Thistledown Racino Picks – Wednesday, September 30, 2020

| September 30, 2020 1:40 am PDT

Thistledown Racino in North Randall, Ohio lightened up on the underdog opportunities today, but I still found some bargain bets certain to improve our mood and our bankrolls.

Incidentally, if you’re interested in taking a look at the entire slate of races at Thistledown Racino, you can always find them at one of our top online racebooks.

Let’s get to my predictions and picks for Thistledown Racino today.

Picks for Thistledown Racino Race 2

This is an allowance race for fillies and mares three years old and upward running a distance of 5-1/2 furlongs for a purse of $21,500.

I like the 5/2 morning line favorite here—Diva Power, with Jose A. Bracho in the irons. This three-year-old filly finished in the money for five of her ten career starts, winning three of them.

At 10/1 consider a show bet on Annisquam, ridden by Yarmarie Correa. This eight-year-old mare moneyed 32 of her 52 starts, winning 15 of them. Considering Correa’s five-pound apprentice allowance, you might even consider her for an across-the-board wager, but I’m just going with a show ticket.

  • Win: Diva Power 5/2
  • Show: Annisquam 10/1

Pick for Thistledown Racino Race 5

This is an allowance race for Ohio-foaled fillies and mares three years old and upward running a distance of 5-1/2 furlongs for a purse of $31,700.

I’m going with the second-favored (3/1) entry in this race—Dyna’s Holiday, with Ricardo Feliciano in the irons. This three-year-old filly moneyed five of her six career starts, winning two of them.

The longest odds in this race are 10/1, and that entry does not appear to be interested in money finishes.

  • Win: Dyna’s Holiday 3/1

Picks for Thistledown Racino Race 7

This is an allowance race for Ohio-foaled fillies and mares three years old and upward running a distance of 5-1/2 furlongs for a purse of #31,700.

I’m backing the 5/2 morning line favorite, Sole Factor, with Luis Raul Rivera aboard. This four-year-old filly moneyed 13 of her 33 starts, winning five.

At 10/1, Fantasy Fest, ridden by veteran jockey Jose A. Bracho, is a value show bet. This three-year-old filly moneyed all three of her career starts, winning two of them. Worth an across-the-board? You be the judge.

  • Win: Sole Factor 5/2
  • Show: Fantasy Fest 10/1
