| June 16, 2021 7:17 am PDT

All bets for Teofimo Lopez vs. George Kambasos Jr. are on ahead of Saturday’s WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, and The Ring lightweight title clash at LoanDepot Park, in Miami, Florida.

I’ll be covering the latest odds for Lopez vs. Kambasos before attempting to pinpoint where the best bets are to be found in this fight. It’s an intriguing bout that bettors certainly have the potential to make some money from this weekend.

I’m hoping my predictions and betting pick for Lopez vs. Kambasos will help you make some profit on the fight. Keep reading for who wins and why, and I’ll get to the rest as we go along.

Let’s begin.

Lopez or Kambasos Jr. – Who Wins the Fight?

  • Teofimo Lopez by KO/TKO

If you’re betting on Lopez to beat Kambasos by stoppage, it looks like we’re on the same page.

As much as I respect the Australian as a fighter, Teofimo is special. And while he won’t find it easy to stop Kambasos, I can see a late knockout for the American.

You’ll have to stick with me to find out why. But before I add any details to my prediction for Lopez vs. Kambasos, I have some odds and best bets for you to look at first.

Latest Odds for Lopez vs. Kambasos Jr.

Teofimo Lopez to Win-1100
Gary Kambasos Jr.+550

MyBookie has set Lopez’s odds to beat Kambasos at -1100 at the time of writing.

That means that you need to put down $1100 to make $100 in profit. Now, the reasons why Lopez’s odds to win are so short are that he is coming off a win against the legendary Vasyl Lomachenko, and, well, he’s considered a step above the Aussie.

Australians love their boxing and will be looking forward to betting on their man this Saturday.

But realistically, the odds for Kambasos to beat Lopez aren’t sweet enough to consider.

A win for the 27-year-old would be a sizeable shock, and I don’t think odds of +550 offer much in the form of betting value.

Let’s continue forward to the top bets to place on Lopez vs. Kambasos.

Best Bets for Lopez vs. Kambasos Jr.

Lopez to Win by KO/TKOTBD
Lopez to Win in Rounds 1-3TBD
Lopez to Win in Round 2TBD

My prediction for Lopez vs. Kambasos is crystal clear, but I won’t be taking him at odds of -1100 on the moneyline.

Instead, I see Teo Lopez to win by stoppage as the bet to make. As it stands, the prop bets for Lopez vs. Kambasos have not been released. Therefore, I can’t give you the prices you’re looking for.

You might be reading this once the odds have been released. So, make sure to check out any of our recommended boxing betting sites for a look at what odds are available.

The shortest odds for Lopez to stop Kambasos will definitely be for the KO/TKO. Then, it will be to stop the Aussie within the first three rounds. I like Lopez to blast his man away early, and the price for a win in Round 2 should be seriously tempting.

Why Lopez Beats Kambasos Jr.

At just 23, Teofimo Lopez is the best lightweight on the planet.

He told us all that he would outclass the iconic Vasyl Lomachenko. Many laughed, some believed. But all were united in being impressed by just how simple he made it look.

This Saturday, Lopez returns to the ring for the first time since that win. He takes on a crafty and tough Australian in George Kambasos Jr., who brings impressive hand speed into the ring. He is coming off a dubious split decision over the slick Lee Selby but faces a much tougher challenge on Saturday night.

Kambasos’ lack of power and forward movement will see him eating heavy shots from Lopez early on. I think he will buckle early under the American’s power and will ultimately be stopped inside the first two rounds.

More Boxing Matches to Bet On

That’s my prediction and betting pick for Lopez vs. Kambasos done and dusted.

In a battle of the US vs. Australia, I see the American emerging with a stoppage win in Miami this Saturday.

While Lopez vs. Kambasos is one of the higher-profile fights coming up this weekend, there are many other top-class bouts to look forward to. You can find more of my betting perspectives over on our boxing picks section.
