Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Everton Betting Preview – EPL, January 12, 2021

There is something not quite right at Wolves. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side won its FA Cup third-round game at the weekend, but league form has been patchy.
Now Everton comes to Molineux, looking to continue its largely impressive campaign – and put some more pressure on the teams around it in the Premier League.
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Everton Odds
Wolves have been made a favorite by BetOnline to win this one at home on Tuesday, but I have a feeling that bookmakers are pricing its games remembering the form of last season rather than this one. Everton is playing some very good soccer this season – and the draw and away win bets look more attractive to me here.
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Everton Match Analysis
Before Wolves’ cup victory at the weekend, it had only won one of its last seven games in the EPL – and that was thanks to a stoppage-time winner in the game against Chelsea. The continued absence of Raul Jimenez has played a big part in that decline, but there is not the same invention in this team this season.
It could be that Wolves is still desperately missing the attacking movement of Diogo Jota after his transfer to Liverpool, but there are still a number of other talented players in this squad that are just not performing at the moment. It will be interesting to see how busy Wolves is in the January transfer window.
Carlo Ancelotti is probably very happy with the players he has at the moment – and just one defeat in the last six EPL games shows that the early season form was not a complete fluke. The lack of goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin might be a slight worry, though.
Everton was beaten by a West Ham side last time out in the league, with former manager David Moyes putting one over his old club. The organization that West Ham showed in that game is something that Everton has shown throughout this season, and that should be enough to beat a disjointed Wolves on Tuesday.
Wolverhampton Wanderers vs. Everton Prediction and Pick
-
Everton to Win+186
As much as I understand why Wolves would be priced as favorites for this fixture, I think it also presents an opportunity to take advantage of some good value odds offered for the away win. Everton continues to be one of the better sides just below the top four this season – and another win has to be considered here.
