West Bromwich Albion vs. Chelsea Betting Preview – EPL, September 26, 2020

The two goals against Everton will have been some comfort but it is already looking like West Brom is going to be facing another tough season in the top flight.
This week the expensively revamped Chelsea side makes the trip to The Hawthorns looking to get over the home defeat to Liverpool last time out.
West Bromwich Albion vs. Chelsea Odds
BetOnline has obviously already seen enough of West Brom this season to know that the Baggies will struggle – and especially against the better teams in the English Premier League. There will be some good days of course, but Chelsea could cause the home team a lot of problems on Saturday and the away win bet would seem to be the more obvious option.
Match Preview
Slaven Bilic showed his frustration last weekend, as he was sent off along with defender Kieran Gibbs in the 5-2 loss at Goodison Park. The West Brom manager can be justifiably angry with some of the decisions but the red card for Gibbs was a no brainer.
But, even with 11 on the field, West Brom would have found life tough going against that Everton side – and in, all honesty, it could be the same story for the majority of the season. There is no respite this weekend as Chelsea comes to town, so Bilic may well be fuming once again come Saturday evening.
Frank Lampard, on the other hand, will be fairly happy with how his team is playing this season. But he might be a little worried about his last line of defense. To be fair, it is the entire backline that looks frail at times with Chelsea – but it doesn’t help that Kepa Arrizabalaga can not be trusted as well.
He was at fault for one of Mane’s goals in the loss to Liverpool and does not look like the most expensive goalkeeper in the world. Lampard will need to ensure that his team does not allow West Brom to have the same amount of freedom as Liverpool did last weekend, as there is still a lot of work to be done with his defensive unit.
Prediction and Betting Pick
-
Chelsea to Win-250
Chelsea may have brought in such exciting attacking talents as Timo Werner and Kai Havertz in the offseason but this still does seem very much like a team in the making at the moment. With such a financial outlay there may be the desire for more immediate results but Frank Lampard will need a little more time to perfect his squad. Luckily, his team should not have too much trouble this weekend against West Brom.
