InterCasino Review

InterCasino is unique.

They’re unique because it’s not often you come across an online casino who’s been around since the start of the internet, and it’s even rarer to find a trustworthy casino who’s been in business that long.

Most gambling sites from back then have gone out of business for various reasons. Often, it’s because they turned to the dark side.

But not InterCasino. The force is strong with them. They have a solid reputation, and they’ve won several industry awards for things like:

  • Customer Service
  • Promotions
  • Technology
  • Innovation
  • Payouts

And more!

Basically, they excel in all the areas we care about. Can you see now why we’re so excited?

Now, not everything was above par. There are things InterCasino can do better. And true to how we do things here, we mentioned what those are in our review. We want our readers to have the info they need to make an educated decision about where to play in 2020.

With that in mind, let’s jump into the review.

Basic Information

InterCasino has been online since 1996. That’s something you just don’t see much of nowadays. Most casinos last a couple years at most.

Nowadays InterCasino runs a tight and strictly regulated casino. They have licenses through the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKCC), and the Danish Gambling Authority (DGA).

Things weren’t always so “strict,” though.

InterCasino was started by founder William “Billy” Scott. Scott was a former bookmaker in Ohio, and this got him into a little bit of trouble with the US government.

In 1998, he was charged by US prosecutors for illegally taking sports bets online. Unsurprisingly, this marked a change in InterCasino’s ownership.

That was the extent of their troubles. However, there are a few other interesting things that have happened during their more than twenty-year run.

For example, they launched a poker room in 2002. That’s not the interesting part. What is interesting is that if you visit their site, they say the poker room is unavailable. The reason? They surrendered their license.

How many gambling sites do you see do that who still have their heads above water? It just doesn’t happen.

Another example – in 2012, InterCasino’s parent company (CryptoLogic) was acquired by the Amaya Gaming Group. The sale included everything from their B2C subsidiary (WagerLogic) to their casino, poker room, and bingo room.

The deal was worth $35.8 million in a cash for share takeover. They made nearly double that selling WagerLogic, so you know they did pretty well on that deal.

And that’s about it. Things have been uneventful since 2012.

The Casino

InterCasino offers more than six hundred desktop games and four hundred mobile games. Their games come from thirty of the best software developers in the gambling industry.

Some of those software developers include:

  • Net Entertainment
  • NextGen
  • HO Gaming
  • OpenBet
  • Evolution Gaming
  • Electracade
  • Microgaming
  • IGT
  • Amaya Software
  • Blueprint Gaming
  • ELK Studios
  • Betsoft
  • Lightningboxgames
  • Yggdrasil
  • Ainsworth
  • Cadillac Jack
  • Quickspin
  • Rabcat
  • Thunderkick
  • Genesis Gaming
  • Play’n GO
  • Big Time Gaming
  • 2by2 Gaming
  • Extreme Live Gaming
  • Pragmatic Play

The benefit to working with so many developers is that InterCasino can cherry pick a selection of games that will be hard to find elsewhere.

They managed to do a pretty good job of this.

But it does depend on where you’re playing from. When we checked them out (from Canada and Germany), they said they had more than 315 games. They only had 238 games when we checked them out from the USA. All the games we played were from NYX/NextGen.

Your mileage may vary, though, if you’re playing from a different country.

You’ll want to keep this in mind as you go through each section. Some of the games you see may not be available to you.

Not only that, but we felt like some of their sections could use a little TLC. You’ll see what we mean in just a second.

Despite all that, we feel there’s a little something for everyone here. So, enough talking, and let’s look at all the different games you can play here at InterCasino.

Table Games

Here’s the list of table games we found at InterCasino:

  • Casino War
  • Three Card Poker
  • Baccarat Classic
  • European Roulette
  • Side Bet Blackjack
  • European Blackjack
  • European Blackjack High Limit
  • Perfect Pairs Blackjack
  • Lucky 7 Blackjack
  • Micro Limit Blackjack
  • Single Deck Blackjack
  • Atlantic City Blackjack
  • Micro Limit Blackjack
  • European Roulette

And more!

