Predictions and Picks for WNBA Games – June 21st, 2022
Unfortunately, my WNBA predictions are coming off another tough day. I correctly predicted two of the five games but missed on my three best bets. It’ll be hard to turn a profit if we can’t hit those picks.
Perhaps we’ll have more luck with my WNBA picks on a Tuesday. My predictions have been on Sundays for the last few weeks. Changing it up could be key to turning things around.
There are four games on the WNBA schedule for Tuesday, June 21. Take a look at the WNBA odds for each matchup.
WNBA Odds for Tuesday, June 21st
- Wings (-180) vs. Dream (+155), O/U 164.0
- Sky (+290) vs. Aces (-350), O/U 175.5
- Lynx (+175) vs. Mercury (-210), O/U 167.5
- Mystics (-160) vs. Sparks (+132), O/U 166.5
The Dallas Wings and Atlanta Dream are among the league leaders against the spread. Dallas holds a 10-5-1 record, while Atlanta is 9-6. The WNBA betting odds give the Wings a five-point advantage.
We could see a high-scoring game in Atlanta. The Dream have gone over their point total in five straight games. The Wings have accomplished this feat in three consecutive games.
It’s interesting to look at the betting trends for the Chicago Sky vs. Las Vegas Aces. Las Vegas has only covered once in their last five games, with Chicago failing to do so in three straight games.
There isn’t a clear trend with the point total, but they’ve each gone over in back-to-back games. How will that impact a battle of heavyweights?

The betting trends for the Minnesota Lynx and Phoenix Mercury mirror each other. Both teams have covered the spread seven times, with Minnesota having one more loss. It’s the same story with the point total, as Phoenix’s 10-6 record is slightly better than Minnesota’s 9-6-1 mark.
The WNBA odds show the closest matchup of the day features the Washington Mystics vs. Los Angeles Sparks. We’ve been talking about close betting trends, but that’s not the case with this matchup.
Washington is 11-7 against the spread, while Los Angeles is under .500 at 6-8. The Mystics have been among the lowest-scoring teams, going under their point total in four of their 18 games. The Sparks have gone over in nine of their 14 games.

Top WNBA Predictions for June 21st
- Wings Over Dream
- Aces Over Sky
- Mercury Over Lynx
- Sparks Over Mystics
The Dallas Wings endured a rough 2-6 stretch before scoring back-to-back wins. My WNBA predictions value their momentum as they face the Atlanta Dream. Atlanta had a strong start, but they’ve lost four straight games.
Dallas has had a significant contribution from guard Arike Ogunbowale. Take a look at her scoring numbers in her last three games.
- Aces: 28 points
- Mercury: 24 points
- Sparks: 27 points
We’ll have a preview of next month’s Commissioner Cup as the Chicago Sky face the Las Vegas Aces. Las Vegas is coming off a narrow defeat against the Minnesota Lynx, but my WNBA picks have them bouncing back.
Chicago has looked much better lately, but they’re coming off a disappointing loss to the Indiana Fever. It’ll be tough to score a road victory over Las Vegas.
The Phoenix Mercury vs. Minnesota Lynx matchup features two teams outside the playoff picture. My WNBA game picks have to pick a winner, and the Mercury have looked better lately. Phoenix’s offense has looked better lately, as they should be the driving force behind the victory.
The lone upset in my WNBA betting picks features the Los Angeles Sparks over the Washington Mystics. That’s a product of Elena Delle Donne not playing.
Just one name on @WashMystics injury report for tomorrow at Los Angeles: Elena Delle Donne is out due to rest. This had been the tentative plan for a while, and EDD said yesterday that she would fly straight to Seattle today to get ready for Thursday's game there. @TheNextHoops— Jenn Hatfield (she/her) (@jennhatfield1) June 20, 2022
She hasn’t been playing at an MVP level, but she remains a vital member of the Mystics. Her absence is the difference-maker in my free WNBA picks.
It also doesn’t help that Washington travels across the country after playing on Sunday. The Mystics have the better record, but the Sparks have a good enough record to hand with them. My WNBA picks are backing the value with Los Angeles.
Best Bets for WNBA Games on 6/21/22
- Wings vs. Dream Over 164.0 Points (-110)
- Chicago Sky (+8.0) (-110)
- Minnesota Lynx Under 82.5 Points (-125)
My WNBA predictions have the Dallas Wings defeating the Atlanta Dream. I’m also siding with the over for this matchup. Atlanta had early season success thanks to their defense, but that hasn’t been the case lately.
They’ve allowed 90+ points in three straight games. Meanwhile, Dallas has cleared 84 points in four of their last five games. They’ve also allowed 82+ points in six consecutive games.
The Dream don’t have a great offense, but they can put up big numbers. My WNBA game picks are taking the over for this matchup.

We know the Las Vegas Aces and Chicago Sky will be players for the 2022 WNBA Finals. My free WNBA picks have the Aces winning this matchup, but an eight-point spread is awfully high.
Normally, I wouldn’t mind taking Las Vegas at this price, but Chicago has been playing at an elite level. They’ve won six of their last eight games, including a victory over the Connecticut Sun. The Sky lost by seven points in their first matchup with the Aces.
The Minnesota Lynx enter Tuesday’s matchup with the worst record in the league. A big reason for that is their low-scoring offense.
- @ Liberty: 69 points
- Vs. Mystics: 59 points
- Vs. Fever: 80 points
- Vs. Storm: 79 points
- @ Aces: 95 points
They had a great performance against the Aces, but their overall performance has me taking the under. The WNBA betting odds should’ve had this line under 80 points. Their only hope is a bad performance from the Phoenix Mercury defense.
