The Ravens (-8.0), Lions (-8.5), Packers (-13.0), Chargers (-9.5), and Rams (-14.0) are all laying more than a touchdown this week. Detroit, Green Bay, and the LA Rams are at home. However, the Ravens and Chargers are heavy favorites on the road.
Denver and Houston have the smallest spread of the weekend, with the Texans laying 1.0 points at home. The Broncos are underdogs, but they are listed at -108 on the moneyline. The game opened as a pick’em, and the line could easily shift again.
Four teams, the Bucs, Eagles, Jets, and Browns, have a bye this weekend.

Week 9 NFL Picks
Here are the bets I recommend taking in Week 9 at the top NFL betting sites this weekend.
Best Week 9 NFL ML Picks (Straight Up)
Chicago’s offense no-showed in its game against the Ravens last week, putting up its fewest points of the season. The Bears have a great opportunity to bounce back this week against the Bengals. Stopping Ja’Marr Chase will be easier said than done, but Chicago’s offense will take advantage of a weak Bengals’ defense.
Jonathan Taylor has been unstoppable this season, posting a league-high in total yards (1,056) and TDs (14). Taylor and the Colts face a Steelers team that has struggled to stop opposing offenses all year. The Steelers lived down to my expectations when I picked against them last week, and Pittsburgh will lose again this weekend.
San Francisco had a disappointing showing last Sunday, losing 26-15 in Houston. The 49ers should get back in the win column on Sunday against the Giants. New York’s best two offensive players, Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo, are both out for the year, and the G-Men simply do not have the horses to keep pace with San Fran on Sunday.
Week 9 NFL Picks ATS
The Chargers dominated the Vikings on TNF, giving them momentum and extra time to recover heading into Week 8. LA is laying 9.5 points on the road against the Titans (1-7). Six of Tennessee’s seven losses have been by double digits, and that streak will continue this week against LA.
Carolina dropped its first home game last week in a blowout loss to the Bills. The Panthers are 13.0-point underdogs this week against the Packers in Green Bay. There is no doubt the Packers are the better team, but their uneven offense will keep them from covering 13.0 points this week.
New Orleans has officially pulled the plug on the Spencer Rattler experiment, and rookie Tyler Shough will get his first start this week. Changing QBs can provide a spark, and that is exactly what the Saints’ offense needs. Shough will lose his debut, but he can help the Saints cover +14.0 against a Rams team that scores 25.0 PPG.
Best Week 9 NFL Upset Picks
Denver has quietly racked up a five-game winning streak, one of the longest active streaks in the NFL. The Broncos hit the road this week against a Texans (3-4) team that has won three of its last four games. This will be a defensive battle, and the Broncos’ offense is more trustworthy than the Texans’.
Atlanta (+200) suffered one of the most shocking losses of Week 8, losing at home to Miami (2-6) by 24 points. The Falcons’ hot-and-cold offense has a tough test against the Patriots (6-2) on Sunday. However, if Atlanta’s pass defense can return to form, the Falcons can take down the Pats this week.
NFL Week 9 Predictions
Detroit is a -485 favorite this week against the division rival, Minnesota. The Vikings’ starting QB is up in the air after backup Carson Wentz had season-ending shoulder surgery.
The Lions, on the other hand, have one of the best offenses in the NFL, generating over 350 YPG and 30.7 PPG. Minnesota’s defense struggled against the Chargers on TNF, and they are in for another long day against the Lions. Detroit will win this NFC North matchup.
The Jaguars are 4-3 despite averaging under 21.0 PPG this season. Jacksonville must win this week against the Raiders to keep pace with the Colts in the AFC South.
Both teams are coming off a bye, but a week off will not change the fact that Las Vegas has the second-worst scoring offense (14.7 PPG) this season. Geno Smith leads the NFL with 10 INTs, and the Jags have the second-most INTS (10) this year. Jacksonville’s defense will lead it to a win this week.
