NFL survivor pools are a popular way to wager on the football season. The best survivor pools in 2025 offer opportunities to win massive, guaranteed prize pools and allow for multiple entries.

This guide will highlight the best NFL survivor contest for the 2025 season. I will tell you how to enter each contest, what you need to do to win, and how much money you are competing for. Additionally, I will provide detailed strategies and tips for winning your survivor pools.

BetOnline NFL Survivor Contest

Icon of football
  • Entry fee: $30
  • Prize pool: $1,000,000
  • Maximum number of entries: 25

BetOnline offers one of the largest survivor contests for the 2025 season. Contestants can compete for their share of the $1,000,000 prize at this top NFL betting site

If entries exceed expectations, the additional funds will be put into the prize pool.

The entry fee for this contest starts at $30, but you can save money by buying in bulk.

  • 1st entry = $30
  • 2nd – 5th entries = $25 each
  • 6th – 10th entries = $20 each
  • 11th – 25th entries = $15 each

To win this contest, you must survive up to 19 weeks of action without making a wrong winner prediction. This season, BetOnline is counting the Thanksgiving and Black Friday games as their own week.

The $1 million prize will be split among any contestants who are left standing at the end of the regular season. Alternatively, if the lone survivor is identified before the season finale, they will take home their prize early.

MyBookie’s $100k Winner-Take-All

Icon of football
  • Entry fee: $15
  • Prize pool: $100,000
  • Maximum number of entries: 50

MyBookie is also offering an exciting, winner-take-all survivor pool for the 2025 NFL season. Entries cost $15 each, and the grand prize is worth $100,000.

There is no discount for buying in bulk, but the average entry price is lower than that of BetOnline. The lower entry price makes this contest better suited for bettors with a smaller bankroll.

For instance, it would cost $455 to purchase the maximum number of entries for BetOnline’s contest. Alternatively, you could bet 30 entries into MyBookie’s contest for just $450. Also, you can buy up to 50 entries into MyBookie’s survivor pool this season.

BetOnline $100,000 ATS Survivor

Icon of football
  • Entry fee: $20
  • Prize pool: $100,000
  • Maximum number of entries: 25

Moneyline picks are not the only way to compete in survivor pools this season. In addition to its $1 Million Survivor Contest, BetOnline is also offering a $100,000 ATS Survivor Pool. For this contest, instead of picking games straight up, you pick against the spread (ATS).

The entry tickets for this contest start at just $20, and you can purchase additional entries at a reduced cost.

  • 1st entry = $20
  • 2nd – 5th entries = $15 each
  • 6th – 25th entries = $10 each

For this survivor pool, you must pick one game against the spread for each week of the season. However, unlike the $1 million contest, the Thanksgiving and Black Friday games are treated as a separate week.

Every contestant who survives to the end of the season splits the $100,000 prize pool. The prize money for this contest does not have a rollover attached. Also, every surviving contestant gets 10 free spins on a random real-money slot game each week.

BetUS High Roller Survivor Pool

  • Entry fee: $500
  • Prize pool: Varies
  • Maximum number of entries: 2

BetUS has multiple options for survivor pools, with entries starting at just $10. However, there are no guaranteed prize pools, so for the biggest prizes, you must enter the $500 buy-in pools.

In addition to your initial entry, each player has one re-buy available for a limited time. However, in the event of a tie, contestants who did not use their rebuy will win over players who did. The last chance to use your rebuy is Week 8.

The lack of a guaranteed prize pool knocked BetUS down on my list of the best survivor contests. However, this competition is an excellent choice for players who only want to manage one survivor pool ticket.

Bovada’s NFL Community Survivor Pool

  • Entry fee: Free
  • Prize pool: $5,000
  • Maximum number of entries: 1

Finally, Bovada has an NFL Community Survivor Pool this season. Any member in good standing is eligible to enter the contest.

To participate, simply enter your picks in the weekly survivor pool poll in the community section. You only have until 8:00 pm ET on Thursday to submit your picks each week. Failing to pick a team will disqualify you from the contest.

Since entry for this contest is free, the prize pool is much smaller than others on my list. However, the winner of this free survivor pool contest will take home $5,000 in bonus funds.

NFL Survivor Pool Strategy

Winning a season-long survivor pool is easier said than done. Here are three suggestions to help you formulate a winning survivor pool strategy.

Save “Elite” Teams for Late in the Season

The key to Survivor is picking a winning team each week, but you cannot select the same team twice in a given season. With that in mind, it is essential not to exhaust the best teams early. Try to save the “elite” teams for late in the season, especially heavy bye weeks. History is full of elite teams getting clipped early, so check out the biggest NFL point-spread upsets.

Fade the Public

Another tip for making your survivor strategy is to do your best to fade the public. Staying away from the most popular pick in each week can help you avoid upsets that topple other players. For instance, Cincinnati was one of the most popular Week 1 picks in 2024, and their loss to New England devastated players who trailed the public.

Buy Multiple Entries to Diversify Your Picks

When you can afford it, buying multiple entries into a survivor contest is almost always a good idea. Having more than one entry allows you to diversify your picks and increases your chances of surviving until the end of the season. This method prevents you from being eliminated from one upset in a given week.

Helpful NFL Survivor Pool Tips

Competing in survivor pools can be a lot of fun, but they can also be overwhelming for new players. Here are three tips for new players looking to join survivor contests in 2025.

Prioritize Guaranteed Prize Pools

First and foremost, prioritize guaranteed prize pools whenever possible. Winning a survivor pool takes a lot of effort, so it is best to know exactly how much money you are competing for. Otherwise, you risk winning a pool but earning significantly less money than you had previously thought.

Look for Deals on Entries

Another tip for NFL survivor pools is to find contests that offer reduced prizes for additional entries. As mentioned above, you want to purchase as many entries as you can afford to maximize your chances of winning. Finding sportsbooks that reward you for buying in bulk makes it easier to purchase multiple entries.

Be Ready to Adapt Week-to-Week

NFL survivor contests are all about adapting from week to week. Injuries, suspensions, and breakout stars can drastically change the outcome of games throughout the season. So, be ready to stay up-to-date on the latest news and change your game picking strategy accordingly.

NFL Survivor Picks for Week 1

Icon of football
  • Arizona Cardinals
  • Denver Broncos
  • Jacksonville Jaguars

Denver made the playoffs last year, but they are not an elite team in the crowded AFC, making them a good early-season pick. The Broncos are also the heaviest favorite of Week 1 against rookie QB Cam Ward.

Arizona and Jacksonville also face favorable opponents against the Saints and Panthers, respectively. New Orleans could be the worst team in the league, so pick against them early and often. Carolina, on the other hand, should be improved, but Jacksonville has the advantage at quarterback and wide receiver.

Denver, Arizona, and Jacksonville are all great options to bet on in Week 1, and they are solid survivor picks as well.

How to Win at NFL Survivor in 2025

NFL survivor pool contests task bettors with picking a winning team each week. One misstep and your ticket is eliminated. See the guide above to learn more about these competitions, including strategy and general tips for NFL survivor contests.

BetOnline is the top place for competing in NFL survivor pools this season. It offers two contests, moneyline and ATS formats, for members to choose from.
