Tottenham Hotspur vs. West Ham United Betting Preview – EPL, October 18, 2020
It’s another EPL London derby on Sunday, as north takes on east with Spurs looking to follow up that incredible win at Old Trafford with another victory against West Ham.
But the Hammers have improved since the first two weeks of the season and should be expected to give the home side a run for its money here.
Spurs vs. West Ham Odds
The sportsbooks have concentrated on the way Spurs trounced Manchester United in its last game with the pricing of this game. West Ham’s recent good form has seemingly been disregarded and, with a game of this importance for the Hammers, the odds for the draw might be worth a look.
Spurs vs. West Ham Match Preview
Jose Mourinho will probably not admit it but Spurs must still be wondering how it managed to thrash Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford just before the international break. The victory was well deserved but these kinds of results are not supposed to happen in the EPL.
But there have been some real goal-fests this season –and Spurs have now been involved in two of them in just four games. If Tottenham can keep on scoring a lot of goals throughout the season then it might have a chance of claiming one of the European places. But that is still a big ‘if’.
West Ham can also be pretty happy with the way the season has gone so far. Although it was well beaten by Newcastle in the opening fixture, the narrow loss to Arsenal was an improvement – and that was followed by big wins against Wolves and Leicester.
Both of those victories were surprising and even though David Moyes was not in attendance for either of them because of ill health, he can be happy with the way his team has adapted from the earlier defeats. West Ham has not been a club that has been well run for a while, but there are some good players in this current squad that could help the team climb the table.
Spurs vs. West Ham Pick
The problem with West Ham is that you are never sure which team will turn up. It must be frustrating for the fans as there is a good core in the squad that could do some damage in the EPL. If the Hammers are on top of their game on Sunday it could end up all square at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
