Washington Football Team vs. New York Giants Betting – NFL Week 6, 2020

The Washington Football Team and New York Giants will meet for the first time in 2020 in Week 6 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
These two NFC East foes are going through some hard times, but their head-to-head duels are always interesting to watch and full of exciting moves. The previous clash between Washington and New York produced 76 points in total, so I bring you the best Football Team vs. Giants betting pick for Sunday, October 18.
Washington vs. Giants Odds
The Giants opened as 3-point favorites at Bovada.lv, but I’m not sure how to define the favorite in this clash. We’ll see a couple of bad teams that combined for one win through the first five weeks, and the Giants are still winless.
At least, I cannot argue with the bookies when it comes to the totals. Both teams have been solid defensively so far, but they’ve been a pure disaster on the offensive end.
Washington Football Team
After a surprising 27-17 victory to the Philadelphia Eagles in the opening week, the former Redskins have dropped four games in a row. They are coming off a 30-10 defeat to the LA Rams this past Sunday, and the Football Team had absolutely no chance to upset the odds.
Washington allowed eight sacks and racked up miserable 108 total yards. And that’s not a typo. Kyle Allen and Alex Smith combined for 70 yards through the air, while Washington’s ground game gained paltry 38 yards.
Therefore, you cannot blame the Football Team’s defense for surrendering 30 points on 429 total yards. They were on the field for almost 36 minutes, and coping with the Rams’ fluid offense was a really tall task.
New York Giants
The Giants failed to take advantage of Dak Prescott’s season-ending injury and suffered a 37-34 defeat at the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. New York blew a massive chance, probably the best one since the start of the season, to tally one in the win column.
They had a 34-31 lead with 8:46 to go in the fourth quarter, while the Giants had the last two minutes to organize a solid drive and hit the winning field goal with the clash tied at 34-34. The only thing they managed to do is allowing the Cowboys to score a field goal as the time expired.
Daniel Jones tossed for 222 yards without touchdowns and interceptions. It was another disappointing performance by the Giants’ first-round pick from the 2019 draft. Darius Slayton had eight catches for 129 yards, while Devonta Freeman added 87 yards from scrimmage and a TD.
Washington vs. Giants Pick
Washington is scoring 17.8 points per game (30th in the NFL) on 263.0 total yards (32nd), while New York is tallying 16.2 points per contest (31st) on 282.4 total yards (30th).
On the other side of the ball, the Football Team is surrendering 28.4 points per game (22nd), while the Giants are yielding 26.6 points per contest (19th).
Considering the stats and teams’ current form, betting on the under seems like the only logical choice.
The Giants are 5-2 SU and ATS in their last seven encounters with Washington, and the under is 5-2 in that span.
