With an expanded schedule comes an increase in betting opportunities. Keep reading to see the updated lines for every 2025 NFL Christmas Day game. I break down the current markets and give my predictions for each game.

Latest 2025 NFL Christmas Day Game Odds

Lucky Rebel provided the following NFL Christmas Day odds for this year’s matchups.

Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders

TeamPoint SpreadMoneylineGame Total
Dallas Cowboys-6.5 (-107)-300Over 51.0 (-110)
Washington Commanders+6.5 (-114)+230Under 51.0 (-110)

The Cowboys’ defense no-showed their home date with the Chargers in Week 16, and the team lost in a 34-17 blowout. It was the Cowboys’ third straight loss, and their third consecutive game allowing at least 34 points.

Washington also lost last week, falling 29-18 to the Eagles in the first game of Saturday’s doubleheader.

The Commanders are 6.5-point home underdogs at top NFL betting sites this week against their divisional rival. When these teams met in Week 7, the Cowboys won in a 44-22 blowout.

Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings

TeamPoint SpreadMoneyline Game Total
Detroit Lions-6.0 (-109)-270Over 44.0 (-113)
Minnesota Vikings+6.0 (-112)+212Under 44.0 (-107)

Another divisional matchup scheduled for Christmas Day pits the Lions (8-7) against the Vikings (7-8) in Minnesota. The Lions are coming off back-to-back losses and are desperate for a win to keep their slim playoff hopes alive.

Minnesota, on the other hand, has already been eliminated from the playoffs. However, the Vikings would love to play spoiler by beating the Lions again and eliminating Detroit from the playoffs.

Detroit is a 6.0-point road favorite in this Christmas Day matchup.

The Vikings beat the Lions 27-24 when they met in Detroit in Week 9. Sweeping the Lions will be easier said than done, though, as Minnesota is unlikely to have J.J. McCarthy after the quarterback hurt his throwing hand Sunday.

Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs

TeamPoint SpreadMoneylineGame Total
Denver Broncos-13.0 (-108)-850Over 37.0 (-114)
Kansas City Chiefs+13.0 (-112)+550Under 37.0 (-107)

The prime time matchup between the Broncos and Chiefs was supposed to be the highlight of this year’s Christmas Day slate. However, after losing their starting QBs to knee injuries in back-to-back weeks, the Chiefs are heavy underdogs in this AFC West matchup.

Denver’s 11-game winning streak was snapped last week in its 34-20 loss to Jacksonville. Now, the Broncos are laying 13.0 points against the Chiefs in KC.

The Chiefs’ offense has struggled all season, and losing Patrick Mahomes did not help matters. With Gardner Minshew joining Mahomes on IR, KC will start Chris Oladokun against a Denver defense looking to reestablish itself as the best in the league.

Full 2025 NFL Christmas Day Schedule

Icon of football
  • Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders at 1:00 p.m. EDT on Netflix
  • Detroit Lions vs. Minnesota Vikings at 4:30 p.m. EDT on Netflix
  • Denver Broncos vs. Kansas City Chiefs at 8:15 p.m. EDT on Prime Video

Detroit and Denver are both road favorites looking to win and advance their playoff dreams. The Cowboys are also road favorites, and a win over their division rivals could help save some jobs in Dallas.

Their opponents, Washington, Minnesota, and Kansas City, have all been eliminated from the playoffs. They are all also starting backup QBs on Christmas Day.

Two of the three Christmas Day matchups have major playoff implications. If the Lions lose, they are out of the postseason. Denver has clinched a spot in the playoffs, but it is still battling for the AFC West title and the number one seed in the conference.

The first two games are Netflix exclusives and feature multiple special guests, including Kelly Clarkson, Snoop Dogg, KPOP Demon Hunters, and Lainey Wilson.

Denver and Kansas City finish their season series with a Christmas Day matchup on Prime Video. Amazon has not announced any special guests for its prime-time matchup.

Best Bets for NFL Christmas Day 2025

Icon of football
  • Cowboys vs. Commanders Over 51.0 (-110) – Bet now!
  • Detroit Lions -6.0 (-109) – Bet now!
  • Denver Broncos -13.0 (-108) – Bet now!

Washington has lost nine of its last 10 games, and the Commanders’ defense has allowed 26.9 PPG this season, sixth-most in the NFL. Dallas scores 28.3 PPG, but they also allow 30.3 PPG, second-most in the league. If the Commanders’ offense can hold up its end of the bargain, this game will total over 51.0 points scored.

The Lions lost back-to-back games for the first time since 2022, and Detroit must win out to have a chance at making the playoffs. Minnesota beat them the first time they played, but the Vikings are likely to be without their starting QB after McCarthy was injured on Sunday. Max Brosmer was shut out in his lone start this year, so Detroit should be able to cover the 6.0 points against the Vikings this week.

Likewise, Denver should cover as a heavy favorite at -13.0. Chris Oladokun, a former seventh-round pick, has never started a game and has appeared in just two games during his four-year career. The Broncos’ defense should shut down the KC offense, allowing Denver to cover the massive spread this week.

2025 NFL Christmas Day Predictions

Icon of football
  • Cowboys beat Commanders (-300) – Bet now!
  • Lions beat Vikings (-270) – Bet now!
  • Broncos beat Chiefs (-850) – Bet now!

After climbing back into playoff contention, the Cowboys have lost three straight games and been eliminated from the postseason. Despite their struggles on both sides of the ball, Dallas is a better team than Washington, which has lost nine of its last 10. The Cowboys should secure the season sweep of Washington this year.

Detroit’s playoff hopes are hanging by a thread after its loss to Pittsburgh. The Lions cannot control their fate entirely, but they can improve their odds by beating the Vikings this week. Minnesota, led by backup Max Brosmer, will not beat Detroit this week.

Likewise, the Chiefs are largely dead in the water offensively due to their quarterback injuries. Denver has one of the best defenses in the league, and KC has little to no chance to beat the Broncos with their third-string QB starting this week.

Top NFL Prop Bets for 2025 Christmas Day

Icon of football
  • Dallas Cowboys 27.5 points scored (-159) – Bet now!
  • Detroit Lions -7.5 (+122) – Bet now!
  • Kansas City Chiefs under 12.5 points scored (-116) – Bet now!

Dallas is listed at over/under 27.5 points scored this week against the Commanders. Washington allows 26.9 PPG, and the Cowboys score 28.3 PPG. After an embarrassing performance last week, the Cowboys’ offense will look to score 30+ this week against a weak Commanders defense.

The Lions are laying 6.0 points in Minnesota, but Detroit should win by more than a touchdown. You can get plus-money by betting the Lions -7.5. Minnesota was shut out the last time Brosmer started, so the Vikings are unlikely to keep up with the Lions’ offense this time around.

Kansas City is listed at over/under 12.5 points scored this week against Denver. The Chiefs have scored 13+ points once in their last three games. An Oladokun-led offense will struggle to hit double-digits against a Broncos’ defense that was embarrassed last week.