There’s a catch 22 here. Do you see it?

On one hand, there are lots of blackjack games to play. That’s going to make blackjack aficionados very happy.

But on the other hand, blackjack games make up the majority of the table game selection. Your non-blackjack options include casino war, three-card poker, and baccarat. That’s it.

It’s not a matter of location, either. We reviewed their blackjack and table game section from Canada, Berkshire (UK), and Germany. We got the same results every time.

It’s nice to see they cover the basics pretty well. But it’d be even better if there were more balance between their blackjack and other games.

Moving on…

You can play their table games for fun money without creating an account. We did this, as we couldn’t create a real money account no matter what we tried.

The games had nice graphics that had a touch of realism. We thought they were easy to use, too.

As for stakes, we couldn’t check those out for ourselves. The play money games offered stakes from $1 to $500. We wouldn’t be shocked if this was the case for their real money tables, too.

Video Poker

It was incredibly hard to figure out exactly what video poker games InterCasino offers. Since these are “poker” games, they list them under the table games section instead of their own section, as most casinos do.

Here are the games we managed to find:

  • Aces and Faces
  • Play4 Joker Poker
  • All American
  • Double Double Bonus

That’s it.

We did use the search function to see if maybe they also had jokers wild, deuces wild, or other titles we could think off. They didn’t.

This is unfortunate. This is too small a list of video poker games. You can easily find casinos who have seven to ten or more. That’s not including multi-hand or pyramid variants, either.

We were also surprised not to see jacks or better and deuces wild. Both are standard video poker games.

Anyway, we checked out the few games they do have to see how everything worked.

The machines we looked at have nice, shiny graphics compared to most machines. The games are simple to use, too. Everything is color coded, so you know exactly what hand you have. They automatically hold winning hands, too.

The machine we played lets you bet as much as $5 per hand, on as many as 100 hands. That’s $500, which is impressive. However, you could bet the max and bump that up to $2,500.

This is for free play, mind you. $2,500 per round is high for a video poker machine, but it’d be pretty cool if they let you play for that much money on their real money machines.

Here are some of the slots that stood out to us at InterCasino:

  • Bloopers
  • DJ Wild
  • Bingo Billions
  • Cash Stampede
  • The Spin Lab
  • Flux
  • Wild West
  • Jack’s Beanstalk
  • Judge Dredd
  • Wonder Woman
  • Vampires vs. Werewolves
  • Native Treasure
  • Bars and Bells
  • Fortune 8 Cat
  • Monkey in the Bank
  • Double the Devil
  • Cash N Clovers
  • Congo Bongo
  • Juju Jack
  • Angel’s Touch
  • King Kong: Isle of Skull Mountain
  • Just Vegas
  • 300 Shields
  • Medusa
  • Hot Roller
  • Mad Mad Monkey
  • Toki Time
  • Big Foot
  • Andre the Giant
  • Munchers
  • Irish Eyes 2
  • The Rift
  • Fireworks
  • Zoom
  • Queen of Riches
  • King Tiger
  • Charms and Witches
  • Star Quest
  • Zombie Rush

And more!

This barely scratches the surface. By our (rough) count, they have more than three hundred slot machines to choose from.

We often talk about how much we like licensed slot machines. These are machines that revolve around movies, TV shows, comic books, pop culture, and so on.

InterCasino has plenty of these. For example, we found:

  • Judge Dredd (movie)
  • Wonder Woman (comics)
  • James Dean (actor)
  • Alice Cooper (musician)
  • Ted (movie)

And more!

These are fun to play if you’re a fan of whatever the machine is based on. Usually, they integrate elements from the TV show, movie, music, etc. into the reels, cutscenes, and bonus rounds.

We also found several slot machines we’d be interested in playing just because of their theme. For example, here are some of the slots we’d like to try:

  • Jurassic Giants
  • Five Pirates
  • Not Enough Kittens
  • Potion Factory
  • Munchers
  • Zombie Rush

Who doesn’t like dinosaurs, pirates, cats, wizardry/fantasy, or zombies?

