There will be 24 of the Top 25 teams taking the field this weekend. In addition to the lines above, look for college football odds to become available for these matchups featuring ranked teams.
Notre Dame, which fell to #9 after its loss to Miami in Week 1, is the only ranked team not playing this week.
The Nittany Lions are listed as one of the biggest favorites in Week 2 at -41.5 points. Despite their dominant win in their home opener, #2 Penn State was leapfrogged by rival Ohio State in the AP rankings. The Buckeyes opened at #3 but took down #1 Texas in their opener and assumed the top spot in the AP Top 25.

Best Week 2 College Football Picks
There are exciting moneyline, point spread, and upset betting options for ranked teams in Week 2. Here are my favorite picks for games with AP Top 25 teams this weekend.
Straight Up/ML Picks
Ole Miss, Florida, and Arizona State highlight my college football predictions this week. They all top 20 teams facing unranked, but familiar, opponents this weekend.
The 20th-ranked Rebels opened their season with a 63-7 win over Georgia State. Kentucky, on the other hand, edged out Toledo 24-16. Quarterback Zach Calzada completed just 10 passes for 85 yards, and that is simply not good enough for the Wildcats to upset Ole Miss.
I picked South Florida to upset Boise State in my week 1 college football predictions. The Bulls pulled through with a 34-7 thrashing of the Broncos. Unfortunately, I doubt they upset Top 25 teams in back-to-back weeks and expect #13 Florida (-900) to handle business at home.
#12 Arizona State racked up over 200 yards on the ground in its Week 1 win over Northern Arizona. Mississippi State will be a tougher out, but the Sun Devils (-245) will pull through and improve to 2-0 to start the season.
Best ATS Picks
Spread betting is the best way to salvage value on heavy favorites, and my top college football picks ATS in Week 2 are Kent State +48.0, #6 Oregon 28.0, and #3 LSU -37.5.
#24 Texas Tech dominated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 67-7 but still dropped one spot in the rankings. The Red Raiders should beat Kent State easily, but 48.0 points is simply too many. I think the Golden Flashes will cover in a losing effort this weekend.
Oregon improved from #7 to #6 after its 59-13 win over Montana State last weekend. The Ducks are 28.0-point favorites over Oklahoma State, and they will cover. OSU barely topped 350 total yards of offense against unranked UT Martin last week, so the Ducks should roll to 2-0.
LSU won the battle for Death Valley last week, taking down then-No. 4 Clemson 17-10 and jumping from No. 9 to No. 3 in the AP Poll. The Tigers face a much easier opponent this weekend in Louisiana Tech. LSU will win and cover the 37.5 points this weekend.
Top CFB Upset Picks
Two of my three college football upset picks for Week 1 pulled off the win. The teams I think have the best shot at pulling off an upset this weekend are Iowa (+135), Baylor (+120), and #15 Michigan (+165).
Iowa dominated UAlbany last week 34-7 and now takes on in-state rival #16 Iowa State. The Hawkeyes have a stout defense and ran for over 300 yards in their season opener. Iowa State allowed 4.1 yards per rush against Kansas State and will struggle to contain Iowa’s ground attack this weekend.
Baylor is another unranked team that I believe will pull off an upset in Week 2. The Bears lost their opener against Auburn, but Senior quarterback Sawyer Robertson posted over 400 yards through the air.
The only ranked vs. ranked matchup of the week is #15 Michigan against #18 Oklahoma. Despite having a higher ranking, the Wolverines are +165 road underdogs. The Sooners were 1-4 against ranked teams last year, so I think Michigan is a good bet to get the upset win on the road this weekend.
Top Week 2 College Football Prop Bets
Bovada also offers exciting college football prop bet markets for Week 2’s most anticipated games.
The Nittany Lions are favored by over 40 points against FIU, and Bovada lists them as -27.0 point favorites in the first half alone. Penn State will easily win this game, and I expect them to cover the spread in the first half against FIU.
Illinois and Duke both had 150+ rushing yards in their Week 1 wins over Western Illinois and Elon, respectively. While their opening wins were impressive, they face tougher competition in their Week 2 matchup. Illinois and Duke are listed at over/under 50.0 points, but I like their alternate line of under 48.5 (+105) better.
Finally, Texas fell from #1 to #7 after their 14-7 loss to Ohio State. Despite a disappointing Week 1, I think the Longhorns will bounce back against a much weaker opponent, San Jose State, in their home opener. Arch Manning and company should come out firing and cover their 9.5-point spread in the first quarter.
