West Bromwich Albion vs. Tottenham Hotspur – EPL, November 8, 2020

West Brom had begun to improve but Monday’s defeat to Fulham showed Slaven Bilic that he has a tough job on his hands to keep this club up this season.

Tottenham, on the other hand, is enjoying life at the moment and could even go top of the league with a win here and other games going its way over the weekend.

Tottenham Hotspur to Win-200

These are very good looking odds for a team to win at home, but West Brom has found that particularly difficult so far this season and will struggle to beat a Spurs side that is high on confidence after a string of good results in the league. The draw might be of interest – but West Brom will need to play well.

West Bromwich Albion vs. Tottenham Hotspur Match Preview

When West Brom lost 2-0 to Fulham at the start of the week it was only the latest sign that it is going to be a long season at The Hawthorns. There are some very good individual players in the squad but they are finding it very hard to adapt back to the Premier League so far.

Selling your best defender doesn’t help things – and Bilic was very vocal about his displeasure at losing Hegazi. The Baggies are one of three clubs not to have won a single game this season and only have a few draws against some of the weaker sides in the league to keep them off the bottom.

Tottenham’s players will be in a much better mood than their West Brom counterparts. They dominated the game with Brighton at the weekend – and even stepped up the pace after allowing the Seagulls back in the encounter to make sure of the three points. After the disappointment in the Europa League the week before, three points were just what the club needed.

There will have been another European away trip before this game with West Brom – and one that is further afield – but Jose Mourinho has a squad that can deal with the extra games now. Gareth Bale scored his first goal back in Spurs colors against Brighton – and if he can turn that into a regular occurrence, Spurs could be in for a good season.

West Bromwich Albion vs. Tottenham Hotspur Betting Pick

  • Tottenham Hotspur to Win

The odds are not particularly attractive but this looks more likely to finish as another defeat for West Brom than anything else. The Black Country club is more than adept at getting out of the Championship but can’t seem to push on to challenge in the top flight – and may well end up going back down again at the end of the season.
