If you’re looking for some exotic betting action over the weekend, here’s the best Valladolid vs. Alaves betting pick for Sunday, October 25.

The Spanish La Liga continues with Matchday 7, and the clash at Estadio Jose Zorrilla in Valladolid will be a pure joy to watch. Both teams have started the new season poorly and will be keen to improve when they take on each other.

Valladolid vs. Alaves Odds

Valladolid to Win+140
Alaves to Win+260
Over 2.0+133
Under 2.0-145

According to Bovada Sportsbook, we should see a tight battle with no more than a couple of goals in total. The price on the Over 1.5 Goals is -145, and you won’t see that often.

Last season, Valladolid and Alaves split their two-game set, grabbing a home win each. And while Valladolid recorded a narrow 1-0 victory, Alaves thrashed off the White and Violets 3-0.

Still, keep in mind that the home-field advantage isn’t exactly the same without the fans on the stands.

Valladolid vs. Alaves Preview

Valladolid is still winless, tallying three draws and three defeats in the first six rounds of the 2020-21 La Liga season. The White and Violets are sitting at the 19th spot of the La Liga standings with three points and a 5:9 goal difference.

In three showings at home, Valladolid earned a couple of points while failing to keep its net intact in the process. Last weekend, they played a 2-2 draw at Huesca, blowing a two-goal lead in just four minutes.

Valladolid took only five shots towards Huesca’s goalie. They had the ball in possession for a paltry 34 percent of the time, so the White and Violets should be happy with the outcome.

On the other side, Deportivo Alaves earned four points through the first six rounds while posting a 3:8 goal difference. The Glorious One suffered four defeats including a 2-0 home loss to Elche last weekend.

Their lone win came against Athletic Bilbao 1-0 at home on October 4, while Deportivo dropped both road contests this term, losing at Granada 2-1 and Villarreal 3-1.

Alaves will miss Pere Pons (foot) on Sunday, and that’s a big blow, as the 27-year-old midfielder spent every minute on the field so far. Valladolid can count on all its first-team players.

Valladolid vs. Alaves Pick

Valladolid had one of the best defenses in the Spanish La Liga last season, so I’m a bit surprised with their poor displays over the last few weeks.

The White and Violets’ offense is doing a solid job, but nine goals conceded in the first six outings is too much for this Valladolid team. On the other side, Alaves’ defense has struggled, too, so I have to bet on the totals Sunday when these two foes meet each other.

I know that both Valladolid and Alaves will take a patient and cautious approach, but the eventual opener would change everything. If someone finds the net, the other team will have to push forward in numbers, and with the odds at -145, I have no choice but to bet on the Over 1.5 Goals.

While two of Alaves’ last four games produced fewer than a couple of goals in total, five of Valladolid’s previous six encounters saw two or more goals on the scoreboard.
