Predictions for All Fights at UFC Vegas 29 With Top Betting Picks for the Night

| June 18, 2021 5:33 am PDT

If you’re looking for betting tips for UFC Vegas 29, this guide with my predictions for all fights will help. More than that, my best bets and props will give you some food for thought before you get your wagers down.

Also known as UFC Fight Night: The Korean Zombie vs. Ige, this card has some excellent fights to get your money on. So make sure to read my predictions for all fights UFC Vegas 29, as I will be recommending the pick of the bunch to get your money on.

The natural place to start with my picks and top bets for UFC Vegas 29 is the main event of the evening. So, let’s get things going there.

The Korean Zombie to Beat Ige by Decision

This fight has the potential to be a classic.

Both men are as tough as old boots, with iron-cast chins and a propensity for violence. Unfortunately, there is very little to separate them on the feet, which makes betting on The Korean Zombie vs. Dan Ige a bit of a headscratcher.

But even though this is a 50/50 fight on paper, your methods for betting on this fight shouldn’t differ too much from how you gamble on UFC Vegas 29 fights in general. You’re looking for who has the advantages on the feet, on the ground, and when it comes to things like cardio and durability.

While there is nothing more than a gnat’s nostril hair to separate these guys on the feet, I would give the slightest of advantages to the Zombie.

On the ground, he has a discernible advantage over Ige. And this makes him the man to back in this fight.

I touch on the former’s better caliber of opponents and shinier resume in my UFC Vegas 29 predictions and betting pick for The Korean Zombie vs. Dan Ige. This experience will likely play a part in the outcome of this fight and goes some way towards reinforcing why a bet on Chan Sung Jung (that’s what his family call him) is the smart move.

Whatever happens, it should be an awesome fight. But it’s not the only bout to bet on at UFC Vegas 29.

Spivak to Beat Oleinik by KO/TKO

The next of my predictions for all fights at UFC Vegas 29 is a knockout win for Sergey Spivak against fellow European brute Aleksei Oleinik.

This is another tough fight to call, given that both men rock in with pretty similar styles. However, Spivak and Oleinik are both very strong in the grappling department and capable of throwing the odd bomb.

Neither name springs to mind when you think of expressive strikers in the heavyweight division, but this makes things even more intriguing.

Oleinik has a vicious submission game, hence his “The Boa Constrictor” moniker.

Perhaps best known for pulling off a pair of Ezekiel chokes in the UFC, he is a major threat to anyone once the fight hits the floor. However, he is getting on a little, and there have been a few signs of decline in his game.

This is where I see Spivak taking advantage. He is larger, has the power advantage, and is the likelier of the pair to get off to a good start. If he can keep his man at range and land some bombs, he should be there for the taking.

Neither of these guys will be fighting for the title any time soon, but Spivak’s ceiling is a little higher than his opponent’s.

If you are betting on the fights at UFC Vegas 29, and this one takes your fancy, I’d recommend opting for a win for Spivak by stoppage.

Erosa to Beat Woo Choi by Submission

My predictions and picks for UFC Vegas 29 move on to a fight that features another South Korean in the form of Seung Woo Choi.

The 28-year-old is 2-2 in the UFC and would love to see the needle tip towards the positive side of the meter with a win on the night.

The only problem is that his opponent, Julian Erosa, looks to have the right style to negate any hopes he has of improving his record in the promotion.

If you’re betting on UFC Vegas 29 featuring a submission on the main card, this is the fight I believe it will come in.

Erosa has 11 wins this way and can make that 12 if he gets his opponent to the mat.

I’m predicting a win for Erosa, but my betting tip for UFC Vegas 29’s main card fight is to back him to win by submission at some point in Round 2.

Vera to Beat Grant by Decision

This fight should be a lot of fun.

Marlon Vera and Davey Grant are always down for some ruckus and will look to meet each other in the center of the cage this Saturday. The question is, who prevails?

Of all my UFC Vegas 29 predictions, this one took a little longer than the rest to arrive at. Given Grant is riding a three-fight win streak into the cage, it’s pretty tempting to back him. He has the momentum and will be super confident of beating Vera again.

