MLB Picks for Underdog Fantasy on Monday, April 11th, 2022

| April 11, 2022 9:00 am PDT

Underdog Fantasy picks is a rapidly growing fantasy betting site over the last couple months. They specialize in fantasy betting and pick ‘ems that parlay together up to 5 options for a multiplier bonus. If you can correctly pick 5 options in your Underdog parlay, you will earn a payout of 20x your entry fee.

There’s a catch though. If you miss just one of your MLB player props, your parlay loses. That just means we have to make our correct picks for a huge bonus to start our week off right.

We will be making 5 selections for Monday’s MLB picks, but feel free to make more or less depending on your comfortability level with today’s slate. Without further ado, let’s take a look at our Underdog Fantasy picks for the MLB’s Monday games.

Wander Franco Over 1.5 Total Bases

Wander Franco is taking the league by storm at just 21 years old. He has come blazing out of the gates in 2022 and gets an incredible matchup for today’s game, making for a great target for underdog fantasy picks.

The righty Paul Blackburn will be going for the Oakland A’s today, and he has not found his groove in the MLB just yet. He has a career 5.74 ERA in 138 career innings pitched. The A’s have been dealing away a lot of their players, so they don’t have a lot of options left.

Since 2020, Blackburn has allowed a .338 batting average to lefties and .317 average to righties. That bodes well for Franco, who’s a switch hitter and will be hitting from the left side against Blackburn.

Franco has been red hot for the 2022 season already, hitting .545 (6 of 11) with a double in his first three games. In his first 70 games in 2021, he slashed .288/.347/.463 at just 20 years old. He’s going to be a superstar in the MLB and 2022 might be the year he goes absolutely crazy.

Given Franco’s hot start to 2022, potential to be a superstar, and matchup for today, he looks like a great bet to get 2 or more total bases for today.

He’s currently (-667) on Bovada to get at least one hit today, which is extremely likely. If you think he can get multiple hits today, 2 or more is (+186), 3 or more is (+350), and 4 or more is (+900).

If you want to target this prop at a betting site, Bovada is easily one of the best sportsbooks to start with. Get to know them more with the review below, or head there now to bet on Franco’s total base count.

Byron Buxton Over 1.5 Total Bases

Another incredibly dynamic baseball player is Byron Buxton for the Minnesota Twins. Buxton has always had an amazingly high ceiling, but his health always seems to weigh him down. Now that Buxton is healthy at the moment, he looks like a great target to bet on him to get 2 or more total bases.

He’s not hitting at a crazy high average like Franco is over his first three games of the season, but he already has 3 home runs. His average is likely to be very high as the games go by as well, as he’s one of the best speed and power combinations in baseball.

That should make 2 total bases very reachable for him in basically any game. He’s extremely fast, so turning a bloop single into a double would even cash this MLB player prop.

The Twins take on the Seattle Mariners today, who are deploying Chris Flexen on the mound. Flexen is a decent pitcher, but there’s an additional advantage for Buxton here still.

Flexen has reverse splits as a righty, which means he actually gets hit more by righties than lefties. Righties are hitting a whopping .296 vs. Flexen since 2020, while lefties are hitting just .235.

Buxton being a righty himself is in luck here. Not to mention he has 3 career plate appearances against Flexen already and has yet to get out. He’s 3 for 3 with a home run and 4 RBI as well, so he’s already smoking Flexen as it is.

You can find odds for Buxton to get 2+ hits and the Twins to win for (+336) on Bovada, which has some serious value to it.Bet on Buxton to Get 2+ Hits at Bovada

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 Total Bases

Franco and Buxton are two amazing players, but Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has an even higher ceiling than them. He smashed basically everyone in 2021, slashing .311/.401/.601 with a league leading (tied) 48 home runs. Guerrero always makes sense as a target in Underdog Fantasy prop bets.

He’s got another big chance of sending a ball into the stratosphere today, or at least a double or two singles would do for this bet. The Blue Jays are taking on the Yankees in New York for an AL East showdown.

Jameson Taillon will toe the rubber for the Yankees, while Alek Manoah will be going for Toronto. Guerrero has done great against Taillon in 7 career at bats.

He has 3 hits (.429 average) and a home run off Taillon, who has reverse splits like Chris Flexen. Righties have hit .247 since 2020 off Taillon, while lefties have hit worse at .225.

As a matter of fact, Guerrero also has reverse splits which helps him out even more in this matchup.

Guerrero is hitting a modest .251 in his career against lefties and an stellar .304 against righties. Also 53 of his 73 career home runs have been off righties (72.6%). He’s (+300) to hit a home run in today’s game, which is solid value on Bovada. He’s got even odds (+100) to reach just the 2 total bases as well, which makes for a great bet in my opinion.

My Top Underdog Parlay for Monday, April 11th, 2022

  • Wander Franco Over 1.5 Total Bases
  • Byron Buxton Over 1.5 Total Bases
  • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Over 1.5 Total Bases
  • Kyle Schwarber Over 1.5 Total Bases
  • Taijuan Walker Under 65.6 Pitches

As you can see, I’ve added two more selections in our Underdog parlay so we can have our 20x multiplier if we can hit all 5 of our MLB props. It is an extra degree of difficulty to hit on every single one of these choices, but the payout is great.

If you would rather just do one bet by itself or combine 2 or 3, I would strongly recommend heading over to the best MLB betting sites in order to do so. Underdog Fantasy is great, but there is an extra level of risk when trying to combine all of your selections.

As for my other two MLB props, it’s impossible to not take a look at Kyle Schwarber today. The big lefty has absolutely destroyed Taijuan Walker in his career.

Schwarber has faced Walker a total of 10 times and he has 5 hits. All five of those hits have been home runs. Walker is coming off a long term injury from last season and his road ERA (5.26) is far worse than his home ERA (3.11) since 2020.

That’s a perfect recipe for Walker to get out of this game early as well, which makes his pitch count under a great target as well.

Be sure to head over to Bovada to place your bets individually or go for the 20x multiplier for your Underdog Fantasy prop bets for a monster payout.
