Best Nobel Prize Betting Sites in 2022

Best Nobel Prize Betting Sites

There are dozens of betting sites on the internet. Every single one of them is happy to take your action, unless you’re a consistent winner. In which case, some sites are happy to send you somewhere else.

But not all these sites are worth joining. In fact, there are some sites that are actually dangerous.

“Dangerous” betting sites make up the minority, but they do exist. Then, there are all the average betting sites you can join.

We don’t know about you, but average isn’t good enough. No, we want to only join the top-rated betting sites, the very best sites for betting on the Nobel Prize online. But how do you find one?

Well, we found many of our favorites through firsthand experience. We’ve spent many years gambling online for real money, and that includes betting on markets like the Nobel Prize. So, we endorse many of the betting sites we use ourselves.

But those aren’t the only sites we recommend, though. We also recommend online betting sites that we discovered after lots of testing, research, and comparing sites head-to-head.

Here are some of the things we look for, test, and compare.

  • If the betting site has a current gaming license
  • Whether they have a positive reputation (they’re not on any blacklists)
  • How quickly they pay out winnings
  • If they have any welcome bonuses, free bet offers, and rebate deals
  • How well their betting platform is designed and if it’s easy to use
  • If they offer mobile betting and if they’re compatible with all major mobile devices
  • The banking method each site accepts, their banking limits, and if they charge fees on deposits and/or withdrawals.
  • If the betting site allows winning bettors or if they ban them from their platform or give them different odds (dual lines)
  • How much you can bet or win on novelty bets (like the Nobel Prize)

We have found that these things have the biggest impact on the quality of a betting site and how enjoyable they are to use.

So, while you can try to find a betting site on your own through years of experience (like us), just know that this is the slower and riskier process.

A faster approach, and smarter bet, is to join one of the top Nobel Prize betting sites we recommend. We’ve vetted each one, so we know with 100% certainty that these are the best sites for betting on the Nobel Prize online.

But why not find out for yourself? Join one of the betting sites we recommend and start placing your Nobel Prize bets today.

Tips for Betting on the Nobel Prize Online

It’s tough to make money from betting on the Nobel Prize because there isn’t much or any data or patterns for you to use.

The good news is that most online sportsbooks and bookmakers post odds for the Nobel Peace Prize, so you at least have an idea of the current events and people you need to pay attention to each year.

That’s our biggest tip, too, staying on top of current events to see who or what embodies what the Nobel Peace Prize represents. And that is someone who has, “done the most or the best work for fraternity between nations, for the abolition or reduction of standing armies and for the holding and promotion of peace congresses.”

But you don’t want to stop at current events. There are a few other things you can do to increase your odds of making winning Nobel Prize bets.

There are a few things we suggest you start with first.

Shop for the Best Nobel Prize Odds

The Nobel Prize doesn’t announce who the nominees are, so betting sites that offer Nobel Prize odds have to guess who they think can win and how likely they are to win.

Since this is subjective, the Nobel Prize betting sites will be all over the place with their odds. So, don’t take the first line you see. Shop around and ensure that you’re getting the best price available.

Keep in mind that you’ll need at least two betting site accounts to use this tip. But we recommend you have anywhere from three to five to give yourself the best chances of finding the best Nobel Prize odds.

Take Advantage of Betting Promotions

It’s tough to make money betting on the Nobel Prize, so why not take advantage of a betting promotion or two to see if you can’t offset some of your risk?

Here are a couple of offers we recommend you try to find.

Deposit Bonus
This is an offer in which the betting site matches a percentage of your deposit. For example, you can get $1 for every $1 you deposit (from a typical bonus).
This is an offer in which the betting site will give you a percentage of your net losses for the last week. For example, if you lost $100 one week and the betting site offers an 8% rebate, you’ll get $8 back.
Free Bets
Many betting sites offer free bets. With these offers you can make a bet and if that bet loses, the betting site will reimburse you.

Keep in mind that not every betting site offers these promotions and, even if they do, they might not let you use it for betting on the Nobel Peace Prize.

Our betting site reviews will tell you for sure. You can also read the bookmaker’s promotion terms and conditions.

Bet on Multiple People

One way to hedge your bets is to make bets on multiple potential winners. Of course, you don’t want to bet on so many people or make so many longshot bets that, if you lose, you walk away with nothing.

But if you can get a good price (even if it means wagering at different online betting sites), you can make multiple selections. This will increase your chances of making a winning bet. Just make sure you do the math first, so that any bet you make has the chance to help you breakeven or turn a (small) profit.

Look for the Most Common Choice

The Nobel Prize doesn’t announce nominees so betting sites have to predict who think will win. No one knows who will win for sure, but odds are, many betting sites will have similar predictions.

Why not find the common predictions between them and, if you can get a good price, consider betting your money on them?

Find Value

You might be wondering, “How do I make money betting on the Nobel Peace Prize?” The truth is that some of it is pure luck. No one even knows who the nominees are, so you’re betting blind to some extent. You might bet on someone or something that wasn’t even nominated for a prize.

But there is a skill element, and you can find bets that you believe have value.

A bet that has value is simply a bet where you feel the odds are higher than they “should” be.

We’ll give you an example so you can see what we mean.

Take the 2020 Nobel Peace Prize. Many betting sites had the Black Live Matter movement, President Donald Trump, and Microsoft Co-Founder Bill Gates priced at +1600.

Given what the Peace Prize stands for, and him being a controversial choice, we could automatically remove President Trump from the list. He may be a longshot to win.

Now, between BLM or Bill Gates, who would you think is more likely to win? We’d probably lean more towards BLM, given the George Floyd protests that took place throughout 2020.

So, let’s look at the odds (+1600). You have to ask yourself if you think that BLM has more than a 6% chance of winning (your breakeven point at this price).

If you do, then this line is underpriced. The more you think that they will win, the higher their chance.  And the more valuable the bet is, the more likely you should bet on it.

That’s how you find bets with value, and that’s how you make money betting on the Nobel Prize.

What Is the Nobel Prize?

Inventor Alfred Nobel came up with the idea for the Nobel Prize after reading his own (premature) obituary titled, “The merchant of death is dead,” referring to one of his many inventions — dynamite.

Concerned about his legacy, Nobel stated in his will that he wanted his fortune to be used as an award, recognizing “those who, during the preceding year, shall have conferred the greatest benefit on mankind.”

The Nobel Committee presented the first award in 1901, five years after his death. Today, they give the Nobel Prize to up to three people in each of the following six categories.

  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • Medicine
  • Literature
  • Peace
  • Economics Sciences

Every winner of the Nobel Prize receives a medal, diploma, and $986,000 in prize money.

The Nobel Prize Nomination Process

The nomination process takes more than a year. There are four organizations that award the prizes.

  • Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Economics)
  • Karolinska Institute (Medicine)
  • Swedish Academy (Literature)
  • Norwegian Nobel Committee (Peace)

Each organization sends nomination forms to academics, governments, and former and current members of the Nobel Committee. They send the forms out approximately 16 months in advance.

The deadline for the nominations and proposals for why someone should win are due the following January. The Nobel Committee doesn’t announce who the nominees are, and the winners aren’t announced until December 10th.

All nomination records are sealed for 50 years after that year’s awards. This creates a tricky situation for betting sites and bettors, as you must guess who you think deserves a Nobel Award.

This makes it harder to make profitable bets. We’ll give you some tips in a few minutes that will hopefully make it a little easier.

Past Nobel Peace Prize Past Winners
