Three matchups between AP Top 25 ranked teams and the latest chapter of the Red River Rivalry highlight this week’s college football matchups. Ole Miss, which jumped into the top five after its win over LSU, is the biggest favorite of the weekend at -32.5 against Washington State.

Three ranked teams, including #6 Oklahoma, #15 Michigan, and #18 BYU, are underdogs this weekend against unranked opponents.

The four ranked teams on a bye this week include:

Best Week 7 College Football Picks

Let’s take a closer look at my college football predictions for Week 7.

Straight Up/ML Picks

Texas Tech jumped into the Top-10 with its 35-11 win over Houston last week. Now, the #9 Red Raiders are -625 favorites against Kansas. The Jayhawks’ offense is explosive, but Texas Tech will emerge unscathed this weekend and improve to 7-0.

Another favorite to bet on this weekend is #10 Georgia, which takes on Auburn. The Bulldogs are a -179 road favorite against the 3-2 Tigers. Auburn has lost back-to-back games, both against ranked SEC teams, and they will lose again this week against Georgia.

#5 Texas A&M looks to improve to 6-0 this week against Florida. The Gators took down Texas in the Swamp last week, but they will be at a significant disadvantage this weekend in College Station. Texas A&M has scored 31+ in four of its five games, and the Aggies will improve to 4-0 at home this weekend.

Best ATS Picks

Icon of football
  • #8 Alabama -3.0 (-108) – Bet now!
  • #1 Ohio State -14.0 (114) – Bet now!
  • #21 Arizona State +6.0 (-111)- Bet now!

The Crimson Tide lost Week 1, but has won four straight since, including a major road victory over Georgia. #8 Alabama plays another ranked opponent this week, the #14 Missouri Tigers. Mizzou is undefeated, but they are punching above their weight class this week, and Alabama will cover the 3.0 points.

Another ranked matchup pits #1 Ohio State against #17 Illinois. The Buckeyes have a +162 points differential this year and have not allowed an opponent to score double-digits in any game. Ohio State easily covered its Week 6 odds, and the Buckeyes will cover the 14.0-point spread this weekend.

#21 Arizona State is getting 6.0 points this week on the road against Utah. Both teams are 4-1, and a win moves either school one step closer to a Big 12 title. Rice-Eccles Stadium is a tough place to play, but I think the Sun Devils can do enough this week to cover at +6.0.

Top CFB Upset Picks

Texas opened the season as the #1 ranked team, but the Longhorns (3-2) dropped out of the rankings entirely after their loss to unranked Florida last week. Despite that, Texas is favored over #6 Oklahoma this week. The Sooners are the most consistent team this year, and Oklahoma (-102) will pull off the upset in this season’s Red River Rivalry.

Another ranked underdog who can pull off an upset win this week is #15 Michigan. The Wolverines are getting 2.5 points on the road against the Trojans. USC lost at home last week to Illinois, and they will fall to 2-2 in conference play after losing to Michigan this weekend.

My final underdog is unranked Arizona, which is listed at +101 to beat #18 BYU. The Wildcats are undefeated at home this season, and BYU averages nearly 15 fewer points on the road than at home. The Cougars have also given up more points week-to-week in every game this year, which will open the door for Arizona to secure the upset.

Top Week 6 College Football Prop Bets

Icon of football
  • Washington State +20.0 in the 1st half (-106)- Bet now!
  • Kenyon Sadiq (ORE) anytime TD scorer (-114) – Bet now!
  • #11 LSU -10.0 (+107) – Bet now!

#4 Ole Miss earned a huge win over LSU before the team’s bye. The Rebels are well-rested for their matchup against Washington State, but that rest could have slowed their momentum. With that in mind, I think Wazzu can cover +20.0 in the first half against an Ole Miss team that has earned three of its five wins by a touchdown or less.

Oregon’s Kenyon Sadiq has three receiving TDs this season. The talented tight end should play a major role in this week’s game plan against #7 Indiana. Sadiq is listed at -114 to score at least once, and I believe the 6’3 Junior will find the endzone.

#11 LSU is an 8.5-point favorite against South Carolina this weekend. The Tigers have not played since losing to Ole Miss in Week 5. LSU has had extra time to prepare for this game and has all the motivation it needs to cover an alternate spread of -10.0 (+107).
