Best Week 10 College Football Picks

Let’s dive deeper into my top Week 10 college football predictions.

Straight Up/ML Picks

Icon of football

#13 Texas Tech faces a tough test against Kansas State this week. The Wildcats were ranked in the preseason but fell out of the Top 25 thanks to their 4-4 record. Texas Tech will win, setting up a must-see game with #10 Utah next weekend.

Another favorite who will win outright this week is #8 Georgia Tech. The Yellowjackets (8-0) take on the NC State Wolfpack (4-4) at Carter-Finley Stadium this weekend. NC State is just 1-3 in ACC play this year and will lose its fourth conference game this week.

#14 Tennessee can break into the playoff picture with a win over #18 Oklahoma this weekend. The Volunteers need a signature win over a ranked team this season, and this is their best shot to get it. Tennessee wins, handing the Sooners their third SEC loss and potentially knocking them out of the Top 25.

Best ATS Picks

Icon of football
  • #10 Miami -12.5 (-110) – Bet now!
  • #5 Georgia -7.0 (-116) – Bet now!
  • #15 Virginia -4.5 (-105) – Bet now!

#10 Miami bounced back from its loss to Louisville with a 42-7 shellacking of Stanford. The Hurricanes are laying 12.5 this week at SMU. Miami will win and cover against a Mustangs team that managed just 12 points in last week’s loss to Wake Forest.

Another ranked favorite who will cover this week is #5 Georgia. The Bulldogs are laying 7.0 points against Florida (3-4). The Gators are 1-3 against ranked opponents this year, and Georgia should easily win this game.

Virginia jumped one spot to 15th in the Top 25 after doing just enough to win as a betting favorite last week over UNC. The Cavaliers, who have won six straight games, are 4.5-point favorites at Cal this weekend. Virginia’s offense, which averages 37.1 PPG, will get back to its high-scoring ways this week and cover against the Golden Bears.

Top CFB Upset Picks

Starting my upset picks this week is #9 Vanderbilt, which is a +114 road underdog against #20 Texas this weekend. The Commodores are rolling after taking down LSU and Mizzou in back-to-back weeks. Vandy will win its third straight game against a ranked opponent this week at Texas Memorial Stadium.

Nebraska (6-2) hosts #23 USC (5-2) this week in an important Big Ten matchup. The Trojans have lost two of their last three, and they have allowed 31+ points in three of their last four. Nebraska averaged 35.0 PPG, and the Cornhuskers’ offense will lead them to an upset win.

#17 Cincinnati is a +260 underdog this week against #24 Utah. The Bearcats must win to keep pace with BYU (8-0) at the top of the Big 12 rankings. Cincinnati will win its eighth consecutive game with an upset over a Utes team that is 1-2 against ranked teams this season.

Top Week 10 College Football Prop Bets

Icon of football
  • #1 Ohio State -11.5 in the 1st half (+101) – Bet now!
  • #2 Indiana -23.5 (+112) – Bet now!
  • #7 Ole Miss over 16.5 points in the 1st half (-142) – Bet now!

#1 Ohio State needs an impressive win this week to remain at the top of the AP rankings. The Buckeyes should put on a show against rival Penn State, beating the Nittany Lions by at least 11.5 in the first half.

The team trying to catch the Buckeyes is #2 Indiana, which is ranked ahead of Ohio State in the Big Ten standings. Indiana faces an unranked Maryland team that is 1-3 in conference play. The Hoosiers average 45.4 PPG, third-most in the country, and they will cover this alternate spread of 23.5 points this week.

The #7 Rebels take on a struggling South Carolina team that has dropped five of its six conference games. Ole Miss will win, and their offense should score early and often. I believe the Rebels will score over 16.5 points in the first half against the Gamecocks.
