Matchday 7 of the 2020-21 Serie A season will close down Sunday, November 8, with six games on the schedule, so I bring you the best Torino vs. Crotone betting pick along with the latest team news, stands, and odds update.

Both Torino and Crotone have struggled a lot since the opening weekend. They will meet each other for the first time since April 2018, desperately trying to finally get things going in 2020.

The Maroons are listed as slight home favorites in this one, although there won’t be the audience on the stands due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Torino will certainly miss support from its fans, but the bookmakers believe the Maroons are a better team than the Pythagoreans who returned to the Serie A this summer after a two-year span in the Italian second tier.

Torino vs. Crotone Preview

Torino is sitting at the 18th spot of the Italian Serie A standings with just four points and a 12:16 goal difference out of its first six outings.

The Maroons are coming off their first win of the season. They beat Genoa 2-1 on the road this past weekend even though Torino took just one shot on target. Genoa scored an own goal to help the Maroons win their first three points.

In three outings at home so far, Torino has recorded three losses with a 7:11 goal difference. The Maroons scored at least a couple of goals in each of their three home contests, but their defense was terrible in the process.

Torino misses a few important first-team players including centre-back Armando Izzo and forward Vincenzo Millico. Striker Andrea Belotti leads the way for the Maroons with six goals and a couple of dishes, while midfielder Simone Verdi added a pair of goals and assists.

On the other side, Crotone cannot count on midfielder Salvatore Molina (COVID-19). Striker Emmanuel Riviere is doubtful to play Sunday, so Simy will lead the Pythagoreans’ frontline.

Simy scored three goals for Crotone this term, while midfielder Arkadiusz Reca is the team’s best assist-maker with two dishes in six appearances.

The Pythagoreans are sitting bottom of the Serie A standings with just one point and a 6:17 goal difference. They suffered five losses in the first six rounds along with a surprising 1-1 home draw against the reigning champs Juventus.

Crotone is coming off a 2-1 home defeat to Atalanta last weekend, while the Pythagoreans have dropped all their three road contests while posting a 4:12 goal difference.

Torino vs. Crotone Pick

Pick
  • Both Teams to Score YES
    -164

Both Torino and Crotone have a lot of problems on the defensive end and will struggle to keep their net intact Sunday.

The Maroons conceded in six straight outings, and all these six contests saw both teams scoring. On the other side, five of Crotone’s six Serie A games this season produced goals on both sides.

Therefore, I have to bet on BTTS YES. The betting trends are not a decisive factor, but it shows how poor defensively these two teams have been since Matchday 1. On the other hand, the Maroons and Pythagoreans are certainly capable of scoring when they take on each other.

Four of the last five encounters between Torino and Crotone saw both teams finding the net.
