Predictions and Picks for WNBA Games – June 19th, 2022
My WNBA predictions last Sunday had a ton of bad luck. The Dallas Wings failed to cover by a half-point, and the Seattle Storm and Washington Mystics missed their first-half point total by a combined two points.
They say football is a game of inches. We can apply the same to betting on the WNBA. A frustrating day, but we’ll look forward to Sunday, June 19.
The WNBA betting odds have five games on the board. Hopefully, my WNBA picks don’t have as much bad luck. Let’s start with the WNBA odds.
WNBA Odds for Sunday, June 19th
- Storm (-120) vs. Liberty (EVEN), O/U 153.5
- Sun (-150) vs. Mystics (+130), O/U 154.5
- Sky (-585) vs. Fever (+410), O/U 171.0
- Sparks (+160) vs. Wings (-185), O/U 164.5
- Lynx (+1100) vs. Aces (-1800), O/U 173.5
It’s not often the WNBA betting odds have close matchups. We have two big favorites, but there’s a great chance to find value with the other games.
The New York Liberty have been great against the spread lately, covering in six of their last seven games. The Seattle Storm have the better record, but the betting trends tell us to side with New York. Both teams are around .500 with the point total.
It might not be difficult to make a WNBA betting pick for the Connecticut Sun vs. Washington Mystics. Washington is 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games. Connecticut is 5-2 in that span. The Sun have favored the over, while the Mystics have favored the under.
The Chicago Sky have a far better record than the Indiana Fever, but the betting trends tell a different story.
- Chicago Sky: 6-8
- Indiana Fever: 6-11
Will your WNBA picks include the Fever? The spread may be the way to go.
It’s hard to find a betting trend with the Los Angeles Sparks, but the Dallas Wings have covered in four of their last six games. My WNBA predictions could feature the point total, as they have a combined 18-10 record.
Surprisingly, the Las Vegas Aces have failed to cover in three of their last four games. The Minnesota Lynx are in their own funk, failing to cover in five of seven games. They’re both 8-6 with the point total.

Top WNBA Predictions for June 19th
- Liberty Over Storm
- Sun Over Mystics
- Sky Over Fever
- Wings Over Sparks
- Aces Over Lynx
My WNBA game picks feature only one road team scoring the victory. Are you backing the home teams?
The lone upset of Sunday’s slate features the New York Liberty over the Seattle Storm. Seattle has the better record, but New York has looked strong lately. They’re 5-3 since a 1-7 start, including a pair of wins over the Washington Mystics.
I like their chances to score a home victory over Seattle.
We’ve seen the Mystics struggle since a 5-1 start. Now, they could be without members of their frontcourt against the Connecticut Sun.
The official injury report lists Austin & Hines-Allen as questionable (non-covid illness). Another frontcourt player, Tianna Hawkins, is questionable with a sprained ankle. Everyone else is good to go, but a thin frontcourt is not ideal vs Connecticut, of all teams. @TheNextHoops https://t.co/niFfkGLGxE— Jenn Hatfield (she/her) (@jennhatfield1) June 18, 2022
That won’t be good against a strong Sun team. Washington needs a fully healthy squad to hang with Connecticut. The likely absences make this an easy WNBA pick.
Everyone knew it’d be a tough season for the Indiana Fever. They’ve stayed near the bottom of the standings, while the Chicago Sky compete for the best record in the WNBA. We could see an interesting debate with the spread, but I can’t see Indiana winning outright.
Fans may see the Dallas Wings 2-6 record in their last seven games, but check out their losses.
- @ Sun: 99-68
- @ Sparks: 93-91
- @ Aces: 84-78
- Vs. Storm: 89-88
- Vs. Storm: 84-79
- Vs. Aces: 92-84
They’ve been battling the best teams in the WNBA. They ended their losing streak with a win over the Phoenix Mercury.
You don’t need my free WNBA picks to have the Las Vegas Aces. Las Vegas has been the best team throughout the season, while the Minnesota Lynx have the worst record. Will your WNBA betting picks have the Aces covering the spread? That’s what you’ll need for value.
Best Bets for WNBA Games on 6/19/22
- Liberty to Win (EVEN)
- Sun vs. Mystics Over 154.5 Points (-110)
- Lynx vs. Aces Under 173.5 Points (-110)
The New York Liberty were my lone underdog pick in my WNBA predictions. It only makes sense I include them among my best bets.
We’ve seen 2020 No. 1 overall pick Sabrina Ionescu be the driving force behind their hot streak. She only cleared 11 points in three of her first eight games, but we’ve seen a different player in the last seven games. That includes a historic triple-double against the Chicago Sky.

I expect another high-scoring game as she leads New York to the victory.
The Connecticut Sun vs. Washington Mystics opens with a low point total. It makes sense considering they rank first and third in the WNBA in defense. Their points per game would put this matchup at 153 points.
We’ve seen the Mystics’ defense slip over the last few games. However, this selection is all about Connecticut’s offense. They’ve cleared 79 points in 10 straight games. It wouldn’t surprise me if they reached 85 in Sunday’s matchup.
We transition from the lowest point total to the highest. The latest 2022 WNBA Finals odds have the Las Vegas Aces as the favorite because of their dominant offense. They lead the WNBA with 90.2 points per game.
However, I’m taking the under in this matchup because of the Minnesota Lynx. They have the second-worst offense, averaging 77.6 points. The Aces have an underrated defense, which should help them keep this game under 173.5 points.
