Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Leicester City Betting Preview – EPL, February 7, 2021

Wolves come into this fixture in the strange position of winning its last game, and Nuno Espirito Santo will be hoping that his players can keep that feeling going.

But Leicester could welcome back some very important players on Sunday – and that might be enough to tip the scales in its favor.

I have a feeling that if the news of Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi’s inclusion in Leicester’s starting eleven on Sunday were more definite, the odds for an away win would be much shorter here. BetOnline still has the Foxes as the favorite – and it might be wise to get in on Leicester early to make the most of the price.

Wolves won its first league game in nine on Tuesday, but it needed some help from the officials. Arsenal had already taken the lead when David Luiz was somewhat controversially sent off just before half time. The Black Country side then went on to score two in the second period and take advantage of the Gunners keeper, also seeing red later on.

It is unlikely that Wolves will have quite as much luck on Sunday – and it might find Leicester a much harder nut to crack. Willian Jose will still probably be looked to as a stopgap until Raul Jimenez can return to the starting line up and Wolves might continue to struggle until that happens.

Leicester, on the other hand, might be able to welcome back both Jamie Vardy and Wilfred Ndidi for this one. If that is the case, I can’t see anything but an away win at Molineux. Jamie Vardy’s goals are well known, but it is the defensive midfield play of Ndidi that allows the striker to shine.

But even Leicester cannot field those two stars, there is still a very good chance that it will return to the King Power with three more points. James Maddison has been particularly impressive this season – and there are more than enough other options for Brendan Rodgers when it comes to players that can turn this game.

I would back Leicester to win this one even if Vardy isn’t able to come back straight away after recuperating from a hernia operation. His goals would definitely separate these two sides, but there are others that can find the net in this team – and Leicester should be able to keep the pressure on the two Manchester clubs with another victory.
