Picks and Predictions for the USFL Games for Week 10 (2022)

It’s been a fun season, but it’s officially coming to an end. The 2022 USFL regular season is entering its final week before a 2-week playoff between the top 4 teams.

Before we head to Canton, Ohio for the playoffs, let’s break down the Week 10 USFL odds to see which teams are favored to win.

Something we have to keep in mind is that the playoff teams are already set. The starters might play in Week 10, but they could be pulled at any time. Things can get ugly, so make sure you are making your USFL picks for Week 10 with that in mind.

Let’s check out the USFL Odds for the last week of the regular season on the following betting sites;

As you can see from the odds, most of the games are projected to be very close. The four teams to have already made their way to the playoffs are the Philadelphia Stars, New Jersey Generals, New Orleans Breakers, and Birmingham Stallions.

The Stars and Generals actually play each other this week and in the first round of the playoffs. With that being said, they probably don’t want to reveal their entire playbook for their next game. New Jersey beat them in Week 3, but this is a whole different ball game.

The Stallions were on the wrong end of the biggest upset of the year last week. They were undefeated prior to Week 9 but lost to the 1-7 Houston Gamblers (17-15). Despite the loss, Birmingham still looks to be the top dog this year and has secured their playoff spot.

Tampa Bay was eliminated last week, so their starters should be in for this game.

Michigan and Pittsburgh are also two eliminated teams, so they’ll be sending out their starters for their last game of the year. If you want to target a specific game due to the potential resting across the league, the Panthers vs. Maulers game is exactly what you’re looking for.

After the upset of the year, the Gamblers head into Week 10 looking for another one. The Breakers are set to face Birmingham in the first round of the playoffs, so it’s unclear how they will approach this game.

Here are my USFL picks for which teams will win in Week 10. As I said, there’s a lot of uncertainty when it comes to teams resting their players, so things can be a bit wonky.

For starters, both the Generals and Stars are in the playoffs. I doubt they will be playing at full speed for the entire game in an effort to save for next week. With that being said, good teams are often made by coaching and depth.

The Generals have had the better season, so I’ll give them the edge over the Stars.

Tampa Bay should be playing at full speed no matter what. With their season coming to an end, these players might be looking at their last impressions for their future endeavors. The USFL is not 100% guaranteed to be here within the next couple of years or so.

That should give the Bandits players more motivation than Birmingham, who was also upset last week against the Gamblers.

Michigan and Pittsburgh should be the most competitive game of the week. Both of these teams have had terrible seasons and are 1-8 coming into this game. I will give the edge to the Panthers, since they haven’t been getting blown out badly by their opponents, unlike the Maulers.

For my last Week 10 USFL picks, I will take the Houston Gamblers over the New Orleans Breakers. There is no incentive for the Breakers to play their top players for this game, while the Gamblers are missing the playoffs.

Houston was able to beat the league’s best team in Week 9, so they’ve already proven to be better than their 2-7 record.

Here are my top USFL betting picks for Week 10 of the 2022 season.

For my first pick, I am going with the under in the Stars vs. Generals game. These two teams will likely be sending back-ups in and keeping the intensity on the lower end. That means that scoring won’t be something they are very interested in.

They played each other in Week 3 and totaled 40 points (24-16), so it’s hard to say they would score more given the surrounding aspects of this one.

Taking an underdog moneyline could be a great way to find value in your USFL betting picks. Tampa Bay was supposed to be one of the top teams this year, but they weren’t able to live up to the hype. They can end their season on a good note with a win over the Stallions.

Although Michigan and Pittsburgh are both 1-8, the Panthers haven’t been as bad as the Maulers. The Maulers’ point differential is -84 coming into this week, while the Panthers is -37. Obviously, neither of these teams has been good this year, but the Panthers should be able to win.

Another underdog moneyline with value is the Houston Gamblers. The Gamblers could be one of the only teams to beat the top dogs in the Breakers and Stallions this year. They could even do it in back-to-back weeks.

Now the Breakers probably won’t care this week, but the Gamblers beating the Stallions is pretty noteworthy from Week 9. They can look to end their 2022 campaign on a high note with a win here.
