranked team, #12 Georgia Tech, is an underdog against an unranked opponent this week. The 6-0 Yellow Jackets are getting 1.5 points on the road against the Duke Blue Devils.

Best Week 8 College Football Picks
Here is an in-depth look at my top college football predictions for Week 8.
Straight Up/ML Picks
The #7 Texas Tech Red Raiders jumped up two spots this week after dominating KU 41-17. Texas Tech has not allowed more than 17 points in any game and has scored at least 34 points every week. I picked the Red Raiders in my Week 7 best bets, and I am riding with them again as -340 favorites against 4-2 Arizona State.
Another Texas team in the top 10 that I like to win this week is #4 Texas A&M. The Aggies are listed at -310 favorites to beat the Razorbacks. Arkansas is 2-4 this season and will lose its fifth straight game this week.
One of the new additions to the rankings this week is #24 Cincinnati. The Bearcats earned their spot in the Top 25 by taking down Iowa State and UCF in back-to-back weeks. Cincinnati has not lost since Week 1, and the 1-5 OSU Cowboys are not ending that streak this weekend.
Best ATS Picks
The Sooners lost Red River last week, dropping from #6 to #14 in the rankings. Oklahoma has a great chance to bounce back this week against South Carolina (3-3). The Sooners are laying 5.5 as road favorites, and they will cover against a Gamecocks team that is 1-3 against SEC opponents this year.
Speaking of SEC matchups, the #11 Tennessee Volunteers take on the #6 Alabama Crimson Tide in Tuscaloosa this week. The Vols are getting 8.5 points in this ranked vs. ranked matchup. Tennessee has not won in Bryant-Denny Stadium since 2003, but its explosive offense will cover the spread this week.
Missouri dropped two spots to #16 after losing to Alabama at home last week. The Tigers can get back in the win column this weekend with a matchup against unranked Auburn. Mizzou is laying 2.0 points on the road and will cover in this battle of Tigers mascots.
Top CFB Upset Picks
The #12 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are undefeated, but they are road underdogs this week against Duke. Georgia Tech has scored 30+ points in four of its six games this season. The Yellow Jackets’ offense will carry them to an upset win this weekend against a Duke team that gives up over 375 YPG.
#5 Ole Miss is an underdog on the road this week against #9 Georgia. The Bulldogs’ passing struggles cost them against Alabama two weeks ago. If they struggle again this week, Georgia will not be able to keep up with a Rebels team averaging 311 passing YPG this season.
The #20 USC Trojans are +270 underdogs against #13 Notre Dame this weekend. USC earned a major win over then-#15 Michigan last week, and they will bet another Top 15 this week when they take down the Fighting Irish. The Trojans have the second-most productive offense in college football, averaging 552.3 YPG, and they will overwhelm Notre Dame this weekend.
Top Week 8 College Football Prop Bets
LSU and Vanderbilt square off in a matchup that will shake up the AP Top 25. These Top 25 teams are both averaging over 25 PPG this season. I think their high-scoring offenses will put up points again this week, with LSU and Vanderbilt combining to cover an alternate total of 50.0 points.
Memphis moved up to #22 after dominating Tulsa 45-7 last week. They face another easy opponent this week in a UAB team that gives up 41.3 PPG., the most in college football, and recently fired its head coach. Memphis should easily cover its first-half total of 14.0 points this weekend.
Finally, #22 Utah and #15 BYU battle it out for supremacy in the Beehive State. The Utes and Cougars average 39.5 and 37.5 PPG, respectively. With that in mind, I think these high-scoring offenses will combine for at least 10.0 points in the first quarter of this in-state rivalry matchup.
