Lost Vegas Slot Review
Lost Vegas is a game set in the midst of a zombie apocalypse, and where better for that to happen than in the gambling capital of the world: Las Vegas! Micro-gaming is the brains behind this 5reel game with 243 ways to win and it is certainly a visually impressive slot game. This game gives you the option to play the base game in either Zombie or Survivor mode.
The Survivor symbols feature a mafia type, and aggressive looking golfer and a blonde with a baseball bat. Over on the Zombie side you can choose to play with symbols like a ghoulish nurse, agruesome looking Elvis impersonator or a zombified Vegas show-girl.
Random Acts of Zombies
Once you start spinning you will notice that the Lost Vegas logo is the wild symbol here, replacing all except Scatters. During the base game you can also randomly trigger one of two bonusfeatures after any spin, which keeps you on the edge of your seat. The first of these is the Zombie Fist of Cash, which involves no less than a giant zombie fist bursting up in front of the reelsclutching a wad of cash which you get to keep. The second random element is the Blackout Feature. This involves the screen going dark after a spin, only to reappear again highlighting anycharacter symbols. For each character which was on the reels you win a random amount of cash, so the more the better.
Zombie or Survivor?
Bonus rounds are triggered by the appearance of three Scatter symbols which look like toxic warning labels. The bonus round is different depending on whether you are playing in Zombie or Survivormode. Note that you can also unlock a bonus round if there is at least one Scatter symbol on screen when the Blackout Feature kicks in. In Survivor mode the bonus round is called Stash Featurefree spins, where you keep spinning until all the low value 10 to A symbols have been removed from the reels. In Zombie mode it’s called the Infection feature, where each reel in turn becomesinfected. When a reel is infected stacked wilds will appear on that reel until the free spins end, but when all 5 reels become infected the free spins are over.
The Lost Vegas game is a medium variance slot with a return to player of over 95%, which is respectable if nothing out of this world. However, the game really is enjoyable to play thanks to thedifferent game modes and you will find yourself trying out both of them to see which bonus game proves more rewarding. Throw the random bonuses into the mix and you’ve got yourself a prettyexciting game. Despite the rather gruesome theme this slot doesn’t turn into a Walking Dead gore-fest, but keeps it light and comedic for the most part thanks to the humorously drawn characters. The Las Vegas backdrop allows the creators to enjoy themselves with their illustrations and animations, and Micro-gaming has come up with a thoroughly entertaining ‘zom-com’ slot game.
