Titans vs. Rams Sunday Night Football Player Props – Week 9, 2021

| November 5, 2021 2:23 pm PDT

This week’s rendition of Sunday Night Football isn’t quite as awesome as it could have been. Derrick Henry is set to miss the rest of the regular season, while Matthew Stafford is iffy with a bad back.

One way or another, the explosive shootout NFL fans assumed they were getting won’t be quite as they pictured it.

Even so, there are a lot of ways to profit from this game. The first is to bet on who will win, and you can gain insight on that via Dan Vasta’s Titans vs. Rams betting pick.

You can also make money by betting on Sunday Night Football player props. Here are a few that caught my eye, along with my top SNF player prop bet for week nine.

Ryan Tannehill Over 14.5 Rushing Yards (-115)

The Titans are going to have to run the ball by proxy. Derrick Henry is done for the year, and they’re relying on a scat-back and a 36-year old Adrian Peterson.

This, on the road against a nasty Rams defense that just got better by trading for Von Miller.

Whether by design, or as a response to L.A.’s fierce pass rush, Tannehill is going to have to take matters into his own hands.

I think the logic adds up to hammering the Over here, but Tannehill also is simply a good athlete who knows how to make plays with his legs. He’s smashed this rushing yardage total five times in 2021 already, and he should do it again on Sunday Night Football.

Secondary prop bet: Tannehill to Score a TD (+310)

Cooper Kupp to Top 98.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

This is a very high receiving yardage total for most players, but for Cooper Kupp, it really isn’t.

Kupp’s insane pace has to slow down at some point (I think), but so far, it hasn’t. He’s topped this mark with ease in five different games. In two of the three where he didn’t, he still had 92+ yards.

He’s just such a massive part of what the Rams do through the air, and wouldn’t you know it, but the Titans rank dead last in yardage allowed to wide receivers.

Kupp should be as busy as ever here. Not only was DeSean Jackson recently released, but the guy across from him – Robert Woods – isn’t 100% healthy.

Provided Matthew Stafford (back) isn’t a liability, Kupp should be fed and excel in this plus matchup.

Secondary prop bet: Kupp to Top 7.5 Receptions (-115)

Jeremy McNichols to Score a TD (+225)

I think Tannehill plunging in on a RPO or a sneak is absolutely in play, but the better bet may be to roll with McNichols.

Yes, the ageless wonder that is Adrian Peterson is going to be available, but McNichols knows the system better. I tend to think he’ll be getting more snaps, while his superior ability as a receiver gives him a second path to a score.

Derrick Henry isn’t someone that can be easily replaced, but opportunity means quite a bit.

McNichols may be temporarily sliding into something close to a full-time role, and it’s a spot that handed Henry numerous scoring chances near the goal-line.

On the off chance McNichols gets a crack at some of those totes – or is thrown the ball inside the 10, I don’t mind aiming high with this +225 price.

My Top SNF Player Prop

  • Ryan Tannehill Over 0.5 INT

There are a lot of solid Sunday Night Football player props to roll with at the best NFL betting sites, but the best one has to be Tannehill tossing a pick.

I’d be interested in this even if the Titans were at full strength. Tannehill can make silly mistakes, and he’s already thrown seven picks in 2021.

Adding to the allure is a difficult test on the road, as he has to deal with the three-headed monster of Aaron Donald, Von Miller, and Jalen Ramsey.

A.J. Brown also popped up on the injury report on Friday, and of course the absence of King Henry can’t help matters.

Roll it all up into a profitable little ball, as Tannehill has been picked off in five games this year, and he faces a Rams defense that ranks 5th in opponent interception percentage.

Overall, I hope these Sunday Night Football player prop bets treat you well. If you want to bet on the players in this game some more, check out my Sunday Night Football DFS picks below.
