UFC 320 odds tell us that the October 4 event is going to be a real spectacle. No surprise there, as there are two title fights on the card: Ankalaev vs. Pereira and Dvalishvili vs. Sandhagen.
MMA fans should love this event, and so should bettors — I’ve got some interesting UFC 320 picks for you.
I’m not bragging, but I did very well with my picks the last time around (Noche UFC 3). I went 10-for-13, with 100% of my best bets winning.

The fighter with the shortest odds is Ateba Gautier with -750, followed by Veronica Hardy at -600. They’re both fighting early in the evening on October 4. Meanwhile, the situation with fights on the main card is a bit different.
The UFC 320 main card odds are much less lopsided, with Merab Dvalishvili being the biggest favorite at -385 in the co-main event. In the main event, Magomed Ankalaev is -218, while the closest odds are in the Prochazka vs. Rountree fight, in which the Czech fighter is a -182 favorite.
UFC 320 Main Event Preview: Magomed Ankalaev vs. Alex Pereira 2
The last time I previewed a UFC event, I backed the underdog in the main event. I was right to do so: Diego Lopes won at +212. Should I do the same again?
The underdog in the UFC 320 headliner is Alex Pereira (12-3), who just six months ago was thought to be invincible. But after going 5-0 in the Light Heavyweight Division, he lost the 5-round war to Magomed Ankalaev.
“Poatan” entered that fight as a -120 favorite but got outplayed by his Dagestani rival. Ankalaev out-struck him by 18 significant strikes.
That margin doesn’t sound huge on paper, but it was enough to sway the judges. Ankalaev pressed forward, controlled the clinch, and wore Pereira down, leaving the Brazilian running on fumes when he needed a late knockout.
This time, Pereira’s best shot is to stay long with his kicks and keep Ankalaev from walking him down. Still, he has to be ready for another grueling five-rounder. My guess is that he will be ready.

Best Bets for UFC 320
Merab Dvalishvili hasn’t lost since 2018, building a 20-4 record and living up to his nickname, “The Machine.” He thrives on relentless wrestling pressure, averaging 5.84 takedowns per 15 minutes while pushing a pace few can handle.
Across the cage, Cory Sandhagen brings elite striking, landing 5.06 significant strikes per minute, but his wrestling remains a liability. With just 63% takedown defense and only 1.28 shots per 15 minutes, he’s struggled against strong grapplers before — and you can’t get stronger in the 135lb division than Merab.
Second on my list of top UFC 320 bets is Ateba Gautier, a 6’4 middleweight who looks shredded. I watched the training footage of him and Sean Strickland, where the former champ looked like a slightly overweight uncle who smokes two packs a day.
Gautier is in great shape, and his record of 8-1 (the only loss was by a split decision) makes me think he’s gonna steamroll his UFC 320 opponent. I predict the same for Veronica Hardy.
She’s 9-5-1 overall, and since getting married to UFC legend Dan Hardy, she’s 3-1. The loss in question was by decision last November, and she’s determined to get back to her winning ways ASAP.
She’s fighting Brogan Walker, a 37-year-old who’s 0-2 in the UFC, and who hasn’t fought in two and a half years.
Top Upset Picks for UFC 320
I’ve already explained why I think Alex Pereira will upset the odds in the UFC 320 main event. Now, it’s time to present you with my two other upset picks: Khalil Rountree Jr. and Josh Emmett.
Rountree was a chubby kid, and Muay Thai helped him get in shape. From there, he moved to MMA, where he’s built an impressive résumé over the years, finishing names like Paul Craig, Gokhan Saki, Modestas Bukauskas, Karl Roberson, Chris Daukaus, and Anthony Smith (all by KO/TKO).
That run earned him a crack at Alex Pereira’s belt in 2024. Rountree pushed hard but fell short late in Round 4, stopped by “Poatan.”
He didn’t stay down for long, though. By summer 2025, he rebounded with a smart, unanimous decision win over Jamahal Hill. Against Prochazka, I expect a similar approach.
I predict something similar for the Emmett vs. Zalal fight. While I do understand why the Moroccan is the betting favorite (he’s 17-5-1 with 7 straight wins), I think Emmett can win this war.
My prediction is that he’ll fight hard for the full 15 minutes, landing plenty of body shots along the way. That probably won’t be enough to get a knockout win, but if he hurts him enough, he might win by decision.
Full UFC 320 Predictions
I think UFC 320 will be an interesting event with some big surprises. My prediction is that Pereira will upset the odds, and so will Rountree and possibly even Emmett. When it comes to my “sure bets,” I’m going with Dvalishvili, Gautier, and Hardy.
In all other fights, I’m backing the betting favorites as well, but I’m not 100% confident all of them will actually win.
The biggest question mark is hovering above Patchy Mix, who’s fighting Polish BJJ king Jakub Wiklacz. This is going to be more of a grappling contest than an MMA fight, so anything can happen.
I’m also not convinced Joe Pyfer will get a win either. Sure, he’s a fantastic striker with punching power greater than Francis Ngannou’s, but Abus Magomedov is a tricky opponent.

Come Saturday, October 4, I’ll be putting my money on Alex Pereira. My advice for you is to do the same.
“Poatan” is a true legend of UFC, who needs to get his belt back. He’ll take things much more seriously than the last time, the result of which will be getting revenge on Ank.
I think we’re entering an era of underdogs. In the Noche UFC 3 main event, the fighter with +212 odds won, and I predict we’ll see another dog winning.
If that’s too risky for your taste, there are plenty of alternatives: Merab Dvalishvili, Ateba Gautier, Veronica Hardy, etc. Sure, they all come with very short UFC 320 odds, but you can always combine those bets into a parlay.
