Among the most anticipated matchups of the weekend are the two ranked vs. ranked showdowns. The head-to-head matchups of ranked teams this week are #8 BYU vs. #9 Texas Tech (-10.0) and  #3 Texas A&M (-7.0) vs. #19 Missouri.

Other matchups to watch include #1 Ohio State (-29.0) vs. Purdue and #2 Indiana (-14.5) vs. Penn State. The Buckeyes blew out the Nittany Lions last week, beating Penn State 38-14. Indiana must put on a similar performance against Penn State this week if it wants to overtake the Buckeyes for the top spot in the rankings.

The only matchup featuring a ranked team that is unavailable for betting at the time of writing is The Citadel vs. #7 Ole Miss.

There are several AP Top 25 teams on byes this week, including:

Best Week 11 College Football Picks

Here are my top college football predictions for Week 11.

Straight Up/ML Picks

The #5 Georgia Bulldogs did not cover their Week 10 odds, but they did escape the swamp with a 24-20 win. Now, Georgia (7-1) is a -325 favorite against Mississippi State (5-4). All four of Mississippi State’s losses have come against SEC opponents, and they will drop their fifth conference game this week as they lose against their fellow Bulldogs.

#3 Texas A&M (8-0) is the highest-ranked team in the SEC. The Aggies are -270 favorites to get their sixth conference win against the #19 Missouri Tigers. Mizzou is 1-2 in its last three games, falling to Alabama and Vanderbilt, and will lose its third game to a ranked SEC opponent this weekend.

The #6 Oregon Ducks are -250 road favorites this week against the Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium. Iowa is not ranked in the AP Top 25, but the Hawkeyes did receive 71 votes, the most of any unranked team, and are #20 in the first CFP rankings of the year. Oregon is the better team, though, and the Ducks will improve their playoff position with a win over the Hawkeyes this week.

Best ATS Picks

The #2 Indiana Hoosiers continue their quest to dethrone the top-ranked Buckeyes. Indiana is laying 14.5 points against a Penn State team that Ohio State beat by 24 last week. The Hoosiers will do their best to top that margin of victory, easily covering the 14.5-point spread.

#8 BYU is a 10.0-point road underdog this weekend against #9 Texas Tech in a battle of the top teams in the Big 12. The Red Raiders will have a massive home-field advantage and average 43.6 PPG, fourth-most in college football. BYU is no slouch, putting up a respectable 36.3 PPG, and the Cougars will keep the score within single digits even if they lose.

Speaking of highly productive offenses, the #12 Virginia Cavaliers average 36.4 PPG. Virginia is laying 7.0 points at home against Wake Forest (24.3 PPG). The Cavs will pick up their eighth consecutive win and cover the 7.0-point spread at home.

Top CFB Upset Picks

Tulane (6-2) is one of the best unranked teams in the country and is 3-1 in the American Conference. Memphis is currently #22 in the AP, but the Tigers did not make the Top 25 in the CFP rankings. Tulane will get the road upset this week against a Memphis team that is only two games removed from a loss to UAB.

Auburn is also an underdog this week at +195 odds against #15 Vanderbilt. The Commodores’ defense struggled last week, giving up 34 points in Vandy’s loss against Texas. Auburn has shown flashes this season, scoring 31+ in each of its four wins, and the Tigers will top 30 in an upset win this week.

LSU (+290) has lost three of its last four and fallen out of the Top 25 entirely. The Tigers face a familiar foe this week in the #4 Alabama Crimson Tide. Alabama is a great team, but they are not perfect, and the familiarity between these schools makes LSU a live dog in this game.

Top Week 11 College Football Prop Bets

Icon of football
  • Makai Lemon (USC) anytime TD scorer (-139) – Bet now!
  • #1 Ohio State over 21.5 points in the 1st half (+103) – Bet now!
  • #10 Notre Dame -11.5 in the 1st half (-157) – Bet now!

Makai Lemon leads #20 USC in receptions (50), receiving yards (776), and receiving TDs (6). The 5’11 Junior is listed at -139 odds to score this weekend against Northwestern. Lemon has been held scoreless the last two games, but his TD drought will end this weekend.

The top-ranked Buckeyes must keep playing dominant football to stay atop the rankings. Ohio State is laying 29.0 points against Purdue this week. The Buckeyes should score early and often, allowing them to cover a first-half total score prop of over 21.5 points.

#1 Notre Dame can cruise to a playoff berth by winning out against a schedule loaded with unranked opponents. They face Navy this weekend and are favored by 26.0 points. The Fighting Irish will win both halves, covering by 11.5 in the first half on Saturday.
