Toronto had to fight back from a 3-2 deficit in the ALCS against the Seattle Mariners to make its first World Series in over three decades. LA, on the other hand, swept the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS to make its second consecutive Fall Classic.

World Series Update
The Los Angeles Dodgers lived up to their billing as the World Series favorite, stunning the Toronto Blue Jays with a thrilling game seven win. The Dodgers started out in a 1-0 hole in the series before bouncing back and winning an insane 18-inning game five to take a 2-1 advantage.
From there, Toronto took full control of the series, winning the next two games. They headed back home with two closeout opportunities, up 3-2. The Dodgers fought back with a 3-1 win to force game seven, and then leaned on several miraculous plays and efforts (namely the improbable return of Yoshinobu Yamamoto) to upset the Jays in 11 innings.
Early 2026 World Series Frontrunners
It’s early, but as you’d expect, the Dodgers head 2026 World Series odds lists. Despite how unlikely a three-peat would be, L.A. enters the offseason as +350 betting favorites to win it all again. They’re followed by the Yankees (+700) and Phillies (+1000).
Surprisingly, despite coming painfully close to their first world title since 1993, Toronto carries just +2000 odds. We’ll update this post with full World Series betting odds and predictions eventually. For now, you can head to Lucky Rebel if you want to place an early bet.
Latest 2025 World Series Odds
A game-ending double play helped the Dodgers pick up the win last night, leading to the two best words in sports: Game 7. Los Angeles has been favored in every game this series, and that trend continues for tonight’s decisive final game.
With that in mind, it comes as no surprise that LA has also resumed control of the top of the World Series odds board. The Dodgers are -148 favorites to repeat as World Series champions.
Toronto’s offense struggled in its attempt to close out the series. Dropping Game 6 also knocked the Blue Jays out of pole position for the series. They are listed as +121 underdogs to win tonight and claim Toronto’s first World Series win in over 30 years.

Los Angeles was a 1.5-run favorite for the first six games of the series. So, it is only fitting that the Dodgers are laying 1.5 runs again for the decisive Game 7.
Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers are -148 favorites to win tonight. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Blue Jays, on the other hand, are +121 underdogs to win at home tonight.
Despite the odds, the Blue Jays have the home-field advantage. Also, Ohtani will be pulling double duty tonight, pitching and hitting.
Ohtani’s struggles at the plate this series started in Game 4 when he attempted to play both ways. If that is the case again tonight, the Blue Jays will win the game and secure their first World Series since the early 1990s.

The projected Game 7 lineup for the World Series includes Ohtani leading off for LA and starting as the Dodgers’ pitcher. However, Ohtani does not need to pitch more than a few innings, as Tyler Glasnow, who earned the save last night and started Game 3, will be waiting to take the mound.
In Game 6, Miguel Rojas entered the lineup but did not do much at the plate. On the bright side, Rojas did make the game-winning play to get the Dodgers out of a jam in the 9th.
Toronto’s George Springer returned to the lineup last night but was clearly in pain. He is likely to play again tonight with the season on the line, but he could be pulled early if his injuries worsen.
The pitching battle for tonight pits Ohtani vs. Max Scherzer to start. However, as mentioned above, Glasnow is likely to relieve Ohtani early to keep him fresh.
Here are my predictions for Game 7 of the 2025 World Series:

2025 World Series MVP Odds
LA forced Game 7, giving Ohtani another chance to take the mound. The two-way star has jumped back into the favorite position in the World Series MVP odds.
Ohtani’s odds shortened from +220 to -105. Guerrero Jr. faded from the -200 favorite to +130. Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who has earned two wins in this series, is the closest third at +550.
Toronto’s Addison Barger and Trey Yesavage round out the top five at +4000 and +6000, respectively.
Yamamoto was good last night, but he fell short of recreating his dominance from his complete game in Game 2. He likely ended his chances of winning MVP as a result. This MVP race will come down to Ohtani and Guerrero Jr., with the winner being the star who has the best game tonight and leads their team to the title.
Best Bets for the 2025 World Series
Toronto managed just one run in last night’s loss. The good news for Blue Jays fans is that they do not face Yamamoto tonight. Their explosive offense should return, thanks in large part to Vladdy Jr.
Guerrero homered off Ohtani in Game 4, and he will score again tonight. A strong performance from Guerrero Jr. will lead the Blue Jays to a win and help Vladdy claim his first World Series MVP.
Top World Series Prop Bets
Mad Max was on the losing end of the 18-inning historic Game 3. He gets another shot at the Dodgers tonight, and LA has been increasingly aggressive at the plate in the last few games. The Dodgers’ pressure to hit HRs will allow Scherzer to rack up at least five Ks (+330).
With Ohtani’s attention split between pitching and hitting, the Dodgers need the rest of their lineup to get out of their respective slumps. Freddie Freeman was the hero in Game 3, and I think he will step up again tonight. Freeman is listed at 2-1 odds to get two hits in Game 7.
As mentioned above, I think Toronto will win this game, thanks in no small part to Guerrero Jr. Lucky Rebel offers a prop that Guerrero Jr. has 1+ HRs in a winning effort for the Blue Jays. This two-legged prop is available at +600 odds.