The point is that you’ll find a diverse mix of slot machines to choose from here. It doesn’t matter if you’re into progressives, bonus rounds, colorful graphics, cats, vampires or three-reel classics.

Our biggest qualm is that they don’t have a filter system that helps you quickly find the games you want to play.

For example, we’d like it if we could choose three-reel classics, five-reel slots with bonuses, or slots about cats. That’s not the way it works, though. We’re forced to scroll through hundreds of slots instead.

The funny thing is, that’s not the case for mobile users. We found that InterCasino’s mobile casino does have a few filters. For example:

  • Slots
  • Classics

These are in addition to more general filters like:

  • Popular
  • Hot wins
  • New

That’s definitely a win for mobile users.

Now, for this review, we checked out Merlin’s Magic Respins. The graphics were colorful and reminded us of a Pixar movie. It also has a few neat features. For example, you can increase your chances of receiving respins and the size of your prize by adding a little extra to your bet.

On this machine, you can bet as little as $0.01/line for $0.50 total. But on the high side, between the max bet and lines, you can bet as much as $250 per spin. With the add-on, you can bet as much as $1,750.

Keep in mind this was for the free money game. But we wouldn’t be shocked if you could wager this on the real money version.

We also checked out this Merlin slot machine from our phones. It worked well. We thought that it was intuitive to navigate and use. Our biggest gripe is that we’d like a full-screen option.

More than two hundred slots were available to us when we checked them out from our mobile device. We checked them out from the US, too, so chances are they have even more than that.

Since they use Flash, iOS, Android, and Windows, users should have no problem playing here.

Live Dealer Games

It’s interesting. No matter what location we viewed InterCasino from, we weren’t able to create an account. Which means we weren’t able to see what live casino games they offered.

They have a section for their live casino, but all they have on it is information. They tell you what live dealer games are, how they work, and who they work with for their live dealer casino.

That’s not very helpful.

What they do tell you (that’s helpful) is that there are two live casinos. One is called Casino Cosmopolitan, which is operated by Evolution Gaming. The other is Casino Paris, which is operated by NetEnt.

While we couldn’t see the games they offer firsthand, we are VERY familiar with the live dealer games and stakes offered by both developers. Live casino players shouldn’t have any qualms about anything they find here.

All that being said, we did a little research and got an idea of what games you can play here. According to our sources, InterCasino offers the following live games:

  • Auto Roulette
  • Auto Roulette – La Partage
  • Auto Roulette VIP
  • Baccarat
  • Baccarat Controlled Squeeze
  • Baccarat Squeeze
  • Blackjack
  • British Roulette
  • Casino Hold’em
  • Common Draw Blackjack
  • Dreamcatcher
  • Dutch Roulette
  • European Roulette
  • French Gold Roulette
  • Immersive Lite Roulette
  • Immersive Roulette
  • La Partage
  • Roulette
  • Speed Baccarat
  • Ultimate Texas Holdem
  • VIP Blackjack
  • VIP Roulette

Stakes vary from $0.10 (roulette) to $.50 (blackjack), to as much as $15-$80k, depending on whether you play baccarat, roulette, hold’em or blackjack. The roulette tables will offer the highest stakes ($75k-$80k).

We only looked at pictures of their games, but the resolution was top notch. The dealers, cards and tables were easy to see and read. All the information you needed was displayed clearly on the screen, too.

This is on par with our previous experience reviewing Evolution and NetEnt’s live games.

Overall, we’re sure our readers will enjoy their live casino.

Banking Options

InterCasino doesn’t do a good job listing the banking options they accept. We had to look elsewhere for that information.

Here’s what we managed to find out about your deposit and withdrawal options.

You can make a deposit using one of the following methods:

  • Bank Wire Transfer
  • ECash Direct
  • Entropay
  • MasterCard
  • Neteller
  • PayPal
  • Paysafecard
  • Skrill
  • Visa
  • Visa Debit
  • Visa Electron

InterCasino doesn’t say anything about limits, fees or time frames in their terms and conditions.