In their first fight back in February 2016, Grant took the decision. But of the two, I would argue that Vera has improved the most and has pushed himself into the consciousness of most bantamweights with some very encouraging displays over the past two years.

Although my UFC Vegas 29 prediction for Vera vs. Grant 2 is a decision win for “Chito,” I am not completely ruling out a stoppage for the Ecuadorian scrapper.

Silva to Beat Turman by KO/TKO

We have an all-Brazilian clash at middleweight to look forward to this Saturday between Wellington Turman takes on Bruno Silva.

My prediction for Turman vs. Silva at UFC Vegas 29 is a win for Silva by KO/TKO. While he’s not as cultured under the promotional banner as his compatriot, “Bulldog” has the power advantage. That will matter in this bout.

If he can take the fight to his man, he should be able to exploit Silva’s lack of pop.

I can see Silva catching Turman with a solid counter and taking him out in the first round.

Brown to Beat Lima by KO/TKO

Matt Brown is one of the last of the old school fighters currently competing under the UFC banner.

But let’s be honest, he’s hardly going to be fighting for a title any time soon. Dhiego Lima won’t be complaining if he can get the win, however.

If you are looking for upset betting tips for UFC Vegas 29, I’d go with Brown in this fight. He still has a solid Muay Thai base with great shot selection and doesn’t bode well for a guy with a chin as shaky as Lima.

I’m predicting a TKO win for Brown against Lima.

UFC Vegas 29 Prelims Predictions

  • Camur to Beat Negumereanu by KO/TKO
  • Jandiroba to Beat Murata by Decision
  • Williams to Beat Semelsberger by KO/TKO
  • Parisian to Beat Martinez by KO/TKO
  • Glenn to Beat Silva by Decision
  • O’Neill to Beat Procopio by Decision

Looking for more betting tips for UFC Vegas 29? Don’t just look to wager on the main card.

In other words, I’d strongly recommend looking at my predictions for UFC Vegas 29 undercard fights above. In addition, there are a couple of bouts that could help you win money betting on the fights this weekend.

Cast a glance over the predictions above before I move on to the top bets you can place on UFC Vegas 29.

Best Bets for UFC Vegas 29

Spivak to Beat Oleinik-225
Vera to Beat Grant-202
Silva to Beat Turman-135

If we’re talking about the best bets for UFC Vegas 29, the first place to start is by backing Spivak to beat Oleinik in the co-main event.

As I discussed earlier, Oleinik looks to be on the slide and comes in as the smaller man. Although an absolute weapon on the floor, he will struggle to get to his man.

As part of my predictions for UFC Vegas 29’s co-main, I suggested backing him to win by KO/TKO. But at the odds above, you might want to consider taking the moneyline or adding him to your parlay bets for UFC Fight Night: The Korean Zombie vs. Ige.

The second of my top bets for UFC Vegas 29 is for Vera to beat Grant in the only rematch on the card. This promises to be a super-watchable fight, but Vera’s quality should see him through.

My final betting tip for The Korean Zombie vs. Ige card is Silva to beat Turman. He has the advantages in power and should take the fight to him and score an early stoppage as a result.

UFC Vegas 29 Top Sleepers

Brown to Beat Lima by KO/TKO+260
Jandiroba to Beat Murata by KO/TKO/DQ/Submission+200

Let’s kick off the first of my UFC Vegas 29 sleepers with Brown to beat Lima by KO/TKO.

I truly believe that Brown is being slept on this fight. They say it’s the shots you don’t see that knock you out, and Brown can still pull them out of the bag. Combine that with Lima’s shaky chin, and you have the recipe for a top sleeper pick for UFC Vegas 29.

My next UFC Vegas 29 pick is Jandiroba to win by KO/TKO/DQ/Submission.

The Brazilian is hard as nails, and I can see her landing a takedown and forcing a submission. Given that a KO/TKO/DQ is also covered in this bet, it seems like a no-brainer to me.

There is plenty of value in this bet. If you’re looking to take advantage of it or any of the wagers above, keep on reading, and I’ll tell you how you can do just that.
