The world’s biggest casinos offer players expansive gaming experiences with slots, table games, sportsbooks, and more. Our list reveals the biggest casinos in the world, and you may be surprised to learn that Las Vegas, NV doesn’t contain a single one.

Keep reading to see which casino tops our list!

1. Casinò di Campione

Casinò di Campione Casino in Italy
  • Casino Floor: 592,000 square feet
  • Slot Machines: 500+
  • Table Games: 56
  • Year Opened: 1917
  • Owned by: The Municipality of Campione

Casinò di Campione is the biggest casino in the world, with a staggering 592,000 square foot gaming floor spread across nine stories. First opened in 1917 as a way to conduct espionage and gather information from foreign diplomats, the Casinò di Campione has had its ups and downs. It was closed from 1919–1933, and again from 2018–2022.

While the casino has the most gaming square footage on earth, its 500 slots and 52 table games is far from the biggest selection there is. This means that there is a lot of empty space within the casino’s game collection. So while Casinò di Campione is technically the biggest casino in the world on paper, it’s more accurate to say that the Venetian Macao and Winstar World casinos hold the real titles.

2. Venetian Macau

The Venetian
  • Casino Floor: 550,000 square feet
  • Slot Machines: 3,400
  • Table Games: 800
  • Year Opened: 2007
  • Owned by: Las Vegas Sands Corporation

The Venetian Macau is the true largest casino on earth. While the Casinò di Campione technically has more square footage, Venetian Macau boasts nearly over 17 times as many slot machines and more than 14 times as many table games. And with the ability to seat 6–9 people at each table, the casino can support up to 7,200 simultaneous table game players alone. The bulk of the casino’s table games are comprised of Sic Bo, Baccarat, and Poker.

The property’s 550,000 square foot casino space is divided into four themed gaming areas: Golden Fish, Imperial House, Red Dragon, and Phoenix. There’s also five private gaming rooms so VIP guests can play in comfort.

3. Winstar World Casino

WinStar World Casino
  • Casino Floor: 519,000 square feet
  • Slot Machines: 8,600
  • Table Games: 100
  • Year Opened: 2003
  • Owned by: Chickasaw Nation

The Winstar World Casino in Thackerville, OK is the largest casino in the United States, and according to some is the largest in the world. This is a reasonable claim too. It has 36,000 less square feet than the Venetian Macau casino, but has more than double the number of slot machines than the Venetian Macau does. It’s worth noting that it only has an eighth of the table games, however.

The casino sits on the Oklahoma-Texas border, and largely serves clients from Texas, as there are only three land-based casinos in the entirety of the Lone Star State.

4. MGM Cotai

MGM Cotai Casino

The property also has five-star spa facilities, meeting spaces, and an enormous garden with over 2,000 plant species and 100,000 individual plants.

The property not only features more than 1,000 slots and 350 table games, there’s also a unique cable car system that shuttles guests between locations like the hotel, casino, shopping area, convention center, and more.

There are three separate casinos in the City of Dreams, as well as 2,220 rooms spread across four hotels, and over 30 restaurants to choose from. It also boasts 175,000 square feet of retail space to explore.

You can also browse the casino’s 800,000 square foot shopping center, take in a show at the 16,000 entertainment arena, and relax and at one of Galaxy Macau’s eight separate hotel properties.