You can cash out your winnings using one of these options:

  • Bank Wire Transfer
  • ECash Direct
  • Neteller
  • Skrill
  • Visa
  • Visa Electron

The minimum cash out is $10.

There’s a 72-hour cash out time and they do NOT process cash outs over the weekend.

However, there are no payout limits, which is great news. They do say they reserve the right to limit cashouts to $5,000 per week, though. They also say cash outs of more than $100,000 may be paid out in as many as ten installments.

We don’t care for limits, but this could be much, much worse.

Bonus Promotions

InterCasino has a couple of offers running. Here are the details for each one:

  • Welcome Deal – This deal is worth $900 and 110 free spins overall. Here’s how the offer breaks down:
  • Create an account and get 10 free spins.
  • Make a deposit of at least $20 and get a 100% match bonus up to $300.

You get 100 free spins after your deposit bonus. They’ll give them to you at the following intervals:

  • After your first deposit
  • 3 days after your deposit
  • 6 days after your deposit
  • 9 days after your deposit
  • 12 days after your deposit

Then on your second and third deposit, make a deposit of $20 or more and receive a 100% match bonus up to $300 each. The total you can claim is $900.

This offer has a 25x playthrough on the deposit and bonus. There’s a 40x playthrough on the winnings from your free spins. You can only use this bonus for slots, which is slightly disappointing.

That’s all they have for their (listed) promotions.

They do have a VIP program, but it’s by invite only. The perks include your own account manager, trips, and exclusive offers and promos.

We emailed them to ask if they have a VIP or rewards program for the general public. They said they have one, but it’s not available yet.

Mobile Friendliness

InterCasino has an instant play casino for both desktop and mobile users. This means that there’s nothing for you to download.

Their casino doesn’t appear to be mobile responsive, though. They have a dedicated mobile casino instead.

We checked it out on an iPhone 6s from the United States. While we couldn’t check out their table, roulette, video poker, or blackjack games, we could look at everything else.

Their mobile casino is set up well and is intuitive to navigate and use. We also found that they have a much better filter system than their desktop casino does.

Other than that, you could sort their slot machines by alphabetical order or release date.

Overall, their mobile casino is solid.

Their games run on Flash (at least everything we looked at). From our experience, that means that iOS, Android, and Windows users should be able to play here.

Customer Support

You can contact InterCasino using the following options:

PHONE: +356 2778 0449

The fact that they offer phone support is a big deal. You’d be surprised at all the ‘big name’ companies that don’t offer this.

We opted to send them an email, since our question wasn’t urgent. We asked them if they offered any additional bonuses or a basic VIP program.

We heard back from them in about nine hours. That’s a bit of a delay, but it’s important to keep in mind that we emailed them at 3pm PST. They were likely in bed. We’d expect a faster response if we emailed them earlier or later in the day.

Our other sources say they received email responses in as little as three minutes to as long as about four hours. That’s definitely a reasonable time frame.

InterCasino is a solid casino overall. But what else would you expect from a casino who has 20+ years of experience?

Not everything was a 10/10, though. There are a few things we didn’t care for and would like to see improved.

For example:

  • We’d like to see more offers outside of the bonuses you can claim on your first three deposits.
  • InterCasino should add a general VIP program. At the very least, they should have a cash back program.
  • They need to beef up their table, card, and video poker game selection. There’s just not much to choose from here.
  • We’d like to see them add some kind of organization system to their game section. At the very least, they should add it to their slots section.

That’s about it. And honestly, these are minor things to complain about in the grand scheme of things. Especially considering they do so many things well.

For example:

  • They’re heavily regulated
  • You can play hundreds of games from your desktop computer or mobile device
  • They offer a cool $900 + 110 free spins to new customers

And loads more.

The bottom line is that you can’t beat the experience, trust, or support at InterCasino. We recommend all our readers head over and create an account now.
