College Football National Championship Odds (2025-26)

After a hard-fought playoff, only two schools remain for your College Football National Championship picks. #1 Indiana steamrolled through the regular season and the 12-team tournament to reach the title game. #10 Miami, on the other hand, was a controversial pick to make the CFP, but has proven its championship mettle with three straight postseason wins. 

Indiana and Miami square off on January 19th in this year’s CFP championship game. Keep reading to see the latest College Football National Championship odds for this year’s title game and my best bets for the final college football game of the season.  

Odds to Win the 2026 College Football National Championship

Here are the latest college football title game odds, courtesy of Lucky Rebel. 

#10 Miami will compete for the National Championship in its home stadium. Despite being at home, the Hurricanes are 8.0-point underdogs against the Indiana Hoosiers. 

Top football betting sites have #1 Indiana listed as -330 favorites to win Monday’s CFP National Championship game. Indiana is undefeated this season, and the Hoosiers have been the title favorites since Miami eliminated #2 Ohio State.

Why is Indiana the NCAAF Title Favorite?

Indiana beat Ohio State in the Big Ten title game and earned the number-one seed in the CFP. However, the Hoosiers were not unquestioned title favorites until the defending champion Buckeyes were eliminated from the tournament.

The Hoosiers have dominated teams all season, scoring 55+ points in seven of their 15 games this year. In their two playoff games, the Hoosiers outscored Alabama and Oregon by a combined score of 94-25. 

Their offensive prowess was a major reason QB Fernando Mendoza won the Heisman Trophy this season. Their RB duo of Roman Hemby and Kaelon Black combined for over 2,000 rushing yards and 17 rushing TDs. 

Indiana’s defense has also been top-notch this season. They allowed 11.1 PPG, the second-fewest in the county. The Hoosiers racked up 45 sacks and 29 total turnovers this season. 

Can Miami Pull Off the Upset in the National Championship?

The CFP committee was highly criticized this season for letting the Hurricanes into the playoffs as the #10 seed. Miami has silenced all of its doubters this postseason by taking down three higher-seeded teams. 

So far, the Hurricanes’ postseason resume includes:

• 10-7 win over #7 Texas A&M
• 24-14 win over #2 Ohio State
• 31-27 win over #6 Ole Miss

After three straight road games, the Hurricanes will play for the CFP National title on their home turf. 

Miami’s offense has struggled at times, but Carson Beck and company did hang 24 points on the Buckeyes’ top-ranked scoring defense. Beck and the offense have also improved every round of the CFP. 

The Hurricanes’ defense has been tough to score on, too, ranking fifth this year with 14.0 PPG allowed. Indiana’s offense will be a major test for Miami’s defense. The Hoosiers have averaged 47 PPG in their two playoff games so far. 

Best 2025-2026 National Championship Prop Bets

Elijah Sarratt (IU) Anytime TD Scorer (-122)

Elijah Sarratt has been Indiana’s second-best receiver this season, reeling in 62 catches for 802 yards and 15 touchdowns. Sarratt has scored five TDs in his last four starts, including three so far in the postseason. 

Oddsmakers have Sarratt listed at -122 odds to score against Miami in the National Championship game. 

Sarratt has scored in all but three games this season, and two of his scoreless games were in the first three weeks of the season. The Senior wide receiver has been a consistent target for Mendoza and should see plenty of work on Monday. Sarratt will score at least once against Miami. 

Fernando Mendoza (IU) Over 215.5 Passing Yards (-115)

Speaking of Mendoza, the newly crowned Heisman Trophy winner is listed at -115 odds to have over 215.5 passing yards in the championship game. 

Mendoza averaged 223.3 passing YPG and completed a career-best 73% of his passes. 

The Cal transfer has not had to do much in the postseason, completing 86.11% of his passes for 369 total yards. He has not surpassed 200 passing yards since the Big Ten title game, thanks in large part to the Hoosiers’ dominant run game. 

Miami’s front seven has allowed the Hurricanes’ defense to take over games this playoff. The Hurricanes’ dominant defensive line will be tough to run against, forcing Mendoza to throw more. If Indiana can keep Mendoza upright, the Heisman winner will exceed 215.5 passing yards on Monday.  

Carson Beck (MIA) Over 0.5 Interceptions (-176)

The other starting QB on Monday is Carson Beck. Like Mendoza, Beck transferred last offseason. Beck spent five years at Georgia, winning two rings as the Bulldogs’ backup. 

Beck has a chance to win his first ring as a starter this season. So far, the sixth-year QB has racked up over 3,500 passing yards and 29 passing TDs. However, he has also thrown 11 interceptions, one shy of the career-high 12 Beck threw last season. 

Oddsmakers have Beck listed at -176 odds to throw over 0.5 interceptions in Monday’s matchup with Indiana. He only has two picks in his last five games, and both came in games where Beck had to throw 29+ passes. 

Beck and the Hurricanes are likely going to be playing from behind on Monday, forcing Miami to throw the ball more. A pass-heavy approach increases Beck’s odds of throwing a pick against Indiana.
