There are three ranked vs. ranked matchups this week, including: #9 Notre Dame vs. #23 Pittsburgh, #11 Oklahoma vs. #4 Alabama, and #10 Texas vs. #5 Georgia. The Fighting Irish (-11.0), Crimson Tide (-6.0), and Bulldogs (-6.0) are favored in these highly anticipated matchups.
#21 Tennessee, which has lost two of its last three, is the biggest favorite of the weekend. The Volunteers are laying 39.5 points against New Mexico State.
The only AP Top 25 not playing this week is #13 Vanderbilt.

Straight Up/ML Picks
Notre Dame, which improved to #9, is a -450 road favorite against the #23 Panthers, who are led by true freshman QB Mason Heintschel. The Irish defense, which has allowed just 10 points in back-to-back games, will shut down Heintschel. ND running back Jeremiyah Love has a chance to make his Heisman case against a Pitt defense allowing fewer than 81 rushing YPG.
#22 Cincinnati is a -227 favorite at home against the visiting Arizona Wildcats. The Bearcats are 5-1 in Big 12 play and could make the conference title game if they win out. Cincinnati had a bye week to recover from its loss to Utah, and it will get back in the win column this week with a victory over Arizona.
A third favorite who should win outright this week is #17 USC, which takes on Iowa. The Hawkeyes are unranked in the AP poll, but they are listed at #21 in the CFP rankings. Iowa’s lack of a passing attack will cost it this week against the Trojans.
Best ATS Picks
#19 Louisville is laying 3.0 points at home against the visiting Clemson Tigers. This has been a season to forget for Clemson, which is 4-5 and 3-4 in ACC play. The Cardinals’ two losses this season both came in OT, but they should not need extra time to beat Clemson this week.
The Crimson Tide is favored by 6.0 points at home against the visiting Sooners. Currently ranked fourth in the AP, Alabama needs this important SEC win to keep pace with Texas A&M. Alabama is undefeated in SEC play this season, and they will cover the spread while picking up their fifth win against a ranked team this season.
#5 Georgia is also searching for another ranked win as it hosts the #10 Texas Longhorns. Gunner Stockton has outplayed Arch Manning this season, and having the edge at QB will help the Bulldogs cover the spread. Georgia will use its rushing attack, which averages over 60 YPG more than Texas’s, to control the clock and win the game.
Top CFB Upset Picks
Appalachian State is a +800 underdog against James Madison, which debuted at #24 in the AP this week. The Mountaineers have one of the top passing attacks in the country, averaging 288.2 passing YPG. If AJ Swann can minimize his interceptions, he will lead App State to the upset win.
TCU is listed at +154 odds this weekend against #12 BYU. The Cougars dropped four spots in the AP after failing to cover their Week 11 odds in their 29-7 loss to Texas Tech. BYU’s offense will struggle again this week against a TCU defense that allows under 25 PPG, and the Horned Frogs will get the upset.
Top Week 12 College Football Prop Bets
#3 Texas A&M takes on South Carolina this weekend. Reuben Owens leads the Aggies with 542 rushing yards but is only third on the team with five rushing scores. Owens will get his sixth rushing score against a Gamecocks team allowing over 150 rushing YPG.
UCF is listed at over/under 12.5 points scored against #8 Texas Tech this week. The Red Raiders have allowed 12.6 PPG this season, the third-fewest in the country. Texas Tech’s fierce defense will hold UCF under 12.5 points.
